View File Sea Vixen FGA4 VERY IMPORTANT............. This aircraft uses the Third Wire Lightning53 cockpit, so it will only work if you have Exp2 installed. This is a fictional RAF Sea Vixen made from the original model by Skippybing. It is now a single seat aircraft, new electronics & avionics are taking up the place of the second crew member! The engines have been replaced by afterburning units like used in the lightning, also 2 cannons were added into the lower nose section along with air to ground radar. Thanks m8, currently I have it using a slightly modified Lightning53 pit, seems to fit the bill nicely. -

F-4E update
Sundowner replied to ravenclaw_007's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Stunning work -
Find the panel finder tool at simmers paintshop, add it to a new layer on any/all the skin temps, drop the opacity to about 50% & try it in game, it'll help loads when trying to line things up, just keep messing m8, it's all trial and error to start with, the main thing is have fun doing it.....you'll learn more when you're happy than you will pissed off.

F-4EJ
Sundowner replied to ravenclaw_007's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Ahhh, the mysterious EF-4EJ, I've read about this a few times, from what I remember it was an unnoficial name given to a few aircraft [maybe less than 10] that were set up to provide specialised jamming during exercises, possibly each squadron would set up 1 or 2 for this role depending on the scale of the exercise, the AN/ALE-41 equipped aircraft would effectively be nothing more than a good old fashioned "chaff bomber". I have an old Japanese aviation magazine somewhere with a few pictures of these birds in action......if only I could find it. -

This continues to be an uphill struggle I'm afraid, there used to be a great site many years ago [long gone now] that had various pictures of every aircraft, details, weapons the lot. As for books the only one I have showing any amount of armed aircraft is this, in Japanese though......and pretty rare nowadays. @ Streakeagle, for pictures of actual combat armed Israeli F-4's I can recommend these: http://www.cybermodeler.com/hobby/ref/airdoc/book_airdoc_kurnass1.shtml http://www.cybermodeler.com/hobby/ref/airdoc/book_airdoc_kurnass2.shtml
