  1. F-86D-31 Royal Danish Air Force

F-86D-31 Royal Danish Air Force Esk 726

This is a Redo of my earlier Skin. In fact it's a complete new mod.

This is a complete Aircraft. with better Sidewinder rails and a gun firring fake rockets. So now AI will engage Air2Air
with rockets. But whatch the ammo. You only have 24 shots.

ONLY reason to create a gun which is not historical correct on the D model is a compromise betwen realliaty and what the sim allowes
I STRESS again had the sim allowed the AI to engage with rockets I wouldnt have added the Gun tray. but retained the original Rocket tray.

How to install?? Unpack, drag and drop the entire Objects Folder into your WOX install. Add the weapons data and gundata
into the respective ini's open and save with the guneditor and weaponeditor. IF you have Ravenclaw_007's late CL-13B pack
installed only the tanks needs to be added in the weaponsdata.ini.

I would like to say thanks to:

The original F-86D Team for alowing me to use their stuff.
Bobrock for his Templates I used.
Ravenclaw-007 for the tank templates and sidewinder rails.
    Julhelm for the gundata entry.
    Vigilant for the gun.
Fast Cargo For the rocket tray animation tip.

Enjoy and REMEMBER this is freeware stuff and it should newer be used in ANY payware mod. But feel free to use at will otherwise

  2. Canadair Sabre Mk.6, Fuerza Aérea Colombiana

Canadair Sabre Mk.6, Fuerza Aérea Colombiana (Columbian Air Force) for SF/WoV/WoE/WoI and probably SF2

-Part of an on-going series of mod recreating Central American Airpower

Modifications, and a complete reskin of the Zur's Canadair Sabre into those as used by the Columbian Air Force.
This is a aircraft mod, with everything included to (well, pretty much ) just unzip and fly away with!!

The skins, from templates supplied by Zur about a milliion years ago, represent an "RAF Euro style" of coloring and pattern. The pattern itself might be considerd "interperative", but follows fairly closely to what few photos I was able to find in the research phase of this mod..New decals for the individual aircraft are from historical listings. The numbers.lst, while included, is NOT active, to prevent 'running out of numbers in game' (as they only had 12 aircraft, I made more decals than is actual historicaly accurate, but still.....). It's just renamed, so it's easy to reactiveate it.

You also get a new WoE style Hangar screen, all the weapons are included (well, ok just the drop tanks in this case...) in the new "folder format" for use in post-patch installs, -and- in EACH weapons folder is a _data.ini as used by SF2. Unfortunately, as I don't have SF2, some experimentation on your part will be required to install and get them up and running. (meaning, I'm not sure how the numberation runs...)

Cockpit mods are the inclusion of the "K-14" style air-to-air and air-to-ground sights, as seen on some other Sabre mods I've released.

IMPORTANT: a NEW Nations.ini is included with the mod that superceeds the previously released version. Simply put, I'd totally forgotten to add Columbia to the listing; which would cause MAJOR issues!!! Sorry! So, just replace the pre-existing versions with this one.

This mod is designed for use with, I'm hoping, ANY weapons pak. You may just need to add a few things. If you've already added the Sabre tanks from another mod or weapons pak, you need not add them again.

= IMPORTANT: This aircraft has been tested in Post-Patch SF/WoV/WoE/WoI. Be advised of the existence of some handling issues prevelant in WW2 era and many Pre-Patch (ie: 06 level) aircraft. Fly accordingly!!! It should also work in SF2 and later iterations - this has NOT been tested, however.

As always, unzip this to a temp folder somwhere, and you'll have access to the rest of the readme for it's instructions.

    Happy Landings!

  4. F-86F Sabre, Spanish Air Force

F-86F "Sabre", Spanish Air Force (EDA) Mod

This package contains a complete aircraft, based on Zur's F-86F, as used by the Spanish Air Force, Ejército del Aire, during the late 1950s through approx 1965, when most were replaced by F-104G 'Starfighters'.

As stated, this is a COMPLETE nation-specific airplane, with all the trimmings, ready to unzip and fly away. It contains a new natural metal skin and decals for 18 aircraft. It represents Ala 1 at approximately 1959-ish ;) There are some small mods to the cockpit, namely my K-14 sight set (as seen on "The Hunters" Sabre mod), and the addition of an audio-only RWR (track sound ONLY). It is designed for use with ANY weapons pak, or none at all. The drop tanks are included, for those that don't have them, in the post-patch style of seperate folders.

Loadouts are standard USAF style; with the exception of Sidewinders. Historically, the EDA =did= upgrade their Sabres in the early 60s to the late F-40 standards, with the inclusion of the AIM-9 capability. This is still intact, but the loadout is adjusted to NOT give them to you right off. If you wish them, you'll have to edit the loadout ini or load them manually.

