MigBuster 2,884 Posted May 15, 2015 http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-32747861 The "King of the Blues", guitarist and singer BB King, has died aged 89. King, known for his hits My Lucille, Sweet Little Angel and Rock Me Baby, died in his sleep in Las Vegas. Born in Mississippi, King began performing in the 1940s, going on to influence a generation of musicians and work with Eric Clapton and U2. Once ranked as the third greatest guitarist of all time, he had been suffering ill health in recent months.
Fubar512 1,350 Posted May 15, 2015 Damn. I remember when he collaborated with Bono and U2 for one track (which was released as a single) on U2's "Rattle and Hum" album, back in 1988. RIP BB.

Skyviper 1,101 Posted May 15, 2015 I had a chance once to dine at his restaurant. BEST Bacon cheeseburger ... he was to play that night but we had to leave town. :(
Fubar512 1,350 Posted May 15, 2015 (edited) I had a chance once to dine at his restaurant. BEST Bacon cheeseburger ... he was to play that night but we had to leave town. :( Now that is a pity. I would have canceled any and all engagements to have heard him play Edited May 16, 2015 by Fubar512
ironroad 218 Posted May 16, 2015 An originator is gone, Little Richard and Chuck Berry may take credit for "rock", but B.B. Kings early music really had an influence on the genre.
+Jimbib 747 Posted May 18, 2015 A true musical legend who will be greatly missed. I saw him a couple of times, once over here in the UK with Gary Moore (another great blues artist gone) and then at Clapton's Crossroads in 2010, rest in peace BB.
