  1. Makes me wonder what are the sales of recent Thirdwire SF2 series titles, which have no DRM/CP at all... And the way these titles are thought and created, even encourages end-user to make multiple (modded) instances of the same title (ok, so it was with the "first" series)

  5. Interesting. Once I was thinking about simple saturation, color correction of the whole Brain's package for use with Darwin rebuild, and other terrains using the same tileset. But repeating self, for Vietnam terrain this unsaturated set is perfect!
  6. New/updated terrain engine -but it's on my wishlist for every TK's title... Also more life on the ground, some trucks, wagons, troops, tents and so on. Railways network. Played OFF:BHAH too much few past days Edit: having the fog moved back, and maybe manning gunner position, would be cool too
  7. Brain32's ground textures are the best ones available for the series. Period. Try it. With Green Hell 2. You'll never revert to stock terrain tileset anymore, trust me

  10. Stock Harrier GR.1A cockpit from SF2 Europe: edit: Gr.Viper was faster, all SF2E Harrier variants (GR.1, GR.1A and GR.3) use the same pit I think

  12. OFF is a stand alone simulation, build on top of Microsoft's "Combat Flight Simulator 3" engine that requires certain files from CFS3 DVD/CDs during install and run. It's the most immersive single player experience you can now get in my opinion. Haven't tried the MP, I'm the singleplayer guy by own decission. But let the long time users and OFF forum members speak now. I have OFF since monday -already falling in love for it's unpredictible living world!

  17. Green Hell 2 has there IIRC... just some renaming (and pointing to valid bmp or tga file) should work
  18. I bought it from flight sim pilot shop, should arrive within 2 weeks, then I'll have my own unbiased (thank you SimHQ ) opinion about it. The recent user posted Y-tube movies doesn't look that bad after all. And quoting Jedi Master above: "Having 4 planes is more than 2x better than just 2" -main reason I bought FE with Expansion Pack, 3 planes was a bit too small choice at start.

  21. thanks uncleal, I fly with labels off, just at the start of flight I padlock flightleader, helps maintain formation (Target Display also off for surprise of course)
  22. thanks Olham, I read in the FAQ about the lack of action in 1916, opposite to mid 1917 -survived two flight: transfer,transfer, killed on takeoff by enemy during scramble

  24. Hello, I'm new to OFF:BHAH, but I played a little Phases 1 and 2 back in 2006 and 2007. Long time CFS 3 experience. First, I'm very impressed by the amount and quality of work put into this simulation -previous installments are no indication of the Phase 3 experience! Thank you developers! Also I'm very happy that some issues that are hard-coded are being constantly "cracked" -the use of no more supported CFS3 engine was holding me off at beginning. There are few things I'd like to know: 1) view system -is it possible to pan the view with mouse? Can't afford TrackIR at the moment, hat switch isn't that useful (long habit of using mouse to do so) 2) claims -how long does it take to approve/reject them? my fellow pilots usually die on next or yet another flight 3) once in a squadron transfer my waypoints messed up, leading straight north off the map -might be because I've installed BHAH over Phase 2? 4) playing on 120% realism (auto mixture on) dead is dead caused errors few times ie. I was badly shoot and my crate exploded mid air, yet my pilot survived, next mission I emergency landed in fields, but banked to the left and shattered my wings at very low speed, pilot killed (Se5a Viper) 5) serving for France in mid 1916, I had several (four or five now) flights without a single contact (flying Bebe in Alsace) All the above in OFF 1.31L, Phase 3 installed ontop of Phase 2.
