Downloads for Free Subscription members are limited to two downloads per day. If you log in daily you receive two downloads per day. If you log in every two days you get 50% less, so the perks are already built in. We can't really give download benefits based on posts, comments, or reactions because 98% of the time they aren't genuine / quality interactions. We end up getting posts and comments that say things like, "Posting" and that's it. People will do the absolute bare minimum to get what they want.

I'm happy to listen if you have other suggestions.

I'm sure they appreciate your suggestions, thank you. From our vantage point we're happy to let their hard work and dedication stand on its own merits without the need of site branding.

Subtantially, I can not agree more ..

Still feeling that changing that portion of stealth site users and downloaders into "noisy"participants (even with the slightest minima) is somewhat beneficial to the total site activity and quantative busy-ness . And how knows? smday they would eventually turn into quality interacting members with deeper encounters.

Also, even mere likes, comments, reactions ,etc. is a considerable encouragement to the developers and publishers on their respective diligant work here .. surely, they would love to stir the stale waters a bit around.

You can wait 15 days and get 2 downloads per day for free

And the money goes to hosting those files. It's not Erik's fault that things are getting more expensive either.

So, like Flanker562 said, it's still free after the first 15 days, and you can snag 2 downloads each day. They do this to manage the download bandwidth and keep costs down. Honestly, I think this is one of the few spots that really focuses on the SF Thirdwire addon, and making sure it stays up and running is a solid way to keep it going for everyone.

I SUGGEST you keep a tighter rein on him. We really don't tolerate that sort of behavior; and as a parent, NEITHER should you. For someone that been a member here since 2014, and never engaged with the community, there's little to complain about on your end.

Like the other said above, you get 2 free a day after 15 days.  As has been repeated over and over and over and over again, it cost REAL money to keep this place afloat. A little gratitude goes a long way.
