The Su-9 emerged from aerodynamic studies by TsAGI, the Soviet aerodynamic center, during the Korean War, which devised several optimum aerodynamic configurations for jet fighters.
The design first flew in 1956 as the T-405 prototype.
The Su-9 was developed at the same time as the Su-7 'Fitter', and both were first seen by the West at the Tushino Aviation Day on 24 June 1956, where the Su-9 was dubbed Fitter-B.
It entered service in 1959.
Total production of the Su-9 was about 1,100 aircraft.
It is believed that at least some Su-9s were upgraded to Su-11 'Fishpot-C' form.
None were exported to any of the USSR's client states nor to the Warsaw Pact nations.
Remaining Su-9s and later Su-11s were retired during the 1970s.
Some were retained as test vehicles or converted to remote-piloted vehicles for use as unmanned aerial vehicles.
It was replaced by the upgraded Su-11 and the much-superior Su-15 'Flagon' and MiG-25 'Foxbat'.

2. Mirage 5F converted to Mirage 5P
YOU WILL NEED SF2:E AND THE MIRAGE IIIO-DLC AT LEAST TO GET THESE PLANES RUNNING!
ONE MORE ADVISE: IF YOU DON'T OWN THE MIRAGE IIIO-DLC, THE MIRAGE 3EP WILL NOT WORK! ALSO, THE SKINS INCLUDED IN THIS DLC, GOT REMOVED. THE ONLY INCLUDED SKIN IS THE GREEN ONE.

This model represents the lisence-built AH-64D as used by the Japan Ground Self Defense Force. Paint job and decals are representative of the 3rd Attack Helicopter Squadron.
I have packaged and uploaded this by request from a friend who did all the skin and decal work. Original Apache model by Dels, which you will also need for the weapons. See the readme for more details.
In December of 2011, the F-35 was officially chosen to replace Japan's aging F-4 fleet. The F-35J is scheduled to enter service in 2016. Final assembly and perhaps eventually licence production will be handled by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries.
This package includes three different high-resolution skins representing currently proposed paint schemes. Currently included squadron markings are for the 301st Fighter Squadron from Nyutabaru Air Base, one of the first units expected to receive the new aircraft.
Note 1: Several avionics modifications were (selfishly) made by me to better represent the powerful AESA radar set in the F-35. Feel free to use the original F-35 avionics.ini if you prefer.
Note 2: Some essential weapons (some from the community Ordnance Pack, others created by yours truly) are included, but be sure to download the JASDF Weapons Pack for more!

This is the updated V4.0 version of Dave & Sundowners original Tornado GR1 & GR4 series. This pack is a combination of the previous V3.0 pack by Dave & Sundowner, the 2 extra Updates I released (V3.1 and V3.2) and my unreleased V3.3 Update, which included the improvements seen above. This pack can either be used as a Standalone (if you don't have the V3.0 pack) or as an Update of your existing Tornado pack.
This has been designed to work on everything from a Stock Game (July '13 patched) to a fully Modded install with NATO Fighters V etc. The new weapons are standalone and will not affect other weapons packs, however you may see other weapons from your pack are available. Please use the ones labelled "RAF (WEAPONS NAME)" (they're all grouped together for ease of use) as these have all been designed and/or modified for this Tornado Pack specifically, even though the Weapons may seem to be identical to ones you already have.
INSTALLATION
------------
Copy and paste the 4 folders into your Mod folder (usually C:\Users\YOUR NAME\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2 Europe\) to add or update everything.
Aircraft Specific Info (in-game, not accurate to real life timeline) -

RAF TORNADO VERSIONS
---------------------
GR1_82 (1982-1989) - Carrys Unguided 1000lb Slick/Retarded Bombs, BL-755 Cluster Bombs, JP233 & ALARM.
GR1_90 (1990-1997) - The LGB years when the TIALD Laser Pod came into service which allowed it to carry 1000lb GBU-123 LGB's.
GR1DS_90 Desert Storm (1990-1991) - Year limited for Op Granby (Desert Storm) only. It can carry the same weapons fit as the GR1_90 above.
GR4_98 (1998-2005) - A complete systems overhaul of the GR1_90. Although massively upgraded from a GR1 due the RAF's lack of Hi-Tech weaponary this kept virtually the same weapons fit until 2002 when the RAF purchased their 1st truely Smart Weapons, the 1000lb Enhanced Laser/GPS Guided Paveway II and the Bunker Busting 2000lb Enhanced Laser/GPS Guided Paveway III.
GR4_06 (2006-2020) - 2006 saw the RAF finally get the advanced set of weapons they needed which included new Litening III Designation pods, 500lb Enhanced Laser/GPS Guided Paveway IV, Laser & IIR Brimstone Anti-Tank Missiles, Storm Shadow Cruise Missiles, ASRAAM and the RAPTOR recon pod. Due to their higher collateral damage risk the larger Paveway III was phased out for the the new Super Weapon the Storm Shadow, a Stealthy 500+ mile ranged Cruise Missile. This weapons update makes it the most advanced combat load currently carried by any aircraft in the world.
ROYAL SAUDI AIR FORCE VERSIONS
-------------------------------
GR1_93 RSAF (1993-2005) - The Royal Saudi Air Forces version of the standard GR1_90 with the same capabilities.
GR1_06 RSAF (2006-2020) - A modernisation program in 2006 brought their GR1_93's to a GR4-"Lite" standard (although still called GR1). It can carry IIR Brimstone (but not Laser) and Storm Shadow but none of the other advanced weapons/pods that a standard GR4 can carry.

Wright Aeronautical F4W-1 'Hurricane' for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2
This is the Hawker Hurricane as it might of appeared as the licence-built Wright F4W-1 in USN service (if that service could have overcome their fear of inline engines).
This mod uses the superb Sea Hurricane 1C 3D model by Raven who has also generously uploaded templates to enable me to create this fictional mod and to also allow others to put whatever scheme and markings they prefer on this lovely and often overshadowed British fighter aircraft.
INSTRUCTIONS
1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the F4W-1 folder into your Aircraft folder.
2. From the DECALS folder drag and drop the F4W-1 folder into your main Decals folder.
CREDITS
Thanks to Third Wire for the continuous improvement of a great little game/sim.
Massive thanks to Raven for creating the Hurricane series and templates.
And thanks to everyone in the wider Third Wire community.
