DH-2's of No.24 Squadron 1916
By quack74
This download contains a new skin for the DH-2 created by John 'Aladar' Dawson for First Eagles.
I would like to thank John 'Aladar' Dawson for this great model. And I would like to thank Southside Bucky for sharing
his expansive knowledge of the DH-2 colors and markings.
This new skin for the DH-2 is that of No.24 Squadron from early 1916 to early 1917.
Colors:
"A" Flight - Red wheel discs with red and white striped outer wing struts.
"B" Flight - Black wheel discs with black and white striped outer wing struts.
"C" Flight - Blue Wheel discs with blue and white striped outer wing struts.
The flight leader to all three flights will have a solid color on one of the outer struts.
ex. The first aircraft in "A" Flight will have a solid red outer strut on the left side and right side.
while the other strut remains striped.
This is all done with decals to create the appearance of multiple skins of No.24 Sqn DH-2's
There is only one main skin included.
Enjoy, quack74
I updated the skin in this package. Now the underside of the fuselage has a white sawtooth pattern rather than the tan "dope" color

Nieuport.24bis Camo skin

This is a camouflage version of the Nieuport.24bis. It's the same camo pattern as the Nieport.24, only the horizontal stabilizers and rudder differ. And only a single .303 Vickers machine gun.

108 FE1 and/or FE2 FMs March 2010
By peter01
Update 31st march: If you are using these FMs for FE2, the gun loadouts won't work. I didn't realize that FE2 does some things differently to FE1, and didn't include a new folder that Fe2 creates. To fix, just download and install the updated game files here REALLY FIXED FE2 Game Files and 4 FE2 FMs 2010 .
***********************************************************
108 new FMs for the October or November 2008 patch of FE1 or for the FE2 game. Too many to list! Just about every plane model, and then some, with conversions.
These are solely flight model and game files. You need to install the 3-D plane models first to use the FMs. The FMs are designed for Hard FM mode ONLY. AI Skill Level and Weapons should also be set to Hard. Other gameplay options can be set to whatever you wish.
You must install the game files included for everything to work. There are a seperate set of game files for FE1 and FE2.
A Readme is included, with the following sections:
1) General
2) Folders and Files in the Pack
- The game files are in the "ESSENTIAL FE1 Game Files" and "ESSENTIAL FE2 Game Files" folders
- The "FE1 and FE2 FMs" folder contains all the FMs
- Lastly, the "FE Optional Game Files" folder contains optional files for both FE1 and FE2
3) Installation
4) Known Issues
5) Worth Knowing
6) Experiencing Problems?
7) Acknowledgements and Caveats
Have fun.

N.24 & N.27 Camouflage skins
By quack74
This download contains two Nieuport skins.
1. Nieuport 24 - Camouflage fuselage and wings with a bare metal nose section and cowl.
2. Nieuport 27 - Camouflage fuselage including nose, cowl and struts.
You can select different national markings as well as squadron markings directly from the game
loadout menu. I only created serial numbers for the rudder. These are in the "D" folder inside of
the skin folders.
Feel free to rename the folders to what ever you like.
Drop each "Camo" skin folder in it's corresponding aircraft folder:
Thanks to EmlD for the Nieuport models and allowing us to create new skins for them.
The skins and skins only were done by quack74.

Airfields for Bombers
By quack74
First off this is for First Eagles Gold. But I'm sure it will work with FE2.
I figured a simple way to use heavy bombers that takeoff from airfields without changing the spacing for fighters.
What I did was copy a terrain folder (for this example I'll use the Flanders terrain) and renamed it "Flanders_Bombers".
And then changed the spacing in the "WWI_AIRFIELDS1 .ini" in the new terrain folder.
Now I can select the new "Flanders_Bombers" in the terrain menu and takeoff with any of the heavy bombers. All the missions are the same and all the same aircraft will appear.
There is a bit more to do. It's all in the Readme file inside. The new "WWI_AIRFIELDS1.ini" is also included.
A link is also included in the readme for the heavy bombers if you dont already have them.
Hope you like this. It's great for bombing missions.

Jasta 19 w random skins for AI and personal use
By quack74
--- For First Eagles Gold ---
Fokker Dr.1's of Jasta 19.
This download is of the Jasta 19 Fokker Dr.1's with random personal markings.
I created a decal pack to help create some of the Jasta 19 ace's aircraft. They will appear at random.
Here is a list of who's planes you will encounter or use.
1. Ltn. Walter Gottsch - Staffelfuhrer - White upper wing with white swastika on fuselage.
2. Ltn. Hans Pippart - Yellow wings and black fuselage with yellow dots.
3. Ltn. Hans Korner - White zig-zag arrow on fuselage sides and top.
4. Ltn. Rudolf Rienau - White spiral band around fuselage.
5. Ltn. Arthur Rahn - Black fuselage band with white borders and white diamonds inside.
6. Unknown pilot - Wavy white line on fuselage sides.
7. Unknown pilot - X marking on fuselage sides.
8. Unknown pilot - Solid white bar along fuselage sides.
9. Unknown pilot - Black and white Fuselage Band aft of cockpit.
10.Unknown pilot - Black and white Fuselage Band with a large "4" on rear and top fuselage.
11.Unknown pilot - Solid yellow fuselage band.
12.Unknown pilot - Yellow fuselage band with two vertical black stripes.
13.Unknown pilot - White fuselage band with a black "P".
14.Unknown pilot - White triangle on fuselage sides and top.
15.Unknown pilot - white fuselage with yellow fuselage center and top deck
16. Jasta 19 stock skin with no markings.
There might be one or two that appear to have no personal markings.
Again this is all done with decals, not skin templates.

