Updated for SF 2 series by MigBuster and Spinners (July 2009)
In 1957 the Royal Rhodesian Air Force ordered 15 B.2s and three T.4s. These were delivered two years later. These were said to have seen action in several regional wars in the area. The version here represents the RRAF from 1971 to 1980. (Rhodesia is now called Zimbabwe)
In 1961 three ex-RAF Canberras were purchased by Germany for trials and experimental use flying with Erprobungstelle 61 - these were delived in 1966.

Updated for the SF2 series by MigBuster and Spinners (July 2009)
The RAF's first bomber, the Canberra, had a career spanning over 51 years on the front lines. Chief designer W. Petter had just joined the design team at English Electric when work began on the Canberra. He changed the swept wings of the original design to a more unconventional design with the engines part way out on, and embedded in, the wing. The end sections of the wings were broad and square, and two powerful Rolls-Royce Avon engines completed the design. The crew of two sat side-by-side in a pressurized cabin. With good fuel economy, and excellent maneuverability at all altitudes, the EE.A1 was an instant success.
The prototype was first flown on May 13, 1949, and was problem-free. The first four prototypes were designated the Canberra B.MK 1, and were intended for use with a radar-assisted bomb aiming system. A delay in this system led to the production of a day bomber prototype, the Canberra B.MK 2, and the first operational aircraft were delivered on May 25, 1951.
Around 410 B.mk2s were built for the RAF - some saw action in the 1956 Suez crisis.

B-57C Pakistan Air Force
By MigBuster
Canberra B-57C for the "Strike Fighters 2" Series
by Ahmed Junaid Raza
Pakistan was the only real foreign user of the B-57, with 24 B-57Bs and two B-57Cs passed on in 1959 under the US Military Assistance Program. From 1963, they were fitted with the RB-1A "Georgia Peach" all-weather bombing system, giving these machines a longer nose. Some of the Pakistani B-57Bs were also modified to allow them to carry four external tanks, permitting them to conduct strikes deep inside India.
Pakistani B-57Bs performed strikes during the 1965 Indo-Pakistani War, flying 167 sorties, with three lost in combat, but as mentioned destroying three IAF Canberras on the ground. They also saw combat in the brief 1971 Indo-Pakistan War, with reports of four or five lost in combat. The Pakistani B-57s remained in service well into the 1980s, being the last of the breed flying in military colors.

Canberra B-57G for "Strike Fighters 2: Vietnam"
by Ahmed Junaid Raza
New Avionics and TV by MiGBuster
USAF2 Tropic Moon skin by MiGBuster
READ the instructions - includes how to use the TV/FLIR etc
16 B-57Bs were converted to B-57G standard and used in Vietnam from 1970 to 1972
flying from Tailand for the Tropic Moon III project, and was a pioneer in laser
guided technology. The B-57G had built in sensors such as a low light TV system,
FLIR, and a laser giudance system. This enabled it to carry 4 x 500lb Laser guided
bombs and self designate targets for them. The 20mm wing cannons were deleted due
to the weight of the LGBs. 4 bombs were also carried in the bomb bay (unconfirmed).
Its mission was to hunt trucks over the notorious Ho Chi Minh Trail.

RB-57A Canberra

Martin RB-57A Canberra for the "Strike Fighters 2" Series
by Ahmed Junaid Raza
B.2 Cockpit with bombardier view by Daniel "Kessselbrut" Himmel
Original skin and ini work by pappychksix
Updated for SF2 by MiGBuster (July 2009)
The USAF ordered English Electric Canberras as a need to fill a mission gap - however the order could not be fulfilled in the UK so Martin was able to license build Canberras under the B-57 designation.
The B-57A looks similar to the Canberra B mk2 however there were actually many differences - not least the the Wright J65 engines. Due to the bubble canopy, targetting the guns was found to be very difficult, and so the canopy and nose were totally redesigned into what became the B-57B.
The RB-57A was the first real production model of the B-57 with around 67 being built for a photo recon role. They served from 1954 and were withdrawn in the early 1970s. 24 RB-57As were also converted to EB-57As.

SF2 updates, and other changes MiGBuster (July 2009)
The Grumman Tiger was procured in the late 1950s as a hedge against any failure or delay in the F-8 Crusader program. When the Crusader proved a great success, the Tiger became redundant and was quickly phased out of service. It was an agile aircraft and considered to be easy to fly, a factor which led to its adoption by the Blue Angels.

