AviatikD1 Skin Pack PART 1
By quack74
Aviatik D.I aircraft and skin pack for Stephen1918's AviatikD1 model.
This is only Part 1 of 2. The file was too big to include all in one download. I guess I got a little carried away. Try to follow the readme files. There will be some work on your part to get these to work. But it's all easy stuff. I promise
Instead of just skins I've created new Aircraft folders for every Flik. Each Flik has multiple skins inside. Flight models are by Ojcar with altered gun locations (false painted on guns w corrected muzzle flashes) by me.
You have to have Part 2 for these to work properly. It's well worth the effort. There are skins, Decals, Hangar and Loading screens, and a new Nation to add to the "NATIONS.INI". Lots of stuff. To much to explain here.
Thanks to Stephen1918 for this long awaited model and thanks to Ojcar for the Flight Models.
Ejoy them all!

New formation for Attack aircraft
By quack74
This will show you how to create a new formation for all of your attack aircraft. It will create three Squads with six elements per flight. They will appear to be in somewhat of a Vee formation with slight differences in altitude from one another. This works for FEG and FE2.
Enjoy, Quack74

Ojcar's Armchair Aces 1915 1.1 for FE1
By Grinseed
Acting on Ojcar's invitation and personal encouragement, I have modified his Armchair Aces 1915 1.1 for use with FE1.
Installation is the same as his original readme, but I have included my own readme explaining how the mod was achieved.
I have almost completed the 1916.1 version and have started looking over the 1917 version.
As mentioned in my readme, I will provide the stock FE2 aircraft variants not already included with FE1, i.e. the Alb DIII and DV5 variants etc that are required for 1917 and 1918. Sinbad has kindly given permission to modify his Strutters for 1916 1.1.
I have not had any problems with this modification and have been enjoying the campaigns immensely.
Thanks again to Ojcar. And special thanks to Canadair for his Unicode->Ansi batch converter and to Sinbad.
Cheers and Happy Landings

F2B package
By ojcar
So you all have the wonderful F2B by the A-Team?
And the not least wonderful Peter01 FM for this bird?
Very well, I have tuned a little more the FM (more easy take off for the AI), and have added a virtual second Machine gun for the observer. You'll see only one Lewis (that's the way the model it's done), but be careful, because there are two Lewis firing at you (in the very same location). I also changed the POW in the cockpit, so it's much more easier firing the Vickers!
The original FM (F2Ba, the one without wing Lewis, historically more correct) is from a 275 Hp Falcon III engined, so I have decided to make both Falcon I (190Hp with only one Lewis) and Falcon II (220Hp) engined Bristols!!!!

Jagdgeschwader II Fokker D.VII Multi-Pack
By quack74
-------------- Jagdgeschwader II ---------------
Summer, 1918
Jasta's 12,13,15, and 19 Fokker D.VII's.
White, green, red, and yellow respectively.
This download contains all the the known skins of JG.II's fokker D.VII's
during the Summer and Fall of 1918. Each skin folder uses the pilots name or a destiguishing feature. So there really is no need for me to include a description in this readme. The skin folders are self explanatory.
Enjoy,

Bristol F.2B 4 pack No.11, 22, 48, and 62 Sqns
By quack74
This download includes all the files needed to create four new F.2B aircraft (not just skins). The original .LOD files must be added to each aircraft folder for this download to work. For FE2 just drop in the folders into their proper locations.
Each F.2B aircraft uses decals to create A, B, and C Flights by the appearance of colored wheels (White, Red, and Blue respectively). Also different numbers and letters will appear aswell. No.22Sqn will have a Lewis gun on the upper wing. The FM's used are from Peter01's FM downloads.
The markings of each flight represent F.2B squadrons from Summer of 1917 till Spring of 1918.

Armchair aces 1915
By ojcar
From the Readme and installation notes:
Welcome WWI buffs! This is the first chapter in a series covering the (mostly) complete air war in Western Front in WWI. Next chapters coming in the standard two weeks!
The entire war is divided in mini-campaigns of a month-10 missions. I'm using the two stock maps plus the Vogesen map. This first chapter starts in August 1915, so until end of 1915 you'll have 50 missions per pilot! (and be in mind this is the shortest chapter)
The beauty of this approach is that you can follow your fav unit throught all maps, or you can simulate unit transfers for your pilot. You can start as a two seater pilot (as most Germans did), and then be "transferred" to a fighter unit. You can start as a RNAS pilot, and be in the RAF at the proper time, you can start in Escadrille 124 (the La Fayette escadrille) in French Army and end the war ir a USAS unit......A lot of possibilities.
This mod is intended for FE2, because in 1917 and 1918 you'll need the different Albatros, Strutters, SPADS et al with different engines that FE2 has. FE1 pilots will need to edit the campaigns to fly them, for example changing the name of the planes like AlbatrosD5_180 to AlbatrosD5....Please, don't ask me for a FE1 version. I'm doing 117 campaigns for the entire series and it's a lot of work!!!! Nevertheless, if someone want to make an FE1 version it has my agreement (if it's free for the people, of course).
So, be ready for a downloading fest.
Very important!!!! Read the Readme!!!!

