Most of the fuselage damage was done by the engine disintegrating at high speed. Definitely struck by an infrared honing projectile, no doubt.

Yes, in fact I just changed my right click menu back to the old explorer.exe look, it's been bugging me but since writing my reply I decided to fix it. My Win11 is now back to Win7/10 feel. The only thing I can't change back is the start menu layout but if you play with it enough in settings > personalization > start you can get it close enough that it won't bother you. I'm having no issues beating my install into submission. I should also say that new ToDo List and Office syncing to my Samsung phone is a bloody blessing. I can now use my phone as an extension of my computer even when the computer is at home. They are really giving Apple a run for their money which is what I think the rollout of Win11 was really all about.

Win11 is really Win10 with minor improvements. So, if you're running Win10 your machine will tolerate Win11. My Win11 install looks much like a Win7 install, so did my Win10 for that matter. I don't need all that frilly GUI look and feel stuff, I much prefer everything to be where things are supposed to be or where I know them to be. The two biggest changes are the Start menu, and the right click menu. Win11 moved more into Apps and widgets, but I've never been into widgets so that's not significant to me. There are some improvements to networking, and I like the updated power shell. I did buy a new Crucial P5 Plus SSD with read/write speeds up to 6600MB/s and dumped in a new 32GB DDR4 single sided stick and my cold start to fully loaded desktop time improved to 8 seconds. Win11 has been stable with no crashes or issues to report.

We’re on the brink of antigravity which will make all of the forgone tech ancient over night.

Could this be due to a corrupt installation of the Thirdwire games, or a missing game since they need all of them? Would it be possible for the installer to verify the existence of all the correct paths and excutables before it installs and maybe report back if something is missing or out of place? Thinking out loud not trying to disrupt your support thread. E

... or you could log out each time you leave the site, so we're forced to give you a new login cookie each time. I've been using Firefox (96.0.1 (64-bit) is my current version) for 16 years and I've never had a problem with it. It may also have something to do with security settings and being able to store cookies to your machine properly. If you're logging in from multiple machines that may also have something to do with it but until I can reproduce the issue locally, I'd only be guessing as to the problem. E

Member Album file limits?
Erik replied to epower's topic in Site Support / Bug Reports / Suggestions
Albums may have more than 100 images. When uploading / adding images to an album the maximum you can add at one time is 100. Hope that helps. -
It's a known Firefox issue where clearing all cookies from CA clears the issue.

We really don't have hard data on the Omicron virus because now we have some people fully vaccinated with three shots and partially with two. So, if Omicron is infecting people, I would offer that it may be worse than Delta it only appears better because we now have people with some level of immunity. Also don't forget we have people just getting over Delta, so they have some natural immunity which is certainly impacting Omicron's lethality. Viruses usually get better at what they do, not worse. Here in the States 3 injections are the new level of protection with additional boosters to follow. Yesterday the US released a pill form of medication that is effective against Covid if taken in the first 5 days of illness. We're getting there, we will beat this thing and make enough medication for the World that we can finally put this behind us.

If unvaccinated hosts remain the virus will remain and if we don't get our shit together it will become endemic like the flu, which some would argue it already is.

Hi everyone, If you use an email provider like Gmail, Microsoft Outlook, Yahoo, and others they will start bouncing our emails back to us if you place our emails in your spam folder or mark them as spam. You can whitelist our domain within these email platforms if you wish to receive future emails. The email providers are trying to prevent spam utilizing this new bounce system so once we start getting emails back that have bounced and to maintain our email reputation, we will start turning off email notifications for your account. That means you will no longer receive email notifications from us. You may choose your communication preferences here: https://combatace.com/notifications/options/ Thank you.

In the first video, it wasn't until I saw these young lads standing on the sidelines holding their poles that I realized the pursuit of women is the same all over the world.

From Malibu43's post in the Knowledge Base: Any mods or addons you download for the 2nd Gen games may include a reference to a “Mod folder" somewhere in the readme, or where the user is supposed to put the downloaded files. However, there is no folder (nor should one be created) called “Mods”. The following is to help you understand what the “Mod folder” is referring to. When a 2nd Gen game is first installed, the game needs to be run at least once so that the game can create the “Mod folder”. After the first time you run the game, a set of directories will be created in one of two locations, depending on whether you’re running XP or Vista/WinX (where X is your version 7 thru 11). Assuming you ran the .exe for Strike Fighters 2, the directories created are as follows: WinXP C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\My Documents\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2\Effects C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\My Documents \ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2\Sounds C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\My Documents \ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2\Objects\Decals C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\My Documents \ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2\Objects\Pilots C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\My Documents \ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2\Objects\Weapons Vista/WinX (Windows 7 through Windows 11) C:\Users\<username>\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2\Effects C:\Users\<username>\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2\Sounds C:\Users\<username>\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2\Objects\Decals C:\Users\<username>\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2\Objects\Pilots C:\Users\<username>\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2\Objects\Weapons So, most of the time, the term “Mod(s) Folder” is referring to the “StrikeFighters2” directory in the example above, highlighted in yellow above. When you run the game, the game will look in the "Mod folder" for any files or addons first before pulling files from the main install directory. **NOTE** If you ran Strike Fighters 2: Vietnam the first time, the directory or "Mod folder" would be called “StrikeFighters2 Vietnam”. If you ran Strike Fighters 2: Europe, the directory would be “StrikeFighters2 Europe” and so on. An addon or mod may have Effects, Sounds, Objects, Campaigns, Terrains (etc..) folders contained within the zip file that are supposed to be dropped into your “Mod Folder”. You would drop those files into the StrikeFighters2 folder (in the example above) and allow to overwrite when asked. Notice that some folders are not created when the game is run the first time, and you may be required to create those folders first yourself. Prime examples being …\StrikeFighters2\Terrains and …\StrikeFighters2\Campaigns. There are too many to list all of them, but you get the idea. If the readme tells you to drop something into a directory that isn’t already there, make sure you’re looking for the right thing and that it really is missing, and then just create it yourself.

Combatace access issues.
Erik replied to whiteknight06604's topic in Site Support / Bug Reports / Suggestions
Security settings in your browser disable or invalidate the cookie so websites don't track you. This is a Firefox security thing and it's why it's only happening in Firefox. Adjust your security settings as I mentioned previously. We don't do anything other than set a cookie that says you're logged in with a timestamp and we certainly can't do anything on your computer to make things change on how you access the site. -

Yep, flush the cookies and cached pages and you should be fine. -

Check the security settings in Firefox ... set it to normal and see if that clears up your problem. I also noticed in my install I remove all the cookies and cached pages every time I close the browser and that setting works fine other than I have to log in every time but that's not a big deal. Thanks
