+FastCargo Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 Well, it's actually smaller than the MOAB (GBU-43) by about 10 feet, but weighs 5 tons MORE! Also, the MOAB has 18700 pounds of explosive, but this new weapon only has roughly 6000 lbs. This thing must be damn near all steel and lead! A very specific weapon...not much boom, but a whole lot of drillin! Plus, being shorter, allows it to fit in the bay where a AGM-86 cruise missile sits now. FC

Yes Interesting - the damage 617sq did with Tallboys and Grandslams was shocking the way they just went through layers of concrete in those U Boat pens and rocket sites!
