Stock decals and insignia's extrection

Recommended Posts

Hi, was wondering if anyone knows how to extract decals and insignia's using the cat extractor? I've only managed to get skins out (which was also kinda annoying since you need the exact name), but i havent been able to find decals and insignias.

Would appriciate any suggestions and tips!

they are hidden in one (insignias) or more (numbers & sqn patches) of the objedttdata cat files.

Wich one I don´t know yet.

Just try, should be something like insignia***, USAFNum***, SQNPatch***  or something like those..

they are literally scattered EVERYWHERE, but those stuntman listed will have many. Also, some in the 20s have a bunch more.

best thing to do, is have another multi-terrabyte HD and extract them ALL. Easiest way to find things.

Default INSIGNIA from 001 to 256

Just extract everything. It took 1 minute and 12 GB

You always can delete extracted anytime

Default place for changed insignia in your mod folder is

C:\Users\*YOURNAME*\Saved Games\ThirdWire\*StrikeFighters2 YOURMOD*\Objects\Decals\

With the CATExtractor from Mue's Toolbox you can search for files (in all CAT and DLC files at once) by applying a filter, e.g. "insign*tga":

As much as I like the stock F-14A, The roll rate on it is just awful. The only way I manage to get a proper fast roll is by pointing my elevators down and then rolling, which is really annoying when you're trying to gun someone down. Does anyone have any fix available for the data.ini on it? Would highly appreciate that. Thanks!

Installing one of MyTai's F-4B skins for SF1 to SF2 F-4B_67. Following correct SF2 file path for decals; all show up except nose number only on left side. How do I fix this?

During Operation Diamond an iraqi pilot has decided to defect from iraq with his family, and so he had landed his Mig-21 F-13 in israel. This acquisition of the new and advanced soviet fighter has given israel alot of insight on its capabilities, and how to fight againts it. During it's service with the israeli airforce (and the US airforce), it has took on several paint schemes, this being the final and most used one.

To install simply follow this steps:
