Anyone able to play Fighter's Anthology on WIN7?
Emp_Palpatine replied to Stratos's topic in The Pub
Well, last time I tried this gem it was under Win XP and it was quite freaky. The game was either way too fast or way too slow. I checked a few months (or was it years?) ago and it still had a small, albeit shrinking, community. They might have some solution for last gen O.S but I am quite skeptical. That's a shame, I miss the 1990's feel of some campaigns, and by the way Ukraine 1998 and Egypt civil war campaigns do have some echos nowadays... Edit: You may find some intell there : http://farc.3synergy.net/ And check this: http://farc.3synergy.net/files.php#FAWin7Batch Can't believe these guys were still active in 2013. -

Take care, and fight!

Oh, my bad. The bad guys were South-yemenis. Not notherners. Should definitely be in, though. I don't know if the map covers South Yemen, but these guys were quite vocals and agressive (and supported arab terrorism before it turned religious too). They would have meddled if anything was to happen in the area. And that would change from the "generic" soviet planes.

Did it with Flight Simulator 4, I flew the Camel and landed on the carrier sailing right outside San Francisco bay. But as the game was not made for this, I don't know if that counts. First true carrier landing was in Aces of the Pacific. Didn't remember the aircraft, though... All of this using the keyboard, of course.

Veltro2k WWII WIPS
Emp_Palpatine replied to Veltro2k's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - World War II Forum
Great! So much 1939-1940 planes... Do I smell a Battle for France campaign? -
That news looks fake... For the moment. But hey, we are speaking about a dude that killed some high ranking general with mortar fire. So it's not that far-stretched. Of course, having lived in a dictatorship for a year, nuking them isn't a solution. But dealing with that "leadership" and/or allowing nor-Ko people to free themselves is one. They are way more aware than we think: news come from pirated DVD bought in China, wireless, etc... The catch is opposition is death, unless a whole people does it.

I indeed put my hands in files and did what's needed to fly AI planes, thanks to Nato Fighters MiGs. Regarding your question: F-5 were quickly discarded post-Qaddadi's coup. Imperialist planes, they were sold to Turkey iirc and the handfull of trained pilot were converted on mirages. MiG-25 indeed entered service in the 1980's, let's say my enthousiasm spoke. Your changes should remove MiG 17 & 19 and convert these on Mirage. Libyan Arab/People (the name changing came around that time) Air Force was at that time mirage dominated but soviet planes were more and more numerous. If you can, some skins could be great, especially egyptian "high viz" on the MiGs. Thanks, nonetheless, for a great mod. I had much fun with it during the holidays.

Hey guys, it's been a while... I'm getting back in touch with SF2 games. Actually, I do own SF2 collection pack (the limited offer pack sold in 2009 that included SF2, SF2:Europe2 SFI2 & SFV2). I tried to install my owned SF2 expansions, but I failed: they want lastest update to be applied to the pack. The catch is... The patch installer does not accept to be applied on my SF2 install. Any ideas? Do I have to get back to the most early patches and install them one by one?! Thanks!

Hi, this is CombatAce member Emp_Palpatine, with special message for all of my friends here. CombatAce members do download lots of mods and fantastic third-party add-ons here at C.A. And the best one do produce them, taking hours and hours of their private life to do so. They sometime represent dozens of hours of downloads and of gigabytes in your installs. I urge all our CombatAce member to back up their datas, on any external HDD or DVD. STAY SAFE, BACK UP YOUR STUFFS! (Just a WWE-don't try this-like message as a CombatAce Back Up awareness Day message. I actually suffered from a severe computer crash last couple of weeks, hence my silence. BUT: I did have back ups of my favorite stuffs and mods, saving me download time, search time here on CA and CA's bandwitch. Back up, and you'll say:

Well guys, results are out. Looks like it's a FAIL. Thanks for your past support all the same! Now it's time to find another goal for my life...

Hey guys! In order to avoid mod-related question clogging the May 2011 updates thread, I create this one... I guess a lot of players, like myself, do enjoy a lot more TK sims with pure downloadable awsomness like most mod here at CA. This being said, I am still familiarizing my self with Gen2 games and their architecture, so I want to be sure I can patch before doing it. First question: when I do patch the root file of my games, all are updated, except the custom .exe like Falklands? And a little list, feel free guys to add your mods: * Falklands Mod: not compatible? I guess so because of the CAT issues... * NF4+: Don't know yet, some reported issues... * SF2:V Air & Ground Expansion 2: don't know yet * Taiwan Modern Warfaire: don't know yet * 48-56 add-on for exp1: don't know yet Feel free to add any. My goal is to help mod users like me to know if, when, and how they can patch.
