KC-97L Stratofreighter
charlielima replied to Veltro2k's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - File Announcements
Can we just call it the Strato Hauler ? Stratofrieghter Stratocruiser Stratotanker I don't think we can call these birds a miscellaneous whatsit airplane. CL -
This should be an easy one. It appears we have 99.85% of the airplane all ready. HC-97G Stratofrieghter. They supported the Gemini space program and SAR missions in South East Asia in the 1960s. http://www.aero-web.org/specs/boeing/hc-97g.htm Interesting. It appears some where painted ADC grey and others stayed bare metal. I'm thinking SPADs escorting and HU-16s would be part of their show after the PJs jump. CL

Affirm. For retardant drops its anchor and flank, tie the next drop to the last. It is linear. Helicopter bucket drops can be spot specific. One wildland fire suppression mission for aviation that i think is reasonably obtainable is the Troop Shuttle of handcrews by helicopter to helispots using the Crater and Cargo method after somebody makes some handcrews of course. LAPES dozers could be fun. After watching the C-130 Wings I would call an engine that was rediculously worn out a Lapes Engine. CL
