  1. F-111 Pit repaint for SU-24.

This is my attempt to repaint NormanKnight's F-111 pit to represent the Su-24's pit.

It is no way accurate as it is what it is, a repaint of an existing pit.

There are some issues, some of the translations are probably (definitely) wrong!
Any Russian speakers are welcome to offer alternative suggestions.

The artificial horizon and HSI are both of the western type not Russian, this is due to the existing model and my lack of ability to even know if it could be changed.

I would like to thank NormanKnight for creating the F-111 pit, Fastcargo for allowing me to use it.

Sony Tuckson for allowing me to use a couple of textures from the Mirage Factory's Mig 29 Pit.

ErikGen for allowing me to use some of his radar screen textures from his TU-128.

The whole Combatace community for generally helping me out in the past.

And finally TK for producing this game and allowing it to be moddable.

    Freeware use only.

    Hope you enjoy this mod.

    Mikeymead.

    A-10C Cockpit v1.0 For SF2:Series only.

From the Original A-10A Cockpit by Kesselbrut.

Includes: Changes to Hud Avionics, Smoothed Canopy Frame and Mirrors, new Instruments, Gauges and Digital Control
Sets. New Textures, and Seat added. And almost finished rear Frame for Rear View.
Two partially working MFD's with TV Screen and Map Compass. View A10CPit.JPG for Details of working instruments
and more. Uses Limited RADAR for ranging Aircraft as stand-in for LASER Ranging. SF2 engine lacks proper Laser
Ranging Air to Ground for GunsightRangeBar.

WIP Needs: Digital Clock, Proper MFD Function and DEPRESSIBLE PIPPER. will be added as SF2 Engine Progresses.
Might add a Control Stick with Pilot Hands.

    Credits to:
Kesselbrut and A-10 Team for the Original Pit.
ravenclaw_007 for helping with the ILS Cockpit.ini entries. And The A-10 ACES II Seat.
Crusader for pointing me to ravenclaw_007's Work.
Paladrian for helping me with MFD Texture display problems in 3DS Max.
    all other Changes by Spectre8750.

    NOTES:
The ILS "MARKER BEACON" Light works in that it is set for 5degrees +-. I noticed that it may blinc while rolling,
Ignore that. The Marker Beacon light comes on if you are 5 deg or more off course. You can use the Left MFD Map for
direction to Waypoints and even final approach. The Gear "STEERING ENGAGED" Light is set to go off at 80 Knots.
The Gun Rounds indicator is located center bottom third of the left MFD. The Countermeasures Set Control (CMSC)
Always indicates "Active" and Changes to "LAUNCH" when it detects a Radar Guided Missile launch. Be Carefull, not
all Launches are detected. When the Jammer is active it will indicate "OPR" for operative. The Threats will be
indicated by "SRCH" "AIR" "GRND" "AAA" "SAM" just right of "OPR".

It is a combat veteran and fought air to air combat against Israeli Meteors, Dassault Ouragans, Mystere IVAs and later against Pakistani F-86 Sabres according to sources.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It has gages moved, and BMP gages and bitmaps added from multiple Vampire color cockpit photos and the DH Vampire cockpit manual.

By 11:00hrs also four Vampires strafed the Israeli column near al-Thamed, causing even more damage. They were followed by more Vampires and also Meteors of the 5 Sqn EAF, all of which were escorted by the MiG-15 and hit the Israelis very hard.

    INDO-PAKASTANI War

On September 1, 1965, during the Indo-Pakistani War, IAF Vampires saw action for the first time with India. No. 45 Squadron responded to a request for strikes against a counter-attack by the Pakistani Army (Operation Grand Slam) and four Vampire Mk 52 fighter-bombers were successful in slowing the Pakistani advance.

However, the Vampires encountered two Pakistan Air Force (PAF) F-86 Sabres, armed with air to air missiles; in the ensuing dogfight, the outdated Vampires were outclassed. One was shot down by ground fire and another three were shot down by Sabres.[17] The Vampires were withdrawn from front line service after these losses.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    FIGHTING IN THE VAMPIRE:

The Vampire had a lower wing loading than the Meteor and therefore should be able to out turn the Meteor in a turning fight all other things being equal. The Meteor being much faster, faster climbing and more powerful will dominate a vertical fight.

    1. Keep fast against enemy prop fighters...you are faster than them, but you lose energy fast and can't regain it easily.

    2. Try to out turn enemy jets...you usually have a lower wingloading. The enemy Meteor is much more powerful than you, much faster than you, has a much higher climb rate then you and he can dominate a vertical fight.

The Vampire reportedly had beautiful handling qualities but was extremely underpowered.

  6. Yak-23 Flora cockpit

For SF2 series with Expansion Pack 2!

