Falklands mod - minor bugs
Canadair replied to Piett's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Dear kesselbrut, and other users. To kesselbrut, thanks for he Falkland campaing and scenario I have four questions, to whhich you could answer when you have time -I had consistent CTD in campaign selection screen, after that you pick campaing save name. I think it is due to the anti-ship mission. (not the strike missions against ship target.) I had this problem in an antiship campaign I wanted to make. What happens is that in order not to have CTD when an antiship mission is generated by campaign engine, all the cargo_ship must be labelled as Generic. We discussed this problem also with baltika for his BoB scenario and campaign. So it is a matter of educated guess turning some ship which are very nation specific to warship, so that they are not picked as targets. And labeling nation generic those that we like to picked as targets for antiship missions. By doing so I solved the problem. On the other hand no other user yet reported this problem , so I don't know. any idea?Still some anti-ship mission gets targeted off map, but I guess that this a sfp limitation (bug) -in the Campaing data (op corporate, raf side) there is the tag FOCUSAREA; is this active in SFP, or is it an WOI only feature? -in the campiagn data appears the target type Ammo_storage. there is no type labeled as such in terrain's types.ini -I can't get the bombsigh in the camberra to appear with the H key. All of those details. Nothing major, more interesting culturally wise that real problems. Again thank you, for the scenario, the campiagn, the revamoed and the new objects. -
beh per quella manca ancora qualcosa..

Airmax. AG radar does not work because of game limitations. With avionics 70 module included in completely patched SFP, it is impossible to have CCIP and AG radar toghter. This is code limitations In WOI, there is instead possible -
Solo una parola GR7. Ed il casting, caro Valfrè è fatto.

Are you allowed visitors on the Islander? I am not on the Canadair. I am trying this for a fellow combatacer, but it is more complicated than it seems. But yes add wing to washingmachine and I like to see it flying and landing. Still Airline Operations at time might be a little boring. One reason to go spot and fly Canadair water bombers. It flies low as a jetfighter, is big as a small turboprop, and saves the day, and you get to surf the waves. Yesterday I was as the hotel's where we are stationed swimming pool with some friends, and the afternoon collegues, back from their flight did a low pass on the hotel, which is very close to the runways. I t was amazing, the ground pounded, and I was so proud of my job. Those are some pictures taken last summer.. There we go Pick-up water going in Water drop Up Up and away Going home (btw. someone is making a firefighting campaign mod for sfp...)

Dear fellow moderator. Back Up Then Back up again What happens with SFP series is that it can get so customized that it might be a real PITA recovering form major failurs -

It is even worse when the 500GB external fails; which is what happened to me. I moved country for work and I brought with me the external HDwith backups of several installs (WOE, SFP, WOV etc etc plus music etcetc I managed to copy all my managable merged SFP , 25 gig and the thing died. thankfully thereare backup of the backups in Italy so no install is completeley lost. But I lost my library of files of zips and rars. Some of them I can't get anymore anywhere, no problem since I have the xpanded one in my installs, but still. for example I could make it with deuces's desert repaint.. -

Definetely Aviano, for NATO ops Ghedi, in between Verona and Brescia (home of Tornado Squadrons) Istrana, less or more by Treviso (AMX) Going along the adriatic, we have CERVIA, (F-16) Rimini, used to host NAto ops, and F-104, now it an Army helicopter base, but in wartime would be used since it has 3.2 km runway Ancona, used by RAF tankers Much more south almost at the heel of the boot, Amendola (AMX) and Gioia del COlle (tornado) Along with Decimomannu in sardinia, Trapani in sicily, Grosseto on the tirrenian sea, Piacenza (tornado again, and up in the north south of Milan), Pisa (C-130 and G-222) those are the main base that oe would expect to see in a Italy-Yugolasvia scenario

Bei giochi di parole. Non volevo creare un caso. Cmq (A)Viazione (N)avale, che in sè andrebbe anche bene, anzi. Troppo cosa seria la Destra per il nano plutocrate.

In deed. Point being is. How many F-22 for how many open fronts around the world? Don't get me wrong, USA security is a big WeternCivilization security, that's why we should be more and closer to each other

My respect Dave. I read your issues about your job, and being in a similar position at the moment, in a world where respect to the workers and those who serve dwindel every day more, I wish you the best in every new position that you are going to occupy.

Yes it does. that setting is related to AI capabilities to spot other planes. I raised the value to 12000 to all planes. My procedure for BVR is: Lock the target on radar. Press CTRL-R to enage it visually, even if, of course I can't see it. Attack it or order to the wingmen to attack my target. They will launche AHM and SAHM; sadly so will do the enemy planes. Actually the engagements BVR are fast and frenetic and still quite tactical at times. Fubar what do you think of 12000 as visability, do you sugggst a difeerent value? TV Tower in berlin
Canadair replied to Canadair's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
 well that was actually the purpose; I was on a bombing hunt Now I have the picture of the tower escaping on little stick legs! And of course I am trying to have it bombed with an LGB by an AI-controlled flight Anyway it is a date problem, The Berlin Tower appears after 1969, and flying the mission in late 50's does not help -

Yeah I know, I remember it. Now why in the hell it does not show? -
Of course I know I can send my wingman to attack primary. Point is that, as someone else stated in this very thread, 3 and 4 will go all over the place, performing SEAD. It is true that at times there are other flights performing attacks on the same target, which is good and realistic. Still would be nice to have the option of more managing of my flight group; maybe 3 and 4 can ataack and I will perform SEAD or Cover? yes I know there are escort and sweep flights, but still, I guess we would all agree that the more managing option the better. One point is IMHO also that this SIM is not really "lite". Better, it is called "lite" when some "unrealistic or inadequate" situations show up, (and some of them are really only one step up, or down, from ACEcomabat) but rightly so, it is called "not-lite" when discussing flihgt modelling, or loadout options, or AA-networking, or some weapon modeling characteistcs. So "lite" or "not-Lite"? I think we should decide, and so should TK. As for now the game is in a limbo in between two worlds. A few steps up from Ace-combat, and some steps down from Falcon4. Most likely TK will pick "lite" since this is what sells in a fast-gratification world. (sigh) I am led to think that everyone that plays SF seiries is aviation and sim -skilled like people on this forum. Probably I am wrong, , the average user does not mod, does not read aviation history, does not care about realism, but he can't or won't play Acecombat because it is too childish and his son is playing Acecombat on the playstation in the next room. I 'd like it to go up a few steps towards higher level of simming, but again it is MHO. Still perhaps this -between two worlds- situation is probably fun since we are all playing this game afer so many years after all, and in this community we are alla viation entuasist and we crank the SF series to the highest realsim possible with the various mods. Still one hits the "wall" and wonders what this could be, with a little effort. Not to mention the god graphics on older system etc. But we all know the good points otherwise we won't be here at all. The idea is having a feedback from the community to TK, without being scared of thinking and asking. I did not understand many of choices until he clearly stated that many are just a budget problem. He simply does not have the money to fund a bigger operation. Supporting him, especially in this sim-middleage is the only way to go to a renaissance. But I think that we should "push the envelope".

Does it exist?
