Hi

I'm editing the TMF A-7K files and I have a question about the cockpit lod meshes :

Can somebody tell me the mesh name of these three ripple/interval selector knobs, please?

The OUT file is quite unclear about mesh names (Drawcall_xxx...)

(hoping that they're 3 different meshes and not only one)

Did the A-7K had a terrain avoidance radar like the A-7D?

The -K avionics.ini file shows only ground map mode.

Btw...

in the avionics.ini file, what's the right entry for terrain avoidance mode with the 70avionics.dll?

I've tried "TA" and "Terrain_avoidance".

Thanks

Well, I tried TERRAIN_AVOIDANCE but it didn't work.

It should work with "AvionicsDLL=Avionics60.dll" in the main ini file.

But the A-7K has the "AvionicsDLL=Avionics70.dll" entry.

So it's more something like this :

AvailableModes=SEARCH,TWS,STT,ACM,GM,TV

(search, track while scan, ???, air combat manoeuvre, ground map, tv)

Sorry, I forgot that the A-6 and F-111 both use Avionics60.dll.

I took a look at the Avionics70.dll with a a Hex editor and found these listed.

OFF,SEARCH,TWS,STT,ACM,GM,TF,GMT

(search, track while scan, single target track, air combat maneuvering, ground map, terrain following,???)

Try TF or GMT.

there is no real TFR in game, there's a set 'clearence' spec in the avionics ini.

But there is a call for it, only in avi 60, iirc

this from the 08 level A-7B:

[AvionicsData]
AvailableModes=GROUND_MAP,TERRAIN_AVOIDANCE
RangeUnit=NM
RangeSetting[1]=5
RangeSetting[2]=10
RangeSetting[3]=20
RangeSetting[4]=40
RangeSetting[5]=80
RadarPosition=
MaxElevationAngle=5
MinElevationAngle=-15
MaxAzimuthAngle=45
ScanPattern[1].BarElevation[1]=0.0
ScanPattern[1].ScanRate=60
ScanPattern[1].ScanBeamAngle=6.0
ScanPattern[1].ScanArc=45
GroundMapRangeSetting=3,4,5
GroundSearchStrength=75
TerrainAvoidanceRangeSetting=1,2
ClearanceDistance=152.4

obviously, in meters

Another quick fix, to invert the AOA indexers color (red & green) and tuned 4° flatter, it's just better IMO.

A-7K_COCKPIT_quickfix.rar

The 3 buttons DrawCall_0576, DrawCall_0575 and DrawCall_0577 can't be used (ripple interval and quantity) because they're not aligned XYZ with their panel :^(
