VF-11 Red Rippers for Mirage Factory F-8D
By Dave
The Navy fighter squadron known as the Red Rippers were established as VF-5S in 1927 at Hampton Roads, Virginia. They flew the Curtis F6C-3 Hawk and have served in World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. From 1927 to World War II, the Rippers flew several propeller aircraft including the Boeing F3B-1 and F4B-1, the Grumman FF-1 and F3F-1 and also held the following designations: VF-5S, VB-1B, VF-5 and VF-4. During World War II the Rippers were known as VF-41 and supported the allied invasion of North Africa, downing sixteen enemy aircraft in the Grumman F4F-3 Wildcat. They conducted the first air strikes against German forces in Norway in September 1943. The Red Rippers were designated VF-A when they transferred to the Pacific Theatre in 1944 on board USS Bunker Hill (CV-17) and USS Essex (CV-9). In the Pacific they flew the first air strikes against Tokyo in the Grumman F6F Hellcat.
In 1948 the Red Rippers were redesignated as VF-11. After World War II, the Red Rippers leaped into the jet age, flying the McDonnell F2H Banshee during the Korean War from the USS Kearsarge (CV-33). On 15 Feb 1959, the original Red Rippers were disestablished, but when VF-43 was redesignated as VF-11 on the following day, they decided to adopt the traditions and insignia of the Red Rippers. The "new" VF-11 Red Rippers transitioned to the Chance-Vought F-8 Crusader on USS Franklin D. Roosevelt (CV-42) where they helped quell the unrest in the Dominican Republic in 1961. In 1965 the Rippers moved to NAS Oceana flying the F-4 Phantom and saw action in North Vietnam in 1967 flying from the decks of USS Forrestal (CV-59).
Just put into your MF F-8D folder and fly.
Thanks to C5 for the skin templates. Thanks the rest of the MF for everything else.

KA-6D - VA65 (USS Enterprise)
By allenjb42
KA-6D Skins Readme
To install just extract the skin to your Objects/Aircraft/KA-6D folder, load up your sim and then go fly! The skin should be available in the drop down menu of the KA-6D Hangar Screen loadout section.
Thanks must go to the following:
Paul Nortness for his work in creating the skins (I just converted them for use with the KA-6D) and for his kind permission in allowing me to bring the skins to the SF community
The creators of the A-6 and KA-6 for bringing us these planes to play with.
TK for SF, WOV, WOE, FE and who knows what else.
Have fun, and good hunting...

SI Mig-15UTI
By paulopanz
SI (Suomen Ilmavoimat) MIG-15UTI
I made this skin for the transition to Mig-21Fs (take a look) and …. for the linx.
In their long duty these 4 planes changed several times their numbers positions and fonts, this ones, for me, are the best.
Suhsjake’s temps and Yefim Gordon reference as usual.
Paolo :fan_1:
To install Just put, as usual:
- FinlandSilver1 folder in to your Mig-15 UTI folder;
- Cut decals folder and paste in your objectcs folder;

Israeli Super-Mystere B2 (TW WOI)
By ekek
This is a correct skin for WOI early Super-Mystere B2 from the beginning of it's service in the Israeli Air-Force in 1958 until around 1963. I used the original TW silver skin and added the red arrow and some other details. I would replace the plain silver skin in the original game with this, because there were no plain silver SMBD's in the IAF to my knowledge.
Drop it in the aircraft's folder and have fun!

Tu-22 Iraqi brown camo
By Muesli
After the Tu-16 request; the Tu-22 in Iraqi colours.
One of two (the other in green) I found somewhere on the net,
so note: I DID NOT CREATE THEM MYSELF!
Only thing I did was adjust the decal package to go with the
recent WOI system. In WOV/WOE you need to replace the
serials with the ones common to those games.
Hope you enjoy it, cudo's for the original creator!
PS: Not sure, but skin most probably made by Phantuam.
(as noted by jarhead1, thanks!)

Sri Lanka Air Force MiG-27M
By Muesli
A new skin for the MiG-27M made by lindr2,
an all grey one from the SLAF.
The Sri Lanka Air Force acquired about 10
of these mud movers. In their battle against Tamil Tigers
a couple were lost, and another 4 were bought from
the Ukraine. In service, all national insignia were
very small, and a serial was stencilled on the tail.
Go Fly!
Muesli
PS: thanks to lindr2 for the MiG-27M

RJAF Hunter repaint
By LloydNB
Hunter F73
Royal Jordanian Air Force
*******For WoI*******
I was never very happy about the colour of the stock Hunter skin. It looks fine for a gate guardian that has sat outside in all-weathers for 20 years, but not for a Hunter on active service during the 1960s. This skin is more like the Armourdave skin with a few added decals to make it more representative of a RJAF Hunter in 1967.

MiG-21F13/Tip74 Indian Air Force 28 Sqn "Supersonics" Upgrade II
By Cat
MiG-21-F13/Tip 74 skin for the "First Supersonics," no. 28 Sqn.
of the Indian Air Force. This time I got it right-this one has the fuselage roundels AND I remembered
to put in the folder with the decals!!
I shamelessly hijacked the default SovietSilver skin from the Mirage Factory's
MiG-21F13.
I also hijacked Ghostrider883's Type-74 Indian MiG decal set.
I liked the underwing numbers!
All credit goes to Mirage Factory for the initial MiG-21F13.
Credit goes to Howling1 for the original Indian MiGs pack that is the inspiration
for this, and any of the decals I used that were his.
Credit goes to Ghostrider 883 for the decals.
All I did was edit the decals.ini over about two days-it took forever to figure
out what went where and why.
You need Mirage Factory's awe-inspiring MiG-21F13.
Drop this into your MiG-21F13 folder. Open your MiG-21F13.ini and add this:
[TextureSetXXX]
Name=No. 28 Sqdn "Supersonics"
Nation=India
Squadron=
Specular=0.25
Glossiness=0.150000
Reflection=0.050000
I hope to see the Mirage Factory take on the MiG-21PF and PFM!

Hunter F.4/6, KLu in Papua New Guinea
By Muesli
Hello aviator!
this is a Dutch paintjob for the mighty Hunter, as it
served in Papua New Guinea. Hence the colourful tail!
Aircraft N-110, N-111 and N-112 are represented.
The N-1xx series was actually an F.4 series Hunter fitted with the dogtooth wing of the F.6.
The 2xx series were full F.6 models.
NOTE: ONLY for Armourdave's Hunter F.6 !!!!!!!!!!!!
Enjoy, have a safe flight!
Muesli
PS:
Many thanks to Armourdave for making the Hunter F.6 for SF.Thanks
also to Sundowner for making the skin for the Hunter.
