+eburger68 Posted October 2, 2013 Author Posted October 2, 2013 jeanba: Well, it appears something has changed in TK's campaign engine code. Those 1-921st Sao Do squadrons were working at one point. Now the campaign engine is confusing them with each other -- probably because they share the same UnitName, even though they have non-overlapping Start/End dates and are distinctly and correctly numbered. This is ThirdWire's data, btw. I'll have to do a bit more testing and make some quickie corrections to allow the campaign engine to distinguish those squadrons. I'll post a corrected set of campaigns here later this evening. FWIW, my guess is that this "bug" affecting only the Red side campaigns, which has players selecting player flyable aircraft. In this case, the campaign engine is not selecting the appropriate squadron. I doubt this has any effect on the standard blue side campaigns. Eric Howes Quote
+eburger68 Posted October 2, 2013 Author Posted October 2, 2013 Folks: Attached the the post listed below is a corrected set of Rolling Thunder variant campaign files, including those for the "American War." http://combatace.com/topic/46246-sf2v-wov-air-ground-expansion-packs/page-26?do=findComment&comment=639301 As noted earlier, I think the underlying bug affects only the selection of some Red squadrons in the "American War," but I've updated all the Rolling Thunder campaigns just in case. Kraszus Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 The DIANE on the A-6A/B doesnt seem to be working. At least not in the way that Migbuster's does. With Migbusters I have a fall-line and a CCIP crosshair. I just seem to have gunsights with this mod which dont appear to reflect a CCIP. Or am I missing something??? I've installed MigBusters mods (edited to safely merge with SF2v Expansion) on top of this and it seems to work quite well. Appreciate the update regardless :) Quote
future_tuskegee_airman Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 This is AMAZING! Love the new targets and how you split up the Rolling Thunder Campaigns! I can't get enough of the missions! Thanks so much for all your hard work and dedication to improving this campaign mod!!!! Quote
+eburger68 Posted October 4, 2013 Author Posted October 4, 2013 (edited) Kraszus: Yes, it does appear that I somehow botched the implementation of MiGBuster's DIANE mod. A corrected set of files for the A-6A and A-6B is attached to the post here: http://combatace.com/topic/46246-sf2v-wov-air-ground-expansion-packs/page-26?do=findComment&comment=639435 Eric Howes Edited October 4, 2013 by eburger68 Quote
Iffy350 Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 (edited) Ruined by trying to incorporate the overprice dlc crap into this otherwise stellar mod. Oh well. Edit: I mean I could understand paying around 10 dollars for each of the dlc 'expansion packs' but 25 each? Thats just rediculous. A few extra planes, a new campaign, and a mission editor is not worth 50 USD. Edited November 26, 2013 by Iffy350 Quote
Wrench Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 WTF are you talking about??? The GAME itself is only 20 bucks. the DLCs run from 2-5 dollars. methinks you're posting in the wrong forum, about a completely different game.... Quote
+eburger68 Posted November 26, 2013 Author Posted November 26, 2013 Iffy350: The Expansion Packs and DLC releases are not required for the Sept. 2013 Update. This update does add support for the DLC F-104Cs for those that have that particular DLC, but they aren't required -- an alternate F-104C is installed by default. It also adds support for several aircraft that use models from the Expansion Packs, but those are optional aircraft -- they aren't required. SF2NA is also supported -- again, if you have it, but it is not required. The only thing that changed is the requirement to have SF2 (w/ the Desert terrain) and SF2E. Eric Howes Quote

Its basically dlc since it should have been included in the original game. I've got enough going on as it is. No reason to reinstall SF2, SF2V, and SF2E when Misery 2.1 is on the way. Quote
+Stary Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 ^not that's what I call internet savoir-vivre back on topic: installing this beast after a loong time away from " SF2V Air & Ground War Expansion Pack v2.0" -already thank you to all involved! had to uninstall certain D*S and CL*D titles to have place for this gem of a pack Quote
jeanba Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 Hello On the inflight map ('M' key), I can see the friendly (blue plane) but not the ennemy (red) ones ? Do you have any idea of what is happening ? Thank you in advance Quote
+eburger68 Posted February 8, 2014 Author Posted February 8, 2014 jeanba: Yes, there's a custom HUDDATA.INI and MAPENEMYICON.TGA in the \Flight folder. Take those out and the enemy planes will again be visible. Eric Howes Quote
Vanguard1 Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Hi Guys I'm trying to download this update but each time I go to the download page, both Download buttons are greyed out. I've been randomly trying this over the last week or so, but the buttons are always greyed out and this seems to be only download page with this problem. Every other download I've done recently has worked fine; am I doing something wrong or is there a problem with this update? Any help, much appreciated. Thanks Quote

I just checked the download for this update -- it's available and the download buttons are not greyed out. So, I have no idea what the problem might be. Perhaps a problem with your CA account or your browser? Eric Howes Quote
Emp_Palpatine Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 By the way, I noticed the strangest thing: sometime, a stray wide weasel plane attacks... the carriers at Yankee Station! I've seen a couple of time, using F-12, some A4 or F-105D using their HARM missiles against them. Quote
+eburger68 Posted April 24, 2014 Author Posted April 24, 2014 Emp_Palpatine: Yes, you will see that occasionally. I've tried to put a damper on it by limiting radars and SAM ranges for those carriers, but it still happens on occasion. Same thing happens, by the way, with OpDarius. Short of stripping those ships of radars, I'm not sure what else can be done. Eric Howes 1 Quote

pilot267 Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 I downloaded the expansion and everything works very well. However, I noticed that missions that are flown with the Navy are not being done from carriers. I would really like to fly from the carriers instead. Help is appreciated. Quote
+eburger68 Posted August 11, 2014 Author Posted August 11, 2014 pilot267: In order to fly Single Missions from carriers (Navy aircraft always fly from carriers in campaigns), you need to have SF2NA installed as part of your base install and you need to have installed the Mar2012 and SF2NA update files from this install package. +eburger68 Posted September 18, 2014 Author Posted September 18, 2014 Folks: The cumulative update package for the SF2V Air & Ground Expansion Pack pack has been refreshed once again. It is now known as the Sept 2014 Update. As with previous versions of the update package, this is a cumulative update -- meaning, that it includes all the updates, fixed, and additions from previous update packages plus some new things as well. Please note that unlike previous update packages, this update consists of two parts -- so please make sure that you download and unpack both part 1 and 2 from this link: http://combatace.com/files/file/10466-sf2v-air-ground-war-expansion-pack-v20-sep-2014-update/ Each part is about 300 mb. Also, please take a look at the enclosed ReadMe for installation instructions as well as notes about the various optional goodies that are included in this update package. Eric Howes Quote
