SF2 F-86F Sabre, 461st FDS, USAFE Skin Pack       11/27/2024
-For SF2, Any and All (Full Merged Recommended)
This is a NEW (well, rebuilt) skin for the F-86F-40 Sabre. It is designed to be used on the SF2 F-86F-40 pack available here at CA. As this unit served in Europe (USAFE), it's recommended for a SF2:E installed Sabre.
This set represents the 461st Fighter Day Squadron in approx 1956, when they use the "Euro Camo" (dark green/dark gray uppers, PRU blue unders). This skin will replace any earlier versions, as a small glitch at the aft wing root has finally been fixed and repainted. You get 24 historically accurate decals. Meaning: those marked with a star (*) have been postively ID'd as have been used by the 461st. All the others, marked with the cross/plus sign (+), while having served in the 36th Fighter Day Wing, could not associated with a particular squadron. The skin is in jpg format, and decal randomization is TRUE. The SF2 date switch is NOT used. A new skin specific Hangar Screen is also included. As the 461st is a 'stock' squadron, the squadron displayed name is activated via my (patent pending) fake SqTail decal.
On the skin selection menu, on the Loadout Page, you'll see:
461st FDS, 36th FDW USAFE (Camo)
As is always recommended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions.

So basically, this is a skin mod imitating the F-16s that appeared in the video released by the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense not long ago.
According to the fuselage details and Local S/N, they should have once served in the Esk727 and 730 squadrons of the Royal Danish Air Force, so I copied some of their other Local S/Ns.

This skinpack brings the regular Photo Phantoms of the Idaho ANG's 190th Tactical Reconnaisance Squadron into the game. The 190th is represented in the Wraparound, European 1 and Hill Grey schemes across several years.

            A TMF Rebuilt skin pack
This skinpack brings the Photo Phantoms of the 10th Tac Recon Wing and 26th Tac Recon Wing during their operations in Germany and the UK. It covers the various specific versions and camoflage schemes from the late 1970s until the end of the types service in USAFE in 1991

                                  Hogs in Reserve: A-10A in Air Force Reserve Service, 1990s
This is a skin and decal mod to bring the A-10s of the US Air Force Reserves throughout the 1990s to SF2
It features skins for both the European 1 green skins as well as the Grey Compass Ghost scheme that the Hogs settled into as the 90s progressed.
Although considered a part time frorce, the AFRES hogs were quite busy throughout the 1990s supporting operations in the Balkans and over Northern Iraq. This mod has pinpointed the aircraft of each unit as accurately as possible within each unit
    
Note: the 706th Fighter Squadron is covered from 1996 on, not the aircraft the squadron used in Desert Storm. most of those went to the boneyard shortly after coming home as the squadron converted to F-16s for a few years.
