EricJ Posted February 27 Posted February 27 Wouldn't you have to make a new Mig-23/27 for that to look right though? I mean it's cool looking, but I guess you can figure out a way to adapt it so it looks right. Quote
+Gepard Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Here is the link to a german site with good photos of the weapon racks on the MiG-23BN. http://www.jbg37.de/html/bombenbewaffnung.html Quote

The link is to a site which is dedicated to the east german fighter bomber squadron JBG-37, which used the MiG-23BN and earlier the MiG-17F fighter bomber. If you go to the page you will see the use of MBD-2-67U quad rack with 4 bombs and on the bottom of this page you see the nuclear weapon pylon, which was intended for RN-40 A-bomb. Other links on the page are to the gun, the unguided rockets (in pods and the big S-24 with the special launch rail for this rocket) and the Kh-23 guided missile. Simply click through this site, it has a lot of good photos. For the MiG-23 fighters i must look in my archive, whether i have some good photos of the armament or not. 1 Quote

Wrench Posted May 17 Posted May 17 now that i've finished my bit for the F-35 remod, I can get back to terraining. In this case, the "Espana" map from Op.Pelayo. Been working on and off on it since late last year. Made a lot of corrections and retiling. All airports have been rebuilded and are complete, excepitng for minor eye candies. I'll have to stop work on it for a week or so sometime over the next few days, and I'm going to have to learn Winge 11 when my BRAND NEW MACHINE ARRIVES!!!!! (and none too soon -- this one is starting to really act out). Of course, reinstalling every-damn-thing!! (good part is, I get to finally use the full SF2 pack with all the DLCs I bought years ago!) As you can see below, using my (patent pending) special tiles, Ceuta looks a bit more like itself then before. There are about 5 or 6-ish new tiles, mostly ports, and so forth. This terrain has a lot of flaws, and I'm trying to correct as many I can (other wise Macalana and Stratos will yell at me <gr>) 12 2 1 Quote
Wrench Posted June 4 Posted June 4 Small progress report --- Cadiz, and the Bay of. San Fernando in the distance, and Puerto Real to the left. Unfortunately, there's not enough room (tile wise) to add Puerto de Santa Maria, which I'd really like to. Given the historical significance, as Columbus sailed from there. I'll try and figure something out. (and yes, I do know the penninsula is faaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrr to fat!!!) 13 1 Quote

Wrench Posted August 3 Posted August 3 in the works, and coming soon (designed for when I finish the Iberia map) NEW!!! Completely rebuilt and more accurate C.15 Hornet for EDA. The mod from 2009 is udder shite, even though this is based off that old one. vastly improved with things that actually work as advertised (!!!). F-16AM for PoAF, nation specific. lots of new 'fiddly bits' A-7P for PoAF. Yes, I know there's a DLC for that, but we've got plenty of cheapass MFs around that won't buy a subscription, let alone a DLC from TK/3rdWire. (both seen recently in the "Transitions" screen shots thread) Both the F-16 and A-7P are based off TMF's birds (A-7A with A-7E cockpit and electronics). 5 3 Quote
Wrench Posted August 4 Posted August 4 Forgot to mention, I just discovered an unfinished EDA Sabre skin from 2012!!!!! (better, of course than the one already here) (really? only 7 serial per aircraft? too lazy to look up the rest??). Even though my serials a just generic .... Also found out we don't have a Portuguese Sabre skin either!! Now, I've got to run down their paint scheme (colored tails for ?? squadron), and the serials. Doncha love modding? Making sure folks that'll download a terrain that's not even finished, have all the right birds??? 2 1 Quote
+daddyairplanes Posted August 4 Posted August 4 just gonna skin this one unit as it was in 1983 20 squadrons and 4 camo schemes for each later......... 2 Quote
Wrench Posted August 26 Posted August 26 One of my most favorite things to do in the entire Universe ..... Since there's no template for the Bis B, have to make one. Simply because I don't like the brown/green camo as used by Syria for Algeria (which apparently used 2 tones of brown). Noted from several photos found the the web. Just LOVE drawing thousands of rivets ---- At least the serials will be right .... 4 2 Quote
Wrench Posted September 20 Posted September 20 Doncha just love it when ... You need one simple skin for a simple aircraft. Then you discover that said simple aircraft has NOT been converted/updated for SF2. EVER. And that many of the skins in the Original Release Package (tm), aren't even FOR that model of said aircraft. To say nothing of all the other bits and pieces that'll need SF2izing. Well, there goes what I had planned this weekend (not to worry -- the Algerian Su-30s should be out on Sunday, to celebrate Sukhoi Sunday. of course 2 Quote