Jasta 11 D.III's
By quack74
--- For First Eagles Gold ---
Albatros D.III's of Jasta 11.
This download is of the Jasta 11 Albatros D.III's with the all red fuselages. Implimented late April 1917 to July 1917. The idea was to help Manfred von Richthofen's all red D.III blend in with the rest of the pack. Since there was a price on his head, his fellow airmen of Jasta 11 thought it might be a good idea if he wasn't the only "red" target. but each had an individual touch.
So I created a decal pack to help create some of the Jasta 11 ace's aircraft of this time period. They will appear at random and even von Richthofens D.III will appear as well. He might not be the lead plane, but he'll be in there.
Here is a list of who's planes you will encounter or use.
1. Manfred von Richthofen "Rittmeister" of Jasta 11 - All red fuselage with over-painted markings.
2. Karl Allmenroder - White nose and spinner with white elevators.
3. Kurt Wolff - Green nose and spinner with green elevators and light blue wheel discs.
4. Karl Emil Schafer - Rear fuselage and complete tail section all black.
5. Georg Simon - A pale green band around fuselage just aft the cockpit.
6. Hans Wolff - An orange band around fuselage just aft the cockpit.
7. Otto Brauneck - Blue nose and spinner with blue elevators.
8. Lothar von Richthofen - Yellow nose and spinner with yellow elevators and rudder.
The others you might see are unknowns and made up by me.
There will be some that appear to have no personal markings but will have the iron crosses on the fuselage sides and the tail section. I made these with crosses to make them different than Manfred von Richthofens plane. His plane will be the ONLY one with no personal markings and no fuselage and tail crosses.
More in the readme file.

FE1 & FE2 FMs BristolM1C- FE8-FokD8-Schuckert
By peter01
FMs for either FE1 or FE2.
I knew I had these somewhere, and found them on a backup drive. They were done last December. Just refined, tweaked and tested them a bit, and ... they are ready to fly.
New FMs for the Bristol M1C, Fe8, Fokker D8, Schuckert D3.
The Bristol M1C is very nice, has a new gun, and is equal in capability to my Albatros D3.
The FE8 has a couple of issues - on takeoff, stalls - but still nice, and in capability about the equal to my Halberstadt D3.
The Fokker D8 is the nicest FM I have done for this plane, it is very capable, about the equal to my Camels. Snipes vs Fokker D8s are fun.
The Schuckert D3 is a little less capable than the Fokker D8.
IMPORTANT
=========
For FE1 you must have installed the FE1 game files from "108 FE1 and/or FE2 FMs March 2010" in the Flight Models download section here. 108 FE1 and/or FE2 FMs March 2010
For FE2 you must have installed the FE2 game files "REALLY FIXED FE2 Game Files and 4 FE2 FMs 2010" in the Flight Models download section here. REALLY FIXED FE2 Game Files and 4 FE2 FMs 2010
INSTALLATION
============
1) I recommend you backup the folders of the above aircraft before installing.
2) Place all the files from this download into the corresponding aircraft directories.
Have fun.

REALLY FIXED FE2 Game Files and 4 FE2 FMs 2010
By peter01
Ahh, the last "Fixed" FE2 game file download didn't actually fix the loadout guns, it actually didn't work at all - so here's a fix that does.
Just noticed that FE2 creates a directory for GUNS and without that included the new guns (that don't jam) don't work! That directory is now included.
March 16th
************************************************************************************************************************************
An update, mainly to fix gun jams on gunpod/loadout guns in FE2. Jams didn't happen much to me before, but do now for some planes. I *think* Thirdwire may have implemented this in a more complex manner than I first assumed, perhaps jams for loadout guns depend on rated mach limits for individual planes.
Please install both gundata files and the entire "Weapons" folder in your "Objects" folder, as per the zip directory structure. This will give the loadout/gunpod guns 99% reliability - they will jam, but very rarely.
Sorry about that, and as a bonus here are fours FMs solely for FE2. You will have a problem if you install in FE1!
Se5a with gunsight. If you do not like, just delete the SE5A_LOADOUT file in the Se5a folder. It will revert back to the normal file that comes with the game with no added gunsight. I couldn't remove the second gunsight that comes with the model, it appears to be part of another graphic.
MSLOL - Morane Two Seater with wing mounted Lewis - this one now comes with a gunsight too.
Fokker DR1. Special FM for FE2, this one feels better in FE2.
Nieuport16LateV. Similar to previous but this includes several more loadouts that were not possible in FE1 (last upload was for both games), including Dual Lewis on wings.
Thanks to P10ppy for supplying the gunsights, as well as describing how to implement them.
Peter01 March 2010.

