TK had the following to say about dropping the AV-8A (which I agree was always a weird aircraft on the Central Front):

Anything we had to leave out, we'll most likely to do them later in another game... AV-8A will probably be done in a game that involves LHA and beaches to land on, for example.

There's also the appearance of the SA-8, which has only been used in combat by...

According to what I could find the SA-8 was not used in Lebanon. For a hint of what LHA and beaches might mean, check out the Wikipedia entry for USS Tarawa.

I'm not saying it's coming soon, but it does seem to be somewhere in the pipeline. I think it would sell (virtual) truckloads.

Russian sources say that Syrians (with assistance of Soviet specialists) deployed a limited number of their SA-8 in Lebanon 1981-1982.

So is TK going to fix that DX10, no HUD on 3rd party aircraft problem I wonder. Brain32 had some good points in a thread a few days ago. If you are going to use DX10 shouldn't it be used completely? I want to use that Advanced shaders tweak (super great FPS) very much so but if I do not have an AB flame or a HUD it makes it useless.

Has anyone looked at the SF2 campaign files yet? Are they pretty similar to the WOx files?

Not having to re-do all my campaign mods has been a big reason I haven't switched to SF2 titles yet, but if the files are similar enough it might not be that big of a deal.

SF2:E is looking really good...

Could you clarify that for me Dave? No Hud on third party aircraft? I have not yet moved over to the sf2 series and since all of my favorite aircraft are third party the no HUD issue would be a serious deal

breaker. I'm pretty happy with the 08 patch for air to air and the 06 patch for air to ground so maybe I should just wait this out till TK gets this new series patched up? kinda wondering if I'm missing something

here cause it does not seem like you would give up modding the original series if the new one still had these kind of issues.

Hi (!)

Who will prompt other than plastic cards, another way you can pay for the acquisition SF2E (?!).

I mean electronic payment systems, for example, MoneyBookers.

I have successfully loaded some WOX campaigns on SF2 without having to edit them (red campaigns for SFP1 and WOV).

Just make sure that the required planes are available.

Dave is talking about new feature introduced into SF2 series that enables the game to be ran in DX10 mode IF the user has DX10 capable hardware and operating system.

This feature has to be enabled via the *.INI edit and if all requirements are met it often leads to 100% performance improvement, yes the FPS get doubled :yahoo:

However that code path is not finished yet, and while other stuff is not so important, on of the major problem in that mode is that HUD's don't show up...

That's why some of have been campaigning for it on TW forums :)

The games work perfectly normal in default, DX9 mode :)

You should post this over on the ThirdWire forum so TK knows there is demand for another payment method. :good:
