Yes it is! And the FAA made sure to give me a wonderful one. I got to get poked and prodded by the flight doc, and then sent off to work just in time for the pre Christmas cargo rush! I have to say the doc was quite agitated he couldn't find anything at all less than perfect. A beacon of good health I yam. But good times were had last night with my pals, even if I don't remember much of it... Thanks for the wishes Wrench!

Looks like it should be called Ramp Control.

Ooh, Ooh, me, pick me! I could maybe use that too, I'll shoot you a PM. Watching the guy who ran in before me get knocked down into a tree line. Doesn't do much for self confidence. -

http://waylon-art.com/uvw_tutorial/uvwtut_01.html http://www.renderhjs.net/textools/ Get to work. Seriously though, UVW mapping is the worst part of the whole project for me. I have enough problems doing it on my own models let alone volunteering to do it for someone else. -

As was pointed out elsewhere, JPG's are a bad idea. There's a reason they are never used for texturing. I'll point out that even though the JPG gets decompressed to the same size as a BMP in the end, the fact is you have to waste resources decompressing it. Not to mention JPG compression ruins a lot of detail a BMP would otherwise not. If you're really that hard up for file size shrinking that you want to make these sacrifices I guess you can, but to me its not worth it. -

JPG? Why? -
I'm Bored....

I have the opposite problem. Between new video games, social occasions, work, and soon snowboarding, I just can't find time to work on any projects. I even set aside some plastic model kits for this winter and I haven't had time to even touch them. -

Yeah, I got it figured out. Somehow I was getting the old plugins despite what the download descriptions said. I grabbed the newest one from TK's site and its working fine now. -

So my next question I guess is where is the data for the height for the bump and the specular being pulled from? Separate BMPs? DDS? Trying to figure out how to do this and my experimentation hasn't produced any results so far. EDIT: Don't know why but I can't get the right materials to export. The .out never shows them. I have the latest exporter, or I should... -

I was referring to our current mod aircraft, not really TK's. -

I don't have the P-51, but I'd love a screenshot or something of how he's got that spec map set up on it. We could make some real nice improvements to existing models with new specular maps. -

Hmm, odd TK isn't using it then. -

Do we not have specular mapping support yet? Doesn't look like it from the screen shots. EDIT: Not a super complaint I have, its just a random gripe with the series since I started playing with the textures from the early days. I never liked how you could only have one setting for the whole texture. -
Well, I'm on my laptop on my couch right now. My main PC is still in pieces, waiting for a new desk to arrive so I can start building my office tomorrow. Then I can get back to work on mods. Are there any plans for a GUI at some point? Not saying you have to do it, the tool looks great as it, just curious how far the scope of your plans are.

MS Flight Sim doesn't use animations the same as SF. So you'd have to do them all over. The mappings for textures should be good. You'll have to write a new flight data file since the MS data won't work in SF. Pretty much all the data files would have to be written from scratch. It's doable with access and permissions to the right files, but don't think for a moment it will be quick or easy.

Well, I did want this to be a separate purchase, since I wasn't interested in anything else in the Exp 2. I do think he should have just given this for free though, its a bit lame IMO to be selling a mission editor. I've never seen another company do that. I support his DLC route, but there is such a thing as nickel and diming your customers. Does this editor have more/less functionality then Le Missionneur or KMD?

Might be a bit before I can continue working on stuff. I'm 75% of the way through moving to a new apartment. I've had to move while working 6 days a week so I have no time left for myself. I won't have internet at the new place for a while either. I'm also building a new office there so I'll be without a proper computer desk for a few weeks probably. I'm also up for my final certification check next week on Missoula Radar so hopefully I can just get through that and be finished with training.