Included is a new sound "JetEngine2.wav", that has a more whiney turbo-jet sound than the stock JetEngine sound. Also for your enjoyment, is a new WoE-style Hangar screen -only available in the mod!!

This aircraft was tested in Post-Patch (9/08 & 10/08) WoE, it should work just as well in SF, WoV and WoI. Be advised, the FM might need a little tweeking for the new parameters post patch, but I've encounted no real adverse characteristics. It flys real nice as is!

For once, there's a pretty simple easy to follow readme (was that a sigh of relief I just heard??) But, still, PLEASE read the it!! As well as the expected Notes and Other Nonsense section for comments and the like

    Happy Hunting!

  5. Sabre small pack.rar

Until Pasko release something new - here you are 2 mods "gap fillers" - there are quite some time on my HDD(amoungst many other - "sub mods"

    First Aircraft
This aircraft depicts an F-86F-1 Sabre of the ROCAF.All planes are later upgraded to F-86F-40 standard with 6-3 (F-40)wings and AIM-9 rails, many air to air victories are made by ROCAF pilots in 1958
    over PLAAF.

The Republic of China Air Force of Taiwan was one of the first recipients of surplus USAF Sabres. From December 1954 to June 1956, the ROC Air Force received 160 ex-USAF F-86F-1-NA through F-86F-30-NA fighters. By June 1958, the Nationalist Chinese had built up an impressive fighter force, with 320 F-86Fs and seven RF-86Fs having been delivered.

Sabres and MiGs were shortly to battle each other in the skies of Asia once again in the Second Taiwan Strait Crisis. In August 1958, the Chinese Communists of the People's Republic of China attempted to force the Nationalists off of the islands of Quemoy and Matsu by shelling and blockade. Nationalist F-86Fs flying CAP over the islands found themselves confronted by Communist MiG-15s and MiG-17s, and there were numerous dogfights.

During these battles, the Nationalist Sabres introduced a new element into aerial warfare — under a secret effort designated Operation Black Magic, the US Navy had provided the ROC with the AIM-9 Sidewinder, its first infrared-homing air-to-air missile, which was just entering service with the United States. A small team from VMF-323, a Marine FJ-4 Fury squadron with later assistance from China Lake and North American initially modified 20 of the F-86 Sabres to carry a pair of Sidewinders on underwing launch rails and instructed the ROC pilots in their use flying profiles with USAF F-100s simulating the MiG-17. The MiGs enjoyed an altitude advantage over the Sabres as they had in Korea and Communist Chinese MiGs routinely cruised over the Nationalist Sabres, only engaging when they had a favorable position. The Sidewinder took away that advantage and proved to be devastatingly effective against the MiGs.

The combat introduction of the Sidewinder took place in a battle on 24 September 1958 when ROC Sabres succeeded in destroying ten MiGs and scoring two probables without loss to themselves. In one month of air battles over Quemoy and Matsu, Nationalist pilots tallied a score of no less than 29 MiGs destroyed and eight probables, against a loss of two F-84Gs and no Sabres.

P.S. General Electric J47-GE-27/B (standard 27.10kN) installed in Taiwan kites is even stronger a bit (for short periods of time- 5mins or so- at 5468Rpm it can provide over 30KN of thrust on high attitude - I modelled that in Sabre FM)

    Installation:

Simply unzip the .rar file to into your Strike Fighters/Objects/Aircraft folder.

    Second Aircraft:
This aircraft depicts an F-86F-30-NA Attack Sabre of the USAF.Korean veteran and proof that Sabre can perform quite well as fighter/bomber.

    Installation:

Simply unzip the .rar file to into your Strike Fighters/Objects/Aircraft folder.

Many thanks to Zur, USAFMTL, Crab and Heck Mitchell,Pappy and special thanx (for friendship) goes to MoonJumper and Pasko
If I missed anyone...apologies in advance.

Ver. 1.1 Ravenclaw_007 made excellent CL-13B Sabre, I used silver skin with Kukulo's help to adopt it for Taiwanese F-86F-1,

thx goes to both of you guys - I scaled it down to 1024 as good compromise

Ver. 1.12 F-86F-1 ROLL control improved, some small skin improvements - mod is SFP1 compatible (2006 patch)

  8. F-86E-10 "The Hunters" Pak

F-86E-10 Sabre, 54th FIW "The Hunters" mod for SF/WoV/WoE/WoI

This is a small mod, and reskin, of the F-86E-10 released by Bob "howling1" Hauser several years ago; which in itself is a mod of Zur's F-86 Sabre. I've included Bob's original readme, so you can see his comments.

