Dave:

I'll take the strippers. You can have the penguins.

I suppose we can split the beer with the rest of the team.

dsawan:

Product version for Apr2012 is 12.4.2.30. Product version for Nov2011 is 11.11.2.28.

Don't know what the version is for Mar2012,but it must be higher than what you have for that .EXE. Note that patching with ThirdWire's update installers will not update/patch any custom .EXEs you've created. You have to manually recreate those from the latest stock .EXEs that get dropped in the patching process.

I always wanted to have strippers dancing in front of me and penguins just wandering around for no particular reason. :drinks::blink::rofl:

"What's with the penguins?"

"Party guests."

"Oh"

Hi, may have found the prob. it looks like patching issue. the thirdwire default has 2 exe of the same type but different name. The patch looks for the original exe name. Mine said modded install. Only thing is if I rename, it might cause probs as how will patch know which sf2up2 to patch? but I think its this. When i first got into this, I created mod folders and then moved to the newly created ones which takes some time. But you should not have to move things, correct? Forgive as i work a lot and dont have time to game as much. Every time there is an update i get nervous.

"What's on the television then?"

"Looks like a penguin."

"No, no, no, I didn't mean what's on the television set, I meant what PROGRAM?"

"...funny that penguin being there, isn't it? What's it doing there?"

"Standing!"

"I can see that!"

"If it lays an egg, it will fall down the back of the television set."

"We'll have to watch that...unless it's a male."

"Ooh, I never thought of that!"

"Yes...looks fairly butch."

"Perhaps it comes from next door?"

"Penguins don't come from next door, they come from the Antarctic!"

"BURMA!"

"Why'd you say Burma?"

"I panicked...Oh, intercourse the penguin!!!"

"It's just gone 8 o'clock, and time for the penguin on top of your television to explode." *BOOM*

"How'd he know that was going to happen?"

"It was an inspired guess."

Hey guys...very excited about this release, thanks! I am having one small problem though. Every time I try to get to the campaign screen from the main menu the game locks up. Instant action and single missions work great, but when I try to get into a campaign, I get a system freeze every time. What could be causing this? I noticed that the [campaign] section in the options.ini file still seems to be defaulting to "621026 Red Thunder"...could this be the problem? Otherwise i followed the read me directions to a fault.

I'm running SF2 Europe April 2012. I do have other SF2 games installed, but without the merge.

Thanks again!

Jarhead0331:

Try replacing the Campaign section of your Options.INI with this data:

[Campaign]
CampaignName=19910117 Desert Storm
PlayerService=USAF
PlayerUnit=336th TFS
AircraftType=F-15E
Difficulty=NORMAL
Length=NORMAL
AircraftSupply=NORMAL
WeaponSupply=NORMAL
LoadCampaign=FALSE
CampaignSavename=DefaultCampaignSave

this is not a formal complaint but an observation, there is ALOT in this mod. running it on my new HP Pavillion and a heavy terrain modded (stary's latest four seasons Germany) loads in one minute but runs 30fps or better. ODS runs at 6-8 fps like my old compaq used to for stok install. however i say its not a complaint yet as it led me to discover HP didn't install my Radeon card properly at the factory! gettin on with tech support in a bit to try and install it via remote and we will see. it is still awesomeness even at the low speeds i'v been running it at so far.