SF2 Republic F-105F/EF-105F Thunderchief Pak by ArmorDave
By Wrench
SF2 Republic F-105F/EF-105F Thunderchief Pak by ArmorDave
= For SF2, Full-4/5 Merged (Full-5 Reccomended/Preferred) =
*Note: the destroyed model referenced herein 'looks' for the stock destroyed F-105D lod. So, at
the very least you MUST have either SF2E, or SF2V to gain access to said destroyed model. Hence the Full 4/5 Merged reccomendation*
Some major upgrades to ArmorDave F-105F Thunderchiefs, bring them more in line with SF2 at the
Full-5 Merged/Latest Patch level, as of July 2012.
This mod is desinged to REPLACE any eariler SF2 update/upgrade versions of AD's aircraft that
may be availalbe.
The package contains 2 complete aircraft:
F-105F (standard NM finish)
EF-105F Wild Weasel II (SEA camo)
Skins remain in bmp format (as they're not excpetionally large in size), and Decal
Randomization is TRUE. Damage textures are the older tga versions.
Both data inis have all new FM parameters, loadouts have been 'adjusted' for Game usage (and
may not reflect Real World situations, but =WILL= reflect Game World situations). New engine
sound, and some other small tweeks. New SF2-style Hangar screens are included.
No weapons are included, other than the drop tanks, as I've referenced all stock 3W items.
See the "Notes" section for more info on the changes.
When 'in game', you'll see on the Aircraft Selection Drop-Down Menu
F-105F Thunderchief (AD)
EF-105F Thunderchief
Although the F-105F as used in the Wild Weasel configuraion never actually "officially"
recieved the "EF" moniker, I've done so here to diferentiate it from the standard or garden
variety F model.
As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please -
READ- them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too for futher explinations, clarifactions,
illuminations and so forth. And notes about any SF2V campaign that may use this aircraft; some
slight editing of the campaign ini may be necessary due to the 'name change'.
A full listing of credits, as always, is below the Install Instructions.

SF2 WW2 Focke Wulf FW-190F Jabo Pak

SF2 WW2 Focke Wulf FW-190F Jabo Pak
-- Something for the WW2 ETO players --
= For SF2, Full-4/5 Merged ( Full-5 Reccomended/Preferred) =
*There is a possibility that this mod may work in SF/Wo* 1stGen game installs. However due to the excessive modifications made to fit into the SF2 environment, not all features will be avaliable.*
*Note X2: this mod is designed for use =ONLY= in the ETO envrionment.*
Mods, rebuilds, reskining/redecaling for Wolf's FW-190. This is the next of a series of FW-190 upgrades, that will cover those models (while still based off Wolf's original LOD), that were/are available from the 1stGen SF/Wo* mods previously released. With required upgrades for SF2.
This mod is designed to REPLACE any 1stGen variant you may have in your WW2 ETO/MTO intalls. It is reccomended you delete the aircraft and decals folders of the originals, as to NOT cause any conflicts with THIS mod.
This package contains 2 variants of the FW-190F as deployed in Western/Southern Europe, and North Africa/Med regions. Skins/Decals in this pak are:
9/SG4 (Western Europe, crica 1944)
I-SG4 (MTO desert camo, as based on Sardinia)
*Please note, you should =NOT= mix/match the ETO and MTO skins in an ETO only install (or MTO only install). See 'Special Install Notes' for further instructions*
All Skins are in jpg format, and decal randomization is set to TRUE.
A (semi) compliant SF2 FM was cobbled together from various sources. As always, while it works quite well, further fine tuning is required by Experten.
Sounds, pilot figures and weapons are included, as well a new SF2 version of my "box art" Hangar and/or Loading screens.
As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them!!! Also, the "Notes" section for other important stuff of interest. When discoverable, all original readmes are included for historical purposes.
*Due to the age of the physical model (LOD), this mod is being released "as is"; PLEASE see the Notes section for more info*

SF2 WW2 Fi-156 Storch Tweeks Pak

= For SF2, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =
*There is a distinct possibility that this mod will work in SF/Wo* 1stGen game installs at the 08 Patch Level. However, due to some of the modifications made to fit them into the SF2 environment (read: cockpit tweeks, data ini tweek, destroyed model), all the features will =NOT= be working as designed.*
Some modificationa, tweeks, reskins and so forth for Raven's very cool little Stroch, create an SF2-ish version. (although it needed very little work!!). As stated above it will probably work in SF/Wo* game install at the 08 Patch level. As the cockpit uses the "open cockpit" statement, it may not work in 06 levels. I don't remember if that statement is active in those earlier versions.
Basically, I've added a working cockpit, with extensive modifications to allow you 'see' the internal structure of the framing and such. The cockpit comes from my L-19/O-1E mod, which is in itself a mod of Kesselbrut Yak-3/9 cockpit. Through use of moves and Hides, along with metric conversion of the gauge readout, makes this a fun plane for sightseeing! And a new pilot figure and engine sound, too.
As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please =READ= them BEFORE installing this mod!!!. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too.
With Thanks To Raven for this bird,
Happy Landings!

