  1. F-8 DATA & LOADOUT update

    This is a total rework of loadout and data.ini of ALL F-8s.
     
    These include all TMF, TW and YAP models. You will find them inside three separate folders.
     
    I tried to be as realistic as possible regarding performance figures, empty weights etc. Please give me feedback about the results, what do you think about.

    REQUESTS:
     
    - More hi-rez skins for all three families, like these in the screenshots. As you can see, in both TW and TMF the hi-rez are a real improvement. Skins for the RF-8G, especially late low-viz, will be vert much appreciated.
     
    - A proper cockpit as both TMF and TW look really dated now.
     
    - Proper ejection seats (better than before, but still not 100% accurate)

    This package contains an update kit for GMG's German Air Force Canadair Sabre Mk.6 (Late) aircraft pack available at the following URL:

    If you don't have it already, you'll need that mod first. It's one I heartly reccomend! Ravenclaw and the GMG did an OUTSTANDING job on this aircraft!!!
     
    Like many (ok, most) of the other Sabres recently updated, the following items have been changed, added to,
    adjusted and whatevered:
     
    updated hit boxes/collision points
    added destroyed model callout
    new FM (ala KAW Sabres)
    activated squadron name display via fake "SqTail" decal
    decal numbers now randomized
    "brightened" gunsight (for us old folks!)
    added avionics statements, and avionics ini for radar-ranging gunsight
    Removed "Exported=TRUE", nationalizing to ONLY West Germany
    Added SF2 "short name" display
    Changed Start Year so camo skins only are used.
     
    These changes will bring this superb mod up to the latest standards, FM wise. Nothing else has been changed -- nothing else really needed to be!! See "Notes" for things I did =NOT= do.
     
    As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. Please READ them! Also, the "Notes" section for a more detailed change/correction list.

    SF2 Westland Wyvern S.4 Tweeks Pak 4/4/2015
     
    = For SF2, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =
     
    A small modification/Tweeks pack for Skippybings' Westland Wyvern S.4 Royal Navy turboprop attack aircraft.
    This is =NOT= the full aircraft, nor does it contain the beautiful skin/decals pack by paulopanz (which is a HIGHLY reccomended add-on!). This is just a set of inis, and new Hangar & Loading screens.
     
    The inis contain minor tweeks and a new anti-ship loadout (torpedo); other loadouts have been adjusted for more striking power and/or extended range and loiter time. Most other stuff remains "as issued". See "Notes" for full change list.
     
    Obviously, you MUST have the Wyvern aircraft in you mods folder before installing this tweeks pack. <g>
     
    As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them =BEFORE= installing (but after unzipping, of course). Also, give the "Notes" section a read too, as it contains the Change Log.

    = For SF2 (Full4/5 Merged RECCOMENDED!)
    *This mod will =NOT= work in SF/Wo* 1stGen game installs. It was built for SF2 ONLY!!.*
     
    Replacement data ini for the Cocas Aircraft Factory P-47D Razorback. The aircraft is available here:

    The full package is also getting the update. So, for that that have downloaded it already, use THIS data in.
    For that that haven't downloaded the aircraft yet, it will be included in the updated version (and what's stopping you from getting it???)
    All follow on Razorback mods (PTO, MTO, and maybe CBI) will incorporate this data ini.
     
    This FM has been slightly refined, and these fixes should (almost) stop the "tail stall" and end-to-end flip. Again, while not perfect, this is a bit better. Further refinements by Experts are most heartly requested!! (Roll rates may still be a little low, as well)
     
    As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them!!! And, apologies for the inconvience!

  7. HUD modification for SF2

    Hi!!! I felt tired of the "HUD" information, so I modified the HUDDATA.ini, and I'm sharing it with you guys!
     
    The attached photos speak for themselves. I only left the enemy red box, the red cone that marks it's direction, and the yellow diamond for radar acquisition. If you want, you can modify it to suit your needs. Just unzip, and move it to your mods folder, to the Flight directory. If you don't have one, create it. Doubts? Just PM!!!I hope you like it!!!

    This mod will give you bunch of different camera angles. The positions are for the F-14 Tomcat, so they might seem off when you fly other aircraft. But most of the time this shouldn't bother you. You can edit the positions in the Viewlist.ini if you wish.
     
    Mod bases external cam. FOV entries from Stary & Silverbolt's viewlist mods.
     
    So go out and take some cool screeshots!
     