This is a complete aircraft, with all the trimmings. EVERYTHING is here to allow you to just unzip, and fly off to MiG Alley. The cockpit ini has had a little mod that includes the K-14 A-A and A-G gunsight tgas (seen also in several other WW2 & Korean era aircraft I've released)

There are 2 skin included, a slight revamping of the original "USAFSilver1", fixing some decal issues, and one of the most wanted Sabre skins of all time: The 54th FIW, as seen in the motion picture "The Hunters". Serial and buzz numbers for the first 14 aircraft come right from viewing the DVD, the others are 'leftovers' from another Sabre skin I did. Pilot names have been added to the canopy rail, so you can fly as your favorite character from the movie, or famous people from the 3rd Wire Sim community. Damage tgas have also been included, just it case Casey Jones shows up and shoots you full of holes....

A revamped/cleaned up version of my "Sabre1_Hangar" is also included.

== You MUST have the Bunyap Weapons Pak of 6/06 to get the WW2 style weapons ,and the Sabre drop tanks. I've not including any of them. So, if you're using the TMF weapons pak, you'll have to import the needed items. ==

The aircraft has been tested in SF/WoV/WoE. Other Sabre versions work fine in WoI, so you should have almost no problems with it, if installed there. But again, 'use at your own risk'. That's CYA for me!

Please read the included "readme" file for install instructions. Also, the usual "Note & Comments" by General BS

  15. FJ-3M Fury Addon

Soon after the Korean conflict began, the US Navy realized that its current front line fighters, the F9F Panther and F2H Banshee, were no match for the new MiG-15. The Navy wisely contracted North American Aviation to modify the superb F-86 Sabre for naval use, and the result was the FJ-2 Fury (the FJ-1 designation had already been applied to a completely different aircraft). The Fury was developed over the course of the 1950s into the FJ-3, represented here, and ultimately the FJ-4.

  17. F-86K Sabre Kilo

F-86K (Early Model) Sabre by Bunyap, Fubar512.
    Skins by USAFMTL and Sundowner.
    Original 3D model by Zur.

This is the early F-86K (pre ser number 56-4116) with the narrow chord wing. Later Ks had the extended F-40 wing and earlier ones were retrofitted. I'll have those when the L is done...

Put the plane in your aircraft folder. The skins are semi accurate based on the vague info I have on the K models of W Germany and Italy. Sleepy Sweeper is going to hook up the Norwegian Kilos. ( I think)

Make sure you have the latest wep pack to get the F-86 drop tanks.

Also in an update to the F-86D-45 which fixes the lights postions. Put that file in your main F-86D-45 folder and overwrite.

  18. F-86K/L Sabres

F-86 Kilo and Lima Sabres by Bunyap, Fubar512.
    Skins by USAFMTL and Sundowner.
    Original 3D model by Zur

    F-86K Late
The NA-242 batch differed from the previous batches by having the extended wing leading edges and wingtips of the F-86F-40-NA, increasing wingspan from 37.1 to 39.1 feet and wing area from 287.9 to 313.37 square feet. Many previous Fiat-assembled F-86Ks were modified in the field to bring them up to the NA-242 standard.

    F-86L
F-86L was fitted with the F-86F-40 wing, with twelve-inch wingtip extensions and "6-3" leading edge extensions with slats. The wingspan and wing area were 39.1 feet and 313.37 square feet respectively. The new wing improved the handing ability and provided better turning at high altitudes. The reconditioned F-86Ls retained the armament of twenty-four rockets of the F-86D.

    B. Notes :
    1. The PAF F-86F-35s were surplus USAF fighters designed to employ the Mk.12A Nuclear bomb using the
LABS method. When the F-35s were sold to both Pakistan & Portugal, the LABS timers were removed. PAF
F-86F-35s however retained the sight ( similar to the also LABS equipped A-4s ). Indeed PAF Sabre
pilots refered to the gunsights as "A-4 sights".
    2. While the F-86F-35 was able to carry 8 HVAR underwing rockets in US service, the PAF apparently pre-
fered to use rocket pods instead. Later PAF Canadair Sabre 6s also carried rocket pods in lieu of HVARs.

    5. And most importantly, special thanks to the mighty "Zur" for allowing me to tinker with his F-86F model.

As usual, these guys did all the hard work, any mistakes are mine.

    Enjoy!

    Final notes

This is good for taking out bombers. If you are lucky. Dogfighting fighters in it though, forget it. You will be able to see what the pilots of this aircraft had to go through in case of a war. It was not a ground attack aircraft, it was used for intercepts, high speed recon (if ever) and CAP's over the US and Canada. Good luck, you will need it.
