  1. Actually, there is a topic on the Weaponseditor here: http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showtopic=9323 and http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showtopic=12210 What you are looking for is a list that explains what all the terms in a weapondata.ini entry mean. That's a whole lot of terms! If someone can make such a list that would be great...however, you may want to use a internet search engine in the meantime to figure out what those terms mean. FastCargo
  2. Okay, I see the issue here. Because the Polish forums were created recently, I assume the 'flag' that has them show up on the CA home page was inadvertantly left 'checked' verses 'unchecked' like the other 'other than English' forums. I'll send a message to the Admins to get that adjusted. In the meantime, like Stick said, check the header of the thread you are reading to determine what forum you are in. Because the original post has been addressed and the issue determined, this topic is closed. FastCargo
  3. Ravenclaw, Unless the topics were all moved, all the topics you just listed are in the Polish forum. Remember, the list of most recent postings (the CA home page) cover the entire forum, so even the 'other than English' topics will show up on that list. Carry on. FastCargo
  4. Stratos, it's the addon that has the motionblur option. You need to read the readme that comes with it to disable the motion blur option. FastCargo

Looks like you got it working. FastCargo

Did you run the weapons editor as per the knowledge base? FastCargo
  7. Yep, did it a while ago...works just fine. FastCargo

    sa 5

Maybe. Do you still get missile launches (the missile is invisible)? Or are there no missiles at all? FastCargo
  9. Hey guys, This forum is for answers and articles. Please post questions in the appropriate General Discussion forum. Thanks. Moving this thread over there. FastCargo

Is there something you need help with on the SA-5? FastCargo
  11. And in that vein: Never eat anything bigger than your head. Never shoot pool at a place called Pop's. Never eat food at a place called Mom's. FastCargo
  12. Lots of stuff my friend...lots of stuff. It's a cacophony of things in various states of completion. I'm frankly amazed at how much is being worked on... FastCargo
  13. charlielima, Man, I know you really like the idea (I'd prefer an attack version of the T-6 Texan II myself)...but 2 separate threads about the same thing? Come on...don't do this kind of stuff. http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showt...mp;#entry160779 FastCargo
  14. Actually, this isn't the first time this sort of thing has happened with light aircraft (or heavy for that matter). Take a look at the configuration of both aircraft...notice anything interesting in their wing configuration? Yep, both aircraft have giant blind spots facing the other aircraft. The exact same scenario happened a few years ago in the air. You guessed it...the high wing aircraft was the bottom and the low wing aircraft was on top and never saw each other. I could see it happening. FastCargo
  15. Change it to this: AttachmentPosition001=-0.23,1.250,-0.33 AttachmentPosition002=0.23,1.250,-0.33 AttachmentPosition003=-0.23,1.250,-0.63 AttachmentPosition004=0.23,1.250,-0.63 Just cut and paste and try it. FastCargo
  16. Specify exactly how you changed the data.ini entry. And between changes, did you totally get out of the program and then come back into it? Ini changes will probably not take effect until after the program is shut down and restarted. FastCargo PS I am assuming the method you tried was this (changes in BOLD): [bombBay] SystemType=WEAPON_STATION StationID=5 StationGroupID=4 StationType=INTERNAL AttachmentPosition=0.0,1.226,-0.586 AttachmentAngles=0.0,0.0,0.0 LoadLimit=1000 AllowedWeaponClass=BOMB,EOGB,AHM,IRM AttachmentType=NATO,USN,USAF NumWeapons=4 AttachmentPosition001=-0.23,1.250,-0.33 AttachmentPosition002=0.23,1.250,-0.33 AttachmentPosition003=-0.23,1.250,-0.63 AttachmentPosition004=0.23,1.250,-0.63 DeploymentMethod=OPEN_BOMBBAY_DOOR BombBayAnimationID=8 BombBayOpenTime=1.5 BombBayCloseTime=1.5 MinExtentPosition=-0.50,1.226,-0.586 MaxExtentPosition= 0.50,1.226,-0.586
  17. Couple of things to note: 1) You cannot move the IRST pod. You CAN remove it however, and just build a new one and add it on in the 'proper' location. 2) You cannot use the pilot method to add parts that move (like wheels or pylons on wings). You can use the weapons method to do this...my EF-111 uses this method for the 'canoe'. Where the problem comes in is that the ini file is still looking for a mesh to use as a 'wheel'. So you can't remove the nose wheel, and substitute the new 'wheels'. The aircraft will crash. Now what you could do is attach a second 'wheel' to the original 'wheel' by making the original 'wheel' a moveable pylon as well as the nose gear. This might work, depending if the engine will let you double designate a mesh (as a 'wheel' and as a 'pylon'). FastCargo
  18. Nice work...I like the idea of a 'smoky' AB effect. Anyway, look forward to your release when you're ready there CB. FastCargo
  19. You missed the point of the post. It's called by a name, not by a designation by those who operate it. My point was, most pilots call their aircraft by it's name (official or otherwise), not by it's designation. There are exceptions...but they are rare. Huns, Voodoos, The Deuce, Rhinos, Thuds, Zippers, BUFFs, Vipers, Eagles, Hornets...names...not numbers and letters on a spreadsheet. FastCargo
  20. I disagree somewhat. Now, like with anything else, people can go overboard. With that being said, I think combat aircraft should get a name...official or otherwise. A lot of times, the name can evoke images or feelings toward an aircraft (good or bad). Something that rolls off the tongue...and doesn't sound sanitary like an alphanumeric designation. That's why were here, right? Because we enjoy the feel (even simulated) of flight? Bean-counters call it a B-1B. Pilots call it a Bone, because that's what it does to you after it rips over your head at 200 feet, beyond Mach 1, the wall of air distorting light , leaving a smashed trail like God's own finger, whipping up dust and debris in a thunderstorm of fury...just before the sound and heat of four F101s putting out 30000lbs of thrust each drive your eardrums through the other side of your skull. Then the eighty-four 500 pound bombs that it just puked out in 2 seconds arrive on your head... FastCargo
  21. Hey Wags (and Caesar as a side benefit), Glad you got it fixed...never say the USAF can't help the Marines every once in a while... Interesting info to know about the early Hornets...thanks for posting that stuff. I'm sure other people smarter than me can use that kind of first hand experience... FastCargo
