Nothing to do that I can see, everything working as intended.

If they haven't been here they wouldn't be getting email so it won't affect them. If they log in after the fact I will force them to update their email if their account is flagged.

That message will be gone soon, it is there for everyone who visits the site regardless if their email is correct or not. Starting tomorrow any email bounces we receive will start removing accounts, they will not be recoverable.

That's of the assumption that I've made no effort to communicate how to activate free downloads. Do you really think this is true?

Silly question, but why is it my responsibility to fix the inability of people being able to read? I've jumped through the hoops, I continue to support the site, now I have to spoon feed downloads on a golden platter with an Erik fix this or make this widget so they can figure it out. I'm not following the logic here and I'm asking sincerely. I'm of the opinion that if they have to put in just the smallest amount of effort to download files for free that's okay. Just me?

Your account looks like it should be able to download files with the free account. Can you confirm?

You could try providing more information, like the link to the file you were trying to download. We have thousands of files, nobody is going to guess which file you were trying to download.

If anyone can, it would certainly be you.

Your profile completion isn't critical, those are things like birthday, age, all the other stuff that nobody usually shares. Your email account is fundamental to your account, you can't have an account without an associated email address. If your email address is good, you can login and receive email there, then that is the gold standard. Being around 20+ years we've got a lot of old email addresses that people have changed or abandoned. Email providers are revoking bulk senders ability for having too many returned emails, meaning we send emails to accounts that don't exist. That's why we've been on the kick to get email addresses updated.