SF2 WW2 ETO A-26B Invader Pak
By Wrench
SF2 WW2 ETO A-26B Invader Pak
-- Something for the WW2 ETO players --
= For SF2 ONLY, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred -PLUS Expansion Pak 1) =
*Note: there is a DISTINCT possibility that this mod, like it's KAW brother, will =NOT= work in 1stGen installs, at any patch level. Having SF2I Expansion Pak 1 is reccomended, as the loadout references the Stock 3W WW2 bombs.*
A reskining of Bobrock's SUPERB B-model Invader, recreate those as used from late 1944 through war's end in the European Theatre of Operations.
This is a complete aircraft pak, with all the trimmings. Skins/Decal sets included are for the following units:
670th BS, 416th BG, 9th AF
552nd BS, 386th BG, 9th AF
(actually, ALL Invader units in the ETO were in the 9th)
Skins are in DDS format, and decal randomization is set to TRUE. There are no nose arts, unfortunately, in this pak.
Weapons, for the most part are NOT included. The bombs used reference those from SF2I ExpPak1, but are easily swapped out for the older WepPak version by a simple loadout ini text edit. Pilot figures (the gunner) is included, and a NEW engine engine sound; now using the AvHistory R2600 x2 sound.
The Standard Animation Keystroke (shift/0) opens the canopy.
When 'in game', you'll see...
A-26B Invader (BR)
on the Aircraft Selection Drop down menu. This, also, will help to diferentiate the aircraft from any other Invader you may (or may not) have.
As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. And the "Notes" section, too. Important changes there.

*Note: This package "represents" Early model P-47s (call them Late Model C and Early Model D) Razorbacks, as when they first arrived in the England in the early part of 1943.*
This is a FULL aircraft pak, with (pretty much) all the trimmings. This pack contains the following skin/decal set:
56th FG circa Mid-to-late 1943.
The decals represent various aircraft from all 3 Squadrons of the 56th, and are combined (as per their original release in 2004). There are only 16 'numbered' decals; I didn't make any more than Major Lee had originally. Decal randomization is TRUE, and the NEW skin is in Jpg format.
Weapons (ok, drop tanks), pilot figure, and engine sound are included. A New 'box art' style Hangar, now fully SF2 compliant, is included for your viewing pleasure.
Any changes that have been introduced, are listed in the 'ChangeLog', in the "Notes" section.

JASDF:
1 Kokutai
3 Kokutai
6 Kokutai
8 Kokutai
Imperial Iranian AF
Ethiopian AF
461st FDS, 50th FBW, USAFE 1956-ish (*note: in RL, was possbily -30 or -35)

However, I DID reuse the decals (you all know how much I hate wasting good decals!!!), and actually had to remake a few. So, if you have the earlier 1stGen mod of Pasko's, you are instructed to delete the aircraft and decals folders. As stated, this replaces that one COMPLETLY!!
This is the complete aircraft, with almost everything you need! I didn't include any weapons (bombs, rockets, etc) other than the drop tank data inis, as the tanks are built into the aircraft LOD. The pilot figure you also should have already.
You'll find in this zip 3 skin and decal sets:
ETO:
336th FS 4th FG
487th FS, 352nd FG (Blue Nosed Bastards of Bodney)
PTO:
416th Fighter Group (74 aircraft!!!) -historically, the furst unit to field them, post-war.
Given the "What If.." nature of the mod, the start service date is listed as April, 1945. This makes the assumption (oh!! that word!!) the Normandy landings did NOT succeed, and more jets were appearing in Luftwaffe service. So, 8th Fighter Command rushed into service the P-80A Shooting Star to counter them.
Same can be said for the PTO version; based on Okinawa for Operation Olympic, they can reach Kyushu fairly easily.
As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them!!! Also, the "Notes" section for other important stuff of interest.
Happy Landings!