EXPANSION PACK 2 required for Yak-23, you won't find this little day-only, stay-away-from-clouds fighter in any other release than Exp2!
(However you can use this pit in other planes like Yak-15/Yak-17 just fine)

Extract to your Aircraft folder, overwrite. Supplied data includes just modification to guns, making them two individual groups.

  7. These are only E and F specific cockpits that are on the Block II airframes:

    Key notes when installing:

    - Delete your existing Cockpit and Avionics files. However, if you have some custom mods you don't have to install the AVIONICS file as it's just to make sure an Avionics file is present
    - When selecting Air To Air Mode the RWR appears in the middle, just below the HUD. Selecting the NAV or "caged" mode will bring the keypad back.

    Changes:
    - new shape lower right panel with other adequate elements
    - "killed" the clock on the lower panel
    - removed backup RWR completely
    - all DDI's are now color screens
    - center screen has two modes, NAV which is basically the same as the early version and EW using simplified DDI function for which I'm sure newer versions can, screen is monochrome btw.

  8. Yakovlev Yak-28B cockpit.

    V0.9 18.02.2015

Cockpit for Yak-28B Brewer soviet jet bomber. Comes with "Stary's patented bombsight" for quite accurate high altitude level bombing. Bombsight activated with switching to air-to-ground gunsight mode or by simply selecting A2G ordnance.

Suitable for Yak-28, Yak-28B and several other subtypes of Brewer family aside from P/PM and R/RR/PP types (without getting into too much detail).

    To install:
Best would be to backup your existing Yak-28B ini files and cockpit folder, right?
Extract to your Yak-28B folder, overwrite when asked. If you want to substitute this for other planes you should know what to do as the procedure is straightforward.

Freeware license apply, not to be used as part of payware of any sort. Raw max 3D model available for those willing to work on this as basis for other mods/adjustments.
Feel free to include in your own reuploads, retextures, tweaks etc without asking.

    version 0.5 working beta
    07.12.2010

This is simple repaint of stock Hunter F.1 cockpit to make it stand-in for early soviet jets.
Working beta, not historically accurate at the moment at all, bares minimal resemblance with Mig-9, Mig-13, Yak-15 or Yak-23 cockpits.
Currently gauges are still in english (I know very, very little russian, curses mostly...) and still calibrated to knots/feet/gallon units.
No gauges or parts movement tricks at the moment, just basic repaint.

The 3D F-100D base cockpit is NOT included! If you have any previous merged SFP2 installs,
you can just add the contents of this download to the Super Mystere folder and it should work.

If you have only the SFP2 Israel alone, then you need to extract the F-100 contents and add it to the

    minutes work anyway.

    HISTORY:

The Dassault SMB2 Super Mystere was the
basic equivalent of the North American F-100
Super Sabre except smaller and much less powerful. It saw much air-air combat and gave
    stellar value to Israel.

Over Saykal, the Israeli Super Mysteres
encountered a pair of Syrian MiG-21s and
although outclassed by the MiGs, shot both of
    them down.

By the end of the first day of 1967 Six Days War
hositilities, Super Mysteres had destroyed 5
    aircraft in the air.

In 1975, Israel sold 12 complete airframes and 6
sets of spares to Honduras. The aircraft were
involved in numerous border skirmishes with
Nicaragua and were finally withdrawn from
    service in 1996.

    ====================================
Tactics: The Super Mystere has almost the same
    thrust/weight t/w ratio as the F-100. It has a
noticeably lower wing loading than the F-100 so
can out turn it all other things being equal. It can't
climb as fast as the F-100-(Mike Spick, Illustrated
Directory of Fighters). Against the Mig-19 and
Mig-21 and MiG 23, try to out turn them.
Against the Vampire, Meteor, Mig-15, Mig-17 try
to do vertical yo yos while turning.

  15. Mirage Factory MiG-29 Cockpit Detailing

This mod will bring the MF MiG-29 a better look in the cockpit. The package includes reprocessed texture for all instruments, radar screen and wall.

    Installation
    ------------
    1. In case you may regret, back up your cockpit folder and avionics.ini in your MiG-29 directory
    2. Drop the cockpit folder to your MiG-29 directory, cover the files and folders as asked.
    3. The wall texture in the cockpit directory is 4x enlarged with bump texture and color tweak (which require unlimited setting in the cockpit texture setting to enjoy), if you are unhappy with the performance or look, replace with the file included in the "optional wall texture", that will give you flat walls closer to the real-world one although not as eye-candy.
    4. You might find the radar looks too bright and also want to replace with the radar texture in the "optional radar" folder, by dropping all 3 files and 1 folder to your cockpit folder. And then change the color of your radar character in your xxxx_avionics.ini

    find below section

    [RadarFont]

    Change the line
    Color= xxxxxx
    to
    Color=0.45,94,0.49,1.0

    then save and exit