1ère Escadrille de Chasse Sous-Lieutenant Jean Olieslager's Hanriot HD1, H-D No.8
By JFM
This skin was created for EmlD's Hanriot HD1 (found here: http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=5730 and features overall silver/grey appearance with green uppersurfaces, engine-turned nose panels, integral (i.e., non-decal) Aviation Militaire Belge markings, and tri-colored stripes on the fuselage. Details include rib stitching, trailing edge drain holes, instrument panel that matches the VC instrument panel, and fluted Vickers barrel. As were many Belgian machines, this Hanriot was operated in a near-pristine condition until pranged 4 November 1917, an event which hospitalized Olieslagers for one month.

No. 202 Squadron DH-4 2-pack
By quack74
Thanks to the SFP1 A-Team SkunkWorks and Capun1950 for the DH-4 model and permission to use the skin template.
This DH-4 skin pack is from No.202 Squadron France 1918. Flown in the Flanders region around Northern Belgium. Previously 2RNAS before the creation of the RAF.
1. Serial N-5779 (lightning bolt on fuselage sides). I dont know the pilot or observer.
2. A generic No.202 Squadron skin (red and white wheel discs and white nose lettering with red shadowing.
There are a few different versions of the DH-4 according to engine and date. They are available in the FE forum section thanks to Panama Red and Sinbad I believe. Goes back a few months. But place these skins in any folder you wish. you may only have the one DH-4 folder anyway.

No.45 Squadron Camels
By quack74
This is a generic skin pack of No. 45 Squadron in mid 1917 to 1918.
No.45 Sqn first flew in France in mid 1917 and was transfered to Italy. Then to return to northern France in late (September) 1918 to finish out the war.
These Camels were covered almost entirely in PC10 with a white dumbell on the rear fuselage and up on the rear decking.
For this Camel I used the F1_130 version.

Flanders Seasonal Coastal Tiles
By Mike Dora
Flanders Seasonal Coastal Tiles
This is a small add-on to previous third-party terrain packs, providing a set of new seasonal coastal tiles to allow the user to enjoy Stary's seasonal tiles with Edward's Flanders terrain. Installation is a simple 5-stage process, just follow the steps set out in the ReadMe file.
My part in this pack has been only to build upon other people's excellent preceding work. Major acknowledgements are due to Edward for filling an important gap by bringing us his comprehensive Flanders front in the first place, and to Stary for his wonderful seasonal upgrade which has brought a new dimension to First Eagles.
Serious personal acknowledgements go to B Bandy RFC and NathanKell for all of their advice, encouragement and coaching through the challenges of first-time tile editing. Thanks chaps, it was a long haul but you never let me give up!
Any errors or omissions are of course mine and nobody else's (though if someone can figure out a way of extending Stary's new-style buildings and trees onto the coastal terrain that would be great).

Jasta 11 Ltn. Hans Hintsch? D.III
By quack74
This Albatros D.III is possibly D.2016/16 Piloted by either
Lt.Constantin Krefft or Lt.Hans Hintsch.
I just chose Ltn. Hintsch. 50/50 guess:)
It appears in the foreground of a famous Jasta 11 lineup at Roucourt, France, April 1917. Its serial number is censored in the photograph.
The number appears to be 2016/17 which would make it Ltn. Hans Hintch's D.III.
He Flew this Albatros D.III and shot down Sopwith triplane on 23rd May 1917. He was KIA on 24 May 1917.
Enjoy, quack74
P.S. Use this skin with WarlordATF's Jasta 11 DIII skin pack found in the CombatAce download section.

Jasta 12 DV's w darker purple
By quack74
Here are 11 Albatros D.V's of Jasta 12 in early summer 1917.
This pack is the same as the one already posted at CombatAce, except for the darkened purple camo on the wing surfaces. You decide which you like better.
Also I included the stock Jasta 12 DV with the dark purple paint.
They can be used along with quack74's Albatros D.III's of Jasta 12.
Jasta 12 used a few D.III's until mid summer 1917.
The one folder named "Criss Cross" has a stock light blue fuselage but I did include another .bmp with a white fuselage. Couldnt make up my mind. Shown in a line-up photo along side Schobingers D.V, it is one of the two.
These are just from the summer and fall of 1917. Late 1917 to 1918 had different personal markings all together. I had to draw a line somewhere:)

French Sopwith Triplane
By quack74
This is a Sopwith Triplane in French markings mid 1917.
Belonging to the Centre D'Aviation Maritime in Dunkirk, France.
I believe the numbers were also on the upper fuselage just aft of the cockpit. But the way the model is set up it is not possible to add these numbers without distortion. I tried and tried, no go.
Thanks to Capun and the SFP1 A-Team for the original Triplane Model and for the permission to skin and repost.
