SF2 WW2 P-40N, 74th FS, China Pak 11/30/2013
-- Something for the WW2 PTO CBI players --
= For SF2 ONLY, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =
*Note: this pak MAY be usable in 1stGen SF/Wo* game installs. However, some features (decal randomization, jpg format -will need conversiont to bmp) will be functional. Use in 1stGens has not, and cannot be, tested by me.*
**Note x2: this mod is designed for use ONLY in a CBI-Centric WW2 mods folder**
A simple redecaling for Raven's P-40N20-CU, represents the 74th FS, 23rd FG "Flying Tigers" in late 1943-through the war's end (or, in reality, when they got replaced by Mustangs in late 44).
All markings are decals, and Decal Randomization is TRUE. There are no nose arts. Also, via the use of my (patent pending) fake SqTail decal, the squadron name display is now active on the Loadout Screen.
As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them!!
Good Hunting!!

This mod extends the in game life of the F-105 to match the real 1981 through 1984 retirements. It
features skins for the early 70's, late 70's, early 80's and a special skin featuring the noseart of the
149th TFS of the Virginia ANG. The markings are as accurate as I can find through several days of searching
the web for photos of the listed units.
- Required: You will need SF2, SF2 Europe or SF2 Vietnam for the stock F-105D_66.
- Included: Skins for 4 ANG and 3 AFRES F-105 operators. I have not included the Georgia ANG as that is
represented in the F-105G mod.
Also Included is an F-105F_66 aircraft. While the majority of F's were
used as Weasels, conversion and proficiency traning still had to take place. Every Thud fighter squadron
had at least 1 F on the books.
Data.ini's have been edited also to reflect proper service years.
- Credits: The Wrench, for his rerelease of ArmourDave's F-105F pack, as well as a few parts of TGAs that I
used from his F-100D ANG skinpack. He even answered a stupid question by yours truly.
TK, for the stock Thuds and ability to mod this game we call SF2.

This is pack of 3 skins of Baltic Countries for

Hurricane Mk1 - Belgium 1940
This skin is for Ravens' Hurricane Mk1. Not much has been changed from the original template so most of the credit for this skin must go tho him.
********************************
In an attempt to modernise their fighter force the Belgians ordered 20 Hurricanes and obtained a licence to build a further 80 of which only one (H42) was delivered to the air force.
It seems only 11 Hurricanes were serviceable at the outbreak of hostilities. These were all based at Schaffen as part of 2/I/2 Ae (No. 2 Squadron of No. 1 Group of No. 2 Air Regiment). 8 Hurricanes were lost at Schaffen to the Luftwaffe attack on 10 May 1940.

80th Fighter Group

This is a semi-historical skin of the 89th Fighter Squadron of the 80th Fighter Group for Raven's P-40N20-CU. It is semi-historical because I have used any skull I could find to create these, and some are from the 88th and 90th squadrons of the 80th FG. This doesn't make the skin totally inaccurate, because there were similarities between the skulls for all three P-40 squadrons of the group (the 459th flew P-38s).
Some skulls I've created are alterations of skulls I've found, but again this isn't totally inaccurate, because in photos found in the Philip Adair collection you'll see two P-40s sitting side by side with almost identical skulls. All the skulls here were painted by me, using decals or photos as a guide, altering the proportions where necessary to account for the fact they were on a curved surface. Some skulls don't cover the same area of the nose they did in real life, because of bending and stretching problems caused by the use of decals.
Where I could find photographic evidence of a skull/aircraft number/serial number combination, I've used it, the rest have generic serials derived from the Joe Baugher site.
I've included the following named aircraft. Some have accurate skull/number combos, if I could find complete information, some are best guesses:
Lulu Belle II
The Rough Cobb
Joe Aztec
Joanne
Butter Bean II
Miss Frances III
No matter what their flaws, I think they make a cool appearance in game. I know we don't have an updated CBI for them to operate in, but perhaps some day we will. I created them because they were one of the most unusual P-40 groups out there in a world that seemed dominated by shark mouths. I hope you enjoy them.
Simply unzip the enclosed .rar to a location on your computer and open the readme for complete installation instructions. Designed for a full five merged installation of SF2. You'll have to make your own alterations for SF1, and I cannot guarantee they'll work.
I've used Raven's wonderful template to create these. I've added my own weathering and dirt layers, so any flaws are solely my own.
I strongly recommend that you download and install Wrench's Southwest Pacific P-40N pack located here first:
http://combatace.com/files/file/14278-sf2-ww2-pto-p-40n-usaaf-swpa-skinpak/
It has some goodies in it that you'll want to have.
This skin is Freeware. It is not to be used in any Payware project, or file.

SF2 WW2 ETO RAF Catalina (PBY-5a) Skin/Ini Pak 11/11/2013
-- Something for the WW2 ETO players --
= For SF2 ONLY, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =
A new skin, and some ini updates for Veltro's Catalina. This skin is for No.210 Squadron, RAF Costal Command as seen approx late 1941. This is an ETO =ONLY= skin, so install the aircraft accordingly!!!
This skin/ini package is to be applied to the PBY-5A Reissue Pak, available at the following url:
http://combatace.com/files/file/14092-sf2-ww2-pby-5a-catalina-by-veltro2k/
You are =exceedingly= advised to back up some of the inis, and these are listed in the "To Install" section. Also, see the "Notes" section for historical comments.
All new 100% historically accurate serials numbers are included. It should ben noted, that although the serials ARE aircraft used by 210 Squadron, there was no way to match plane-in-group letter to serial. Also, as stated in the "Notes" section, these are for Catalina II/IIa/III Flying Boats.
Decal Randomizations is TRUE. ALL markings are decals, making it extra easy for other skinners to create other squadrons.
The skin itself is in jpg format. An RAF-only Catalina hangar screen is also included (making use of the skin-specific type allowed in SF2).
To fly the aircraft, select the PBY-5A from the drop-down, and choose "Royal Air Force" for the service.
Included are updated data, loadout and userlist inis. Also included are 2 version of the Mk.XII British torpedo - one a standard torp, the other an experimental "cruise missile" type, ala SF2NA (hence, the Full-5 merged requirement).
As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them before installing!!! PLEASE read the "Notes" section for the change list, and other stuff that might be interestering in general.
Good Hunting!!

These are three skins representing the 154th gruppo and 155th gruppo of the 6th Aerobrigata and the 101th gruppo of the 5th Aerobrigata.
All three squadrons received the F-84F, replacing their F-84G's.
The decals contains authentic serials most of which match the squadrons. It's not 100% historically accurate, but they look good over the Libya map.
Install:
Unzip and paste the F-84F folder (Objects/Aircraft/F-84F) in the corresponding folder in your mod folder.
The Decals go into the corresponding Decals folder.
Credits:
TW for the F-84F.