     
    INSTALLATION

    1. ADD THESE LINES to your controller.ini (whichever the name may be, the file is in your "Controls" folder)

    2. Copy the included VIEWLIST.INI to your FLIGHT folder.
     
     
    FEATURES (Key assignments)
    ------------------------------------------------------------
     
    Keys ALT+(1 to 7) when pressed with switch to various camera angles on your aircraft. These angles are controllable via the mouse and pressing them continuesly will cycle between all aircraft. When pressed with CTRL+(1 to 7) will switch to previous aircraft.
     
    Key ALT+8 will cycle through all Weapons, friendly and enemy that are in the air. All SAMS, bombs, missiles..
     
    The F5 key is modified based on Stary's Viewlist (FOV settings)
    As a plus you can cycles between all aircraft.
     
    The SHIFT+F5 is the default Check Six View. As a plus you can yaw/pitch using the mouse.
     
    F9 key will cycle through all missiles fired by you.
     
    Take note that all these key are free to use in a stock controller.ini. If you have a modified one that merge with caution.
     
     
    NOTES
    ----------------------------
    On my game, sometimes after I switch from the Weapon Views back to the external view, the sounds of the engine are missing. I have to do a PAUSE/UNPAUSE to cure it. Don't know why this happens...

    This file contains names for the entire class for the Thirdwire Kitty Hawk and Nimitz aircraft carriers.
     
    Installation
     
    1. Drop CVA-63_Names into the CVA-63 folder in your Thirdwire/Strike Fighters 2/Objects/Groundobjects folder. Put CVN-68_Names into the CVN-68 folder.
     
    2. Enjoy how you will.
     
     
     
    Known issues
     
    1. CV-67 is not a member of the Kitty Hawk-class. However, there is no existing model for the JFK, nor is there going to be one in the foreseeable future. However, she is a historically significant vessel and was closely based on the Kitty Hawk carriers, so I have chosen to place her with them.

    I found the cockpit & runway lighting switched on too late for my liking & that once the cockpit lighting was finally turned on I still couldn’t read the gauges!
     
     
    What dose this mod do?
    ----------------
     
    (1). Adds brighter Cockpit Lights to all stock player flyable aircraft for SF2 I.
     
    (2). Turns on Cockpit lights earlier in the evening for all stock player flyable aircraft for SF2 I.
     
    (3). Turns on all Runway Lights earlier in the evening in the Stock SF2 I IsraelME Terrain.
     
    Installation:
    -------------
     
     
    Place the contents of the “StrikeFighters2 Israel” folder found in this download in to your SF2 Israel Saved Game folder & overwrite when asked.
     
    Note:
     
    This will replace any modified stock Aircraft_COCKPIT.Ini you might be using!!!
    This will also replace any modified stock IsraelME DESERT_AIRFIELD.Ini you might be using!!!
     
     
    The Runway & cockpit lighting is controlled by the sunlight level in the game.
    They will now turn on just before sunset on a clear day & even earlier on an overcast or Inclement day as the light level will be lower due to cloud cover.

    Well here is my first mod for the SF2 series.
    I hope you find it useful.
     
    What dose it do?
    ----------------
     
    (1). Adds canopy animation to all stock player flyable aircraft for SF2 I.
     
    (2). Adds landing lights to all stock player flyable aircraft for SF2 I.
     
    Installation:
    -------------
     
    Place the contents of the “StrikeFighters2 Israel” folder found in this download in to your SF2 Israel Saved Game folder & overwrite when asked.
     
    Note:
    This will replace any modified stock Aircraft_DATA.Ini you might be using!!!
     
     
    Open & close the canopy: Animation 1 (Shift+1)
     
    Landing lights: work in conjunction with your navigation lights (Ctrl+L)
     
    Known issues:
    -------------
     
    It seems that on the F-16 Nets, the landing light will not always be placed directly in the centre of the lens of the 3d model.
    It may appear lower or higher depending on the loading placed on the main landing gear as the as it compresses or releases.

  15. Smaller tracer dots

    Smaller tracer dots for SF1/2
     
    This mod will downscale the size of bullets to 1/4 of the original, making a more authentic and "Jane's series" feel.
     
     
    Installation
    ------------
    place under /objects/ folder
     
     
    Note
    ------
    Please note a tracer is released between every 5 bullets by defualt. If you want to see more tracer, open the DATA.ini file of an aircraft or ground object, find the {internalgun} or [gun] section, then type.
     
    TracerLoading=2
     
    This will allow to release a tracer every 2 bullets, giving you a much denser feel.
