    1. This aircraft depicts "Miss Velma", a P-51D Mustang, S/N 44-14561, of the 343rd FS, 55th, flown by Capt. Frank Birtciel. Special thanx to Wolf257 for creating this aircraft and to Crab02 and USAFMTL (and to Scrapper) for their help with the making of this skin.

      Hope you enjoy this...
      Regards, Pappy

    4. F4-S VMFA-232 1987.

Made for the F-4S by Crab_02.
To use it with the stock F-4J rename the .bmp files (F-4S_1 = F-4J_1 ...)

All files are modified stock WOV files except "F-4S_6" which is part of the F-4S skin by Sundowner used as a template.

To have the slimers on only when the lights are on remove the ";" from the [slimers] lines of the F-4S_DATA file.

    5. F-82G Twin Mustang, 4th AWS Skin and Ini Update Pak for SF, WoV & WoE

This little package will update Pasko's Twin Mustang and bring it to a more up-to-date level. I've "peaked and tweeked" the data, avionics, loadout, weapons (you'll be using the weapons editor to update the radar pod). I've also created new decals; serial numbers, buzz numbers, and nose arts --several of which are BRAND new, never before seen- and some, obviously reused from other projects. You all know how I JUST hate to waste good decals.... The original skin bmps are needed, excepting the 'body.bmp', but I've included them all anyway, as I've made a few changes to them. You have serial and buzz numbers for 24 aircraft, including a new 'stripe' decal for the Squadron/Flight leader. Hence the repainted 'body.bmp'.

The skin folder included is designed to replace the "USAF Black" folder in it's entirety; full instructions on how to backup the original are in the "To Install" section below. I've included all the skin bmps (all credit goes to Gramps for them), simply to make it easier for you to install this package. It 'represents' aircraft from the 4th All Weather Squadron, as based in Japan and Korea during the early days of the Korean War. I say represents, as there may be some inaccuricies in some of the nose arts (!!!duh!!!), and serial numbers. The serial and buzz numbers ARE accurate, in that they ARE real ones used on F-82Gs, but I'm just not sure which actual unit used them.

Landing lights have been added, as well as seats for pilot/radar operator to sit on. It uses the stock "F-100seat", and should be available in every version of the game. I've also included my damage tgas, for that shot up look...

=You MUST have the Bunyap Weapons Pak to have the WW2/Post-War weapons!!! I've not included any of the weapons needed for this aircraft, so you'll need to have the F-82 installed FIRST before installing this Update Pak.=

IMPORTANT: This aircraft is designed to be used in SF/WoV/WoE -ONLY-, as WoI has almost complety trashed the WW2-ish/propeller plane flight models. If you attempt to use this in WoI, you do so at your own risk.

So, you know the drill -- READ the enclosed readme, it's got all the necessary instructions to install this update.

    6. Illuminated Tracer Smoke Emitter

      by: Fubar512

Tested on every ThirdWire sim up to (and including), Wings over Israel with patch 1.

To install: Simply drop the TracerSmokeEmitter.ini file into your ThirdWire Sim's effects folder

To uninstall: Delete the TracerSmokeEmitter.ini, and the sim will revert to using its original tracer smoke emitter.

      Notes:

To adjust the distance at which the tracer illuminates objects, adjust the following value

      [EmitterType001]
      LightRange=100.0<---ADJUST

It's in meters, I've found that a value of 100.0 meters seemed to be the best compromise in terms of realism and visibility.

Also, you'll notice that I've modified the smoke emitter itself. Tracers now leave undulating smoke rings, or "snakes" (as they're referred to by those who've been on the receiving end).

    7. Here's the Yak-28P Firebar. I haven't the foggiest idea who made this, all I know is it wasn't me. But I believe this is the one some of you have been looking for. If anyone knows who the author is please notify me so I can write up a credit file and add it to my archive.

    8. This is Major Lee's America Northwest Terrain mod, slightly edited. I have included my SAM site mod to it, and fixed the sticky runway problem at Elk airfield. I'm posting this at CombatAce because Major Lee's site is down and have been receiving a lot of requests from people to provide it. I've set the zip file up so installation should be a very simple process. This mod was originally done for Strike Fighters, but will work with the WOV, WOE and WOI cat file as well. I've set this up to be a new terrain, seperate from Lee's other versions, so you can have all of them in your terrain folder at once. This is Major Lee's work, please don't credit me with any of it.

You might have issues with the terrain too, especially if you select Inclement weather option...

This is a map meant that is meant to be somewhere fun to fly. It is also meant to be useful for prosepective modders to learn to write INIs and place objects.

If you develop an interesting INI for this map, please send it to me and I will post it at the Aerodrome for all to enjoy.

Please do not post this set at other websites.

      Enjoy, Major Lee.