Pfalz D.III, D.XII, Roland DVIa package
By ojcar
So you all have the wonderful Pfalz DIII and DIIIa by the A-Team?
And the not least wonderful Peter01 FM for this bird?
Very well, I have tuned a little more the FM because I think it needed to be a little tuned down. The DIIIa in game was faster than an Albatros DVa (180Hp) (just the contrary to pilot
stories about it). No more!
The Pfalz D XII was the contrary case. It was a close competitor for the Fokker VII, but in game was slower than the old DIIIa, so it has a new FM as well.
I have made also an FM for the Roland DVIa, beacuse there is no Peter01 FM for this plane (I think so). It's fast and nimble, but doesn't climb very well. Probably needs more testing...
Besides, reading about the Mercedes DIII engine history I noticed that early Pfalz DIII had the Mercedes DIII engine and late Pfalz DIIIa had the Mercedes DIIIaü (180Hp), but this engine
was in service in March 1918 and the DIIIa were in the units in late 1917, so.....we were lacking an engine!
At the same time, Albatros DIII and DV were given the Mercedes DIIIa (170Hp), so I have made a 170 Hp Pfalz!

Albatros C.III 766/16 Bohme/Lademacher
By sinbad
The Bohme/Lademacher Dragodiles The markings, logos, and numerals are those that appeared on the Alb C.III flown by Lt. Erwin Bohme and his observer Fritz Lademacher. The evidence available (three photos and the text of a letter from Bohme to his girlfriend) strongly indicate that the Dragodiles were white.
When I started this project I thought that the beasts might have been a light green or yellow-green.
It took some time to get it, but after I read the Bohme letter describing the images as “”ghosts” I decided they really were white.
That is why the default is the ghostly white.
I still included the less authentic, but more colorful greenies.
If you prefer the more colorful version, simply delete (or rename) the Decals file, and then copy and rename the"Decals Green Dragodiles" to "Decals".
Both decal sets are in the folder and should be left there. The green and yellow/green beasts should now appear. If you want to switch back, reverse the process. (That's why you didn't dump the original file!)
The Wood and Linen Alternative
This skin set uses the original decals provided by Stephen1918 that generate a varied set of markings derived from original German units and numerals.
None of the part numbers on the struts, elevators, wings, etc. are adjusted. Please back up your original “Wood and Linen files before using these as they will overwrite the originals. The logo on the prop is the earliest version of the Axial logo. Loading, Loadout and Hangar Screens. The loading and hangar screens are in the main file set along with the skins.
The loadout screen is in the Menu folder, and will replace the stock loadout screen for all aircraft. If you prefer the original, just delete it. Thanks to Stephen 1918 for a great model!
All files are set up for use in FE2.
If you need help getting this package to run in FE1, let me know.

New gun fire effect for First eagles
By Nixou
New fire effect for first eagles.
This is nothing fancy but anyways.
The muzzlflash.tga has been shamelessly stolen from Stary's hollywood effects mod.
So all the credits go to him!
I resized and adapted it for first eagles so you can enjoy a realistic and beautiful
muzzle flash as in the picture.
For those who want to know what they are buying, you can check how the gun fire looks like on this vid:
======Instructions=======
Put the "effects" folder content into your own game effects folder.
Edit your gundata.ini (in objects folder for FE1)
like the following
I want my vickers to have the flash
Change whatever gunfireeffect you had to "NewFireEffect" :
[GunData015]
TypeName=303CAL_VICKERS_MK1
FullName=.303 Vickers Mk I
.
.
.
.
.
MaxLightRange=1000.000000
FireColor=0.150000,0.150000,0.150000
GunFireEffect=NewFireEffect <------------------
Do the same way for all other lewis spandau and/or whichever other gun you'd like to.
Save with the gun editor

MartinsydeS1
By Flamer50
This is the last machine that Bort' built for 1st eagles that I'm aware of.
The S1 wasn't in the original upload because it hadn't been done untill
later, by which time the both of us had pretty much left the scene.
As Bortdafarms web page is long gone, I'm adding the S1 to the collection here at CombatACE.
Disclaimer: This zip file(MartinsydeS1.zip) is the sole work and property of Bortdafarm.

New FE2 in flight map
By Heck
What this mod will do:
1 Replace all airfields, friendly or enemy, on the in flight map with black dots.
2 Replace all map waypoint icons with a "pencil" X.
3 Replace the IP waypoint icon with a "pencil" square.
4 Use a red triangle for the target icon.
5 Eliminate the Friendly and Enemy aircraft icons on the in flight map.
What this mod will not do:
Eliminate the flight path lines between waypoints.
I've changed the color of these so that on some sections of terrain they will disappear, or be hard to see, but, according to TK, you're stuck with them, because they can't be removed. Feel free to use the Thirdwire color picker, available at here at CombatAce, to experiment with the color until you find one that works better for you.
Please read the enclosed readme for installation instructions. This mod is freeware, and all my own work (what little of it there was) so feel free to modify it to your heart's content and share the results with whomever you like, just don't use it for payware.
I hope you enjoy,
Heck

Gib_B&T_update
funcione tambien debes tener instalado "Gibraltar Buildings&Trees".
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well, I think the buildings that I did for Gibraltar looks too "European center".
For this reason I created a new set of textures for better-looking Andalusian/Arab
buildings.
By the way, I have replaced the trees with palms, in Some points..
I think the set now offers a more appropriate look (Of course, nothing
is perfect ... .)
REMEMBER: You must have installed "Gibraltar" terrain and also must be
installed "Gibraltar Buildings & Trees".
(Seriously: I hate the google translator.)

Belgian Nieuport 17bis Skins
Hi Guys,
to complete the belgian skins I made two Nieuport 17bis paints.
One of it is a general 5th Escadrille Paint, the other was used by Edmond Desclée.
In addition I made a new design of the cockpit instruments. Just follow the enclosed installation instructions.
The tailnumbers are updated from 1 up to 60. For it is the same script type you can use it with the other belgian Nieuport skins as well. Just copy the missing numbers into the analog decal folders and don't forget to copy the numbers.lst.
Have fun,