*yes, even though 6 P-80s were touring Europe and the Med in 1945, they were NOT operationaly used. Given the speculative nature of the mod, it has been placed here, in "The What If.." hangar, and not into the WW2 aircraft downloads section. Enjoy!*

SF2 WW2 Focke Wulf P.II Jet Fighter by Timmy - A What If Luft '46 Mod
-- Something for the WW2 ETO players --
= For SF2, Full-4/5 Merged ( Full-5 Reccomended/Preferred) =
*There is a possibility that this mod may work in SF/Wo* 1stGen game installs. However due to the excessive modifications made to fit into the SF2 environment, not all features will be avaliable.*
*Note X2: this mod is designed for use =ONLY= in the ETO envrionment. A seperate skin for the MTO is included, but not 'activated'
Mods, rebuilds, and general 'messing with' for Timmy's FW P.II jet fighter, to bring it more in line with SF2 useage.
This mod is designed to REPLACE any 1stGen variant you may have in your WW2 ETO intalls. It is reccomended you delete the aircraft and decals folders of the originals, as to NOT cause any conflicts with THIS mod.
This package represents P.II Project, as a production model called "Ta-173" (I couldn't think of anything else!) as deployed in Western Europe and the Med. Skins/Decals in this pak are:
JG 1 Oesau
JG 2 Richthofen
JG27 Afrika, in a overall 'tan' desert camo (stored in a seperate folder inside the main aircraft folder called 'a-MTO skin'). It is suggested that this skin ONLY be used in an MTO-centric mods folder (it would look funny in western Europe!!)
Skins are in their original bmp format, and decal randomization is set to TRUE. New damage textures are included, in DDS format.
A (semi) compliant SF2 FM was cobbled together from various sources. As always, while it works well enough, further fine tuning is required by Experten.
Sounds, pilot figures and weapons (R4M rack) are included, as well a new SF2 Hangar and/or Loading screens, in jpg format.
Mission tasking has been limited, due to the aircraft's rather short range.
As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them!!! Timmy's original readme is included for historical purposes.
Happy Hunting!

*Note: this mod has been placed in the "What If..Hangar", as opposed to the WW2 Aircraft section, as the Real Life aircraft never left the drawing boards*

Vought Corsair MK.2, RN Fleet Air Arm, by Mod Mafia/TMF
By Wrench
Vought Corsair MK.2, RN Fleet Air Arm, by Mod Mafia/TMF
= For SF2, Full-4/5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =
*Note: There is a distinct possibility that this mod =MAY= work in SF/Wo* 1stGen game installs.
However, due to the excessive modifications made to fit them into the SF2 environment. End
Users that attempt to do so, do so at their own risk. A Full 4/5 Merged install is
reccomened; at very minimum, SF2:V is required, as this aricraft references the A-1H's
destroyed model. Also, some of the SF2 only "switches" will NOT work in 1stGens.*
*Note #2: this model will REPLACE, in it's entirety, those using Wolf's as a base. You may
(well, should!) delete that mod completly; both the aircraft and decals folders. These, again,
will replace them.*
A brand "new" model that was never completed when Bpao passed away a few year back. I've been
fortunate enough to be allowed to complete his work, as a member of the Mod Mafia.
This is the Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm Corsair Mk.2 (with clipped wingtips) as seen 1943 and
later aboard RN carriers in the Atlantic, Indian and Pacific Oceans.
Skin/Decals are included are for:
1842 NAS, HMS FORMIDABLE (during the time of the TIRPIZ raids; tagged as "Home Fleet")
1830 NAS, HMS ILLUSTRIOUS (tagged as East Indes Fleet or "EIF", with SEA style markings)
Both skins are in 'standard' Fleet Air Arm 2-tone camo.
All skins are in jpg format, Decal Randomization is TRUE. A new-ish SF2 'box art' style hangar
screen was (re)created for this aircraft. Damage textures are the old tga versions.
Decals are used for all markings, and Randomization is set to TRUE.
A user list is included; operational service dates have been rounded to the closest whole
month, even though this is a "Nationalized" , no-exported Royal Navy version.
The aircraft is fully carrier capable. The canopy operates via the Standard Animation Keystorke
of Shift/0. Like the other MM/TMF Corsairs, the wingfold operates via the "airbrakes" key.
All lighting is historically accurate. WW2 weapons (ie: bombs, rockets) are NOT included. You
should have them already. The drop tank is (as there were some slight adjustments to the F4U
Early 150 gallon tank, and this WILL replace the original from the USN versions), as is the
pilot figure and engine sounds (which you may also have already!).
When 'in game', you'll see
"Corsair Mk.II FAA (TMF)"
in the aircraft selection drop-down window. This will diferentiate it from any other Mk.IIs you
may (or may not) have.
As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read
them!!!
Happy Landings!

