Senza commenti.

F/A-18A HUD Problems in WOI
Canadair replied to wagsled's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
I just tried the package I sent you. Works perfectly on my system. all what you have to do is unpack it and place it in the aircraft folder. you might need to adjust loadout, but this is s econdary and easy problem, having only the reticle of the gun means that you are using an Fa18.ini that points to avionics 60!. I really don't know who to help you more than that. -

Can we keep it on track guys, and leave all this " we own this and that"? Every plane we get fro the flight sim is a great addition and those exotic russian planes are very intersting. A question about what owns what is really not intersting. Who cares, the idea is flying and fighting and have fun. -
Afghanistan Terrain
Canadair replied to Gepard's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
Regarding the above: I haven't tried your beta afghan terrain yet, but I liked the idea you had about ground battles In falkland addon, with compnt mission the detroyers ashore os stanley were shelling the airport after a certain date. I did not have tgis happening with sept 08 patch. Then I've setup a falkland install using the aforementioned add on and basing it to a sfp1 patched to oct08b ;I noticed Argentine destroyers surrounding stanley are sheeling the airport again, althoguh with much less precision. -

Yes you are right, my bad; still, if a node(where battle is most likely to occur) is close enough to an artillery site, they shoudl shoot -

this idea of troops treated as ground objects in a target area had been suggested by gepard at the begniing of this thread. With patch sept08 troops (ground object) shooting at each other was not possible anymore.I brought this to TK and with patch oct08b i obsereved in falkland scenario ships shelling again stanley. So i assume that the amswer to your question is yes -
-
A me Aquila d'acciaio è piaciuto.

Tranne flight of the intruder, il film orribile, tratto dal bellissimo Flight of the Intruder di Coonts. cmq bella idea avere aperto un thread a proposito

No trees after patch
Canadair replied to kukulino's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Yes I think as well is a simple mishap, it is something so big and evident that is not in TK's style to be left untreated. On the other hand, Brain have you looked at the terrain Data? I am checkin WOI's one since is the only one I patched so far. I can't see any real difference regarding alpha object entries compared to the sept08's one. Which what led me to thinkt hat it is a code problem. what do you think? Tk is advised, someone already posted at TW's forum http://bbs.thirdwire.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=5816 (a shame because I liek the label-thing, especially in later days campaigs, they make a good Awacs-simulation and inprove your SA; and god only know how many other goddies are hidden in the patch..if it wasn't for this tree thing( -
No trees after patch
Canadair replied to kukulino's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
I am REALLY animal friendly, but in this case Wrench I am with you. Anyway, let's put jokes aside. This is a REAL issue, that jeopardizes the whole patch. It would be good if a group of the main modders, (those that keep the series alive and are and have been testers, and most likely are listened to from TK) bring this issue to me. You would agree, that this issue is a NOGO one -
No trees after patch
Canadair replied to kukulino's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
This is a light survey sim that simulates air-fighting during the late 60 and 70s. There were no trees in that time, therefore it is within the scope of the sim! Oh wait, I ve been told there were trees around, damn, who writes this book and takes this pictures from the '60s with all those trees,,,? Damn I gave a very quick look to the israeliME DATA; there is nothing that looks really changed. I fear that there is somewhat missing in the code that links tiles to their tods, but I might be wrong, we have to check more. Seems something escaped "testing" at 3rdwire, in this case might need a fix from TK. I wonder why two relatively big pachets issued in such short amount of time. As much as I am quite happy with the free-support offered from TK, his planning and procedures really do escape my understanding, but again it is free,, so how can one actually complain? Besides, anyone can point me to a FULL list of file changes? Sighs and dives into the patchign agaion, when I ahd JUST finished sept 08. I hope that next time something this major is on the way at short notice someone will let us know so that the migration can be planned ahead. -

Static Aircraft after patch
Canadair replied to snakeman's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
I do confirm paul, it is actually your static, and it happens with the planes in WOV's missions too , to be at an angle in the Q sheds -
Omg , I ve never seen that as total crash. you have something severly broken somewhere I have basically all terrain working (with a few glithes but solving them one by one), except the WWII themed ones, that I have not tried yet. I suggest you install from scracth , and then you add the terrains, and then iron the little incompatibilites one by one, as described in he numerous threads around.. I know it is a silly advice, but something is badly broken ober tehre
