  3. Thanks for the Christmas present! I got them to work just fine as long as they were in the main terrain folder, they didnt show if left in each indivual sub folder. Check out the 84S object, its size in-game seems more like a Mk83 1000lb when compared side by side with the 84L object ? Hurc

File Name: Hurc's Nellis Range Mod File Submitter: hurc File Submitted: 11 January 2012 File Category: SF2 Series Add On Terrains ***This is a replacement for the previous version 1.0*** This is a modification to the original bombing range to make the home base airfield a likeness of Nellis AFB and take advantage of some of the new Hi-Res Desert textures now available. It also includes some of the objects from the Mescalero Proving Grounds range made By ChampionsVA56. Nellis AFB is located alot farther South on the map that the original base was. This should eliminate getting aggressor A/C right over Nellis as you take off. A few drone and aggressor Aircraft are included in this download. You'll see these flying around the range, and parked at the Range Airfield. All weapons have been removed, or they are equiped with training missles so they won't hurt you. Only hostile aircraft with a "NationName=RANGE" or "AGRS" will show up on this terrain. A modified version of the NATIONS.INI file has been included. It is the stock file with the "RANGE" and "AGRS" nations added. You need the "RANGE" nation defined if you want the drone's showing up and need the AGRS nation for the Aggressor A/C. Provided your other terrains have their "LimitedNations" setup, you won't see the drones's or Aggressor A/C anywhere except the Range. A modified version of the SQUADRONLIST.INI is included with the USAF Thunderbirds squadron added. The bombing range targets use the layout of the Mescalero Proving Grounds range and the drones and Aggressor A/C use its runway to launch and recover. Note: the target area that was known as the Warehouse Targets is now Friendly and is a called the Range Control Facility. When you choose to do a Close Support mission, your tanks will be lined up defending it from the enemy tanks. One thing that is a "feature" not a bug, is that you will have Friendly A/C spawning from Nellis, sometimes right when you are, as Escort or SEAD flights.   5. Soulfreak is on the right path, but you will need the full install as well as the patch above. The mods shown above are actually ones created by Piecemeal I believe. I wish somebody would create the LKW big trucks, that's a Unimog in camo.

  8. Yes Soulfreak, Faked bases is how I got different type a/c to generate as parked, but its got a catch. If your terrain has multiple friendly bases spaced around the map it will populate those as well as your main base, but doesn't populate the fake base that's sitting at the same spot as your main base. Nellis only works because ALL of the players bases are at the same spot as Nellis (one real base and several fake). My tests with the DS mod had either game generated a/c at the main base parking spots or the fake base parking spots, but never both at the same time. Maybe somebody else has found a way to do it. Of course we can always just have more statics made by the 3d modders, ;)
  9. It has been on the back burner cause I got distracted with a Korean War Airbase Mod when all the new KAW planes were being made available. I do plan to release it eventually.
  10. I had to get my Korean Era CVs from the A-Team site, the one in the KAW Misc is a Zuhio mod. The A-team has the CVE-105, USS Commencement Bay Class as well as the CV-14 or CVA-34 Essex Straight deck class.
  11. Does anyone know what .ini you can edit to control default fleet ship positions ? In my Korea mod I tend to just get 1 or 2 escorts for the CV.

  15. My Tomcats are showing up in the LargeParking spots, maybe its their wingspan ? So on my merged installs I can see Tomcats as well as F-15s or Cargo types and F-15s etc, but never 3 types yet (Nellis excluded) Hurc

    HURC'S SF2V AIRFIELD REBUILD MOD 1.1 This mod is was inspired by "Piecemeals Airfield mod to complement Stary's Green Hell3 mod for SF2V". Thanks Piecemeal, Stary and all you other crazy modders! Thanks TK! I basically rebuilt the airfields on both sides with new objects and layouts. I wanted to make them so that you will not find allied equipment on an enemy airfield, or at least not enough to notice. I didn't think you should see USAF type revetments on a Russian designed and Chinese built airfield such as those in North Vietnam. Many of the same terrain objects that Piecemeal used are still included and along with new ones that were not yet created at the time of his mods release. Good Hunting! Steve "Hurc" Crane
  21. I figured out the SEAD mission crash issue - there are no AAA or SAM units in the targets.ini, only mockup objects, and the game engine doesnt see them as SEAD worthy or something like that. This will be fixed in an upcoming patch, but you can fix it by changing the bofors mockup entries in the targets.ini to AAA or SAM as you like. Any AAA or SAM units that you assign to the Range nation in their respective userlist.ini should then show up. Obviously they will start shooting back at you unless you disarm them with an inert weapon or remove their weapons. Hurc
  22. FYI to all: I saw report of SEAD mission crashing SF2 when on the Nellis_Range and tried it. Sure enough, SF2 goes not responding. Tried it in a stock Red Range terrain, no problems ? See if it does the same for you and let me know if you find a cause or fix. Thanks, Hurc