SF2 WW2 Italian Aircraft Pak

SF2 WW2 Italian Aircraft Pak
= For SF2 (Full4/5 Merged RECCOMENDED!)
- Something for your MTO-Centric Installs -
**Note: Having SF2I Expansion Pak 1 is HIGHLY reccomended, as a few of the destroyed models referenced reach over to the stock destroyed C-47A. If you do NOT have Exp1, you will NOT have the burning wreck on the ground. You will have to locate some other destroyed model for use. Also, due to the extensive modifications to the cockpit and data ini, this mod will absolutely -NOT- work in 06 level 1stGen game installs. 08 Level 1stGens may have some issues, but this has not/cannot be tested by me.**
This pak contains a reissue of Veltro2K's WW2 Italian Air Force (Regia Aeronautica) aircraft. These are the complete aircraft, with various/sundry changes.
This pak contains:
Fiat CR.42 "Falco"
(will show in-game as "Fiat CR.42 Falco (V2K)" in game)
Fiat BR.20 "Cicogna"
Medium bomber
Piaggio P.108
Heavy Bomber (no name appears to have been given to it)
Sounds, weapons, guns are included. New SF-2 compliant Hangar and/or Loading screens were either converted or new builds for this pak. They are, for the most part the "box art" style.
The Falco has as many 1stGen skins as I could find, and they've been incorporated into this pak. Most skins remain in their bmp format, but have been slightly resized. Decal randomization is set to TRUE. User lists have NOT been created; consider these non-exported, RA use only aircraft.
See "Changes" in the Notes section for more details. When possible, the original release readmes have been included (LloydNB's Falco skins).
As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them!!! =PLEASE= read the "Notes" section for the change list, and other important notations. Also, the Legal Statement has been changed with regards to these aircraft.
For those that still have the original releases, it's advised you delete the aircraft and decals folders for them; this pak is designed to replace them in total.
**These aircraft herein are released in "AS IS" Condition. The source files have been lost, and there can and WILL be no modifications to the physical model. They 'are as they is' and you must accept them with this caveat in mind. Any and all issues/problems that cannot be solved via ini edits will exist forever, as new models are unlikely to be created**

SF2 WW2 RAF Bombers Pak

SF2 WW2 RAF Bombers Pak
= For SF2 (Full4/5 Merged RECCOMENDED! w/Expansion Pak 1)
**Note: Having SF2I Expansion Pak 1 is HIGHLY reccomended, as a few of the destroyed models referenced reach over to the stock destroyed C-47A. This pak contains a reissue of Veltro2K's RAF light, medium and heavy bombers used by the RAF during WW2. Unless otherwise notated, all are RAF Bomber Command squadrons. This (VERY LARGE!) pak contains the following aircraft/skin sets (the name in parenthesis is the actual skin folder name)...
-Handley Page Halifax
10 Squadron (Hali)
-Handley Page Hampden
49 Squadron (RAF)
-Lockheed Hudson
224 Squadron (raf1)
48 Squadron, Coastal Command (CC)
459 Squadron, RAAF (MTO -desert camo)
VBP-82, US Navy, NAS Argentia, Newfoundland (USN)
-Short Stirling
7 Squadron (Stir)
-Vickers Wellington
12 Squadron (12)
Skins remain in bmp format, decal randomization is set to TRUE. Almost all the original decals have been replaced (squadron codes, aircraft ID letters, serials on some, etc) with new builds or repurposed units from my stock of RAF codes. Almost all markings ARE decals. There are no nose arts. Damage textures are in DDS format. Weapons (the RAF bomb set and the 303 gun) are included.
All the 1stGen Hangar and Loading screens were either rebuilt to SF2-spec, or created new for this package. They are in jpg format.
The various inis make use of the 'hide component' or the 'open cockpit' statements to make sure the cockpits are where they're supposed to be. This, unfortunately, prevents their use in SF/Wo* games at the 06 patch level, as stated above. Flight modeling, for the most part, remains as originally issued.
*Note: includes any/all "tweeks paks" released after the original releases*
See "Changes" in the Notes section for more details.
As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them!!! PLEASE read the "Notes" section for the change list, and other important notations. Also, the Legal Statement has been changed with regards to these aircraft.
