  1. if you look at my F-4E AUP picture above i made a complette new HUD and that is exactly the problem because the new HUD is no longer at the position of the old F-4 HUD i did have exactly the same problem with the F-16 cockpits when i made them and i think we moved the entyre cockpit downward and i try this with the AUP cockpit and end up with a possition that i can see the glare shield from above i thing this two pictures makes it a bit more clear what i mean the standard cockpit with the HUD and the new AUP cockpit in making , as you can see the new AUP HUD has moved way moore up as the old one , now i have to get all the HUD data to move up as well with out loosing the gener cockpit view , if i let the HUD data where they are you end up having part of the displayed data below the HUD as you can see in the final picture @ SuperGen , the file is on the way to you this is now the result if i move the entyre cockpi by 2,5cm in 3ds max , the data are where they supposed to be inside the HUD but the upper mirror is now much more down and the right glare shield is now visible from above (and yes i have changed the part to minimize the effect) an other side effect is that the side panels become less visible
  2. i know i´m able to move some items but the Horizont_line and the HUD_AttitudeBars are not movable
  3. could somebody with skills in avionics modding help me please i try to adopt the F-16C avionics for the F-4E AUP and in principle it is working , the problem is that the HUD is in an other position than on the F-16C so i try to adjust the HUD-settings and i could move the display area but i´m not able to move all the items that are displayed there so no matter what i try this parts are staying in there position as if they are nailed to it , so please if somebody knows how to adjust this settings could help me here please send me a pm and i send you the aircraft folder or are this items not movable ???? do i have to move the cockpit ???? F-16C HUD all items are centered F-4E_AUP HUD , display area is moved up but everything else remain in the original position
  4. i´m searching for that part but i dont find a thing , i have now pictures for the HUD and the main panel but still nothing for the side panels if i´m not finding any picture that show some detail of that part i may just go and make the side panels for normal F-4E i found this one here but unfortunately no textures are assigned to it and the left side panel will be like this here , it is almost the same as the RF-4E layout that i´m using

  8. the easy way is to assign a texture to the part but to do that you need the max file @.Martin , do you have the max file for the cockpit ????
  9. that is exactly what i mention above , all surfaces that are not assigned with any texture will show up black , at least in theory
  10. that is only the glareshield and on my game it shows "correct" in black , are you using nvidia or AMD graphic board ??? if you have all skins in your cockpit folder than the only thing i could think of is that the glareshield has no texture assigned , what would normaly results in SF2 that it shows up black there are some other cockpits with that issue , i dont remember the name of the thread but somebody else reportet a similar thing
  11. i only make some small parts the overall project is with JAT81500 and CadeteBRA , so my workload is not that big with that project

  13. if you applied the latest TW-patch the ini´s in the F-4 aircraft folder have changed to the latest TW level and the mods will not work correct anymore !!! for this case all the aircraft folder that will be affected include a backup_ini , so just open you affected aircraft folder and replace the ini´s with the backup_ini you will find there just copy and paste the backup_ini and change the name by removing the " - BACKUP " from the ini´s name problem should be solved NOTE: always keep this original backup ini´s in this folder you may need them from time to time regards volker

  16. not necessarily , it happen on the swiss hunter after a patch update befor there was no problem , i´m not realy sure if it was a typo or something else in the gear entry but if there is a hide gear node entry i would remove it and check if the problem is still there
  17. 4 decals plus bump could be to much , did you check the texture for the fuselage ??? i have that sometimes when a texture has a typo the weapon will not show up , could be the same i dont think that it has something to do with your hardware , if so the surface of the ignored item would ratter look black i have that sometimes that the game starts and the complete terrain looks black but i have realy set everything to the max aaahhhh..... check you entrys for the landing gear ther are settings to hide the landing gear if retracted , on the swiss hunter we had that problem that the landing gear doors did disapear because of some typo there that could be the same here
  18. as far as i can see is the only part missing the fuselage section so i would recomend to look at what Wrench already suggested , check if there are more than 4 decals are applied to the fuselage and look if you have the texture for the fuselage in your skin folder and that the texture has the correct name
  19. i thing it has nothing to do with the hardware , i remember that on some cases only weapons and tanks are vissible but the fuselage would not show but i dont remember what was the cause of it we should make a list of all possible errors some body encounters so in cases like that we know how to fix it
  20. i know that some of the us-army and heeresflieger airfields did get used by the nato air forces , we had from time to time A-10´s on our airfield in laupheim (EDPM now ETHL / CH-53G) and an emergency landing of an CF-18A so i think to add the larger air fields would be ok , just the runway,apron and the hangars as far as i can remember are all heeresflieger airfields with runways the only thing missing was the arresting gear systems therefore jets did normaly not use this airfields , other fix wing aircraft like C-130 or C-160 did and on some nato exercises the A-10 or Harrier as well
  21. we could if i have more time but i have to focus on the immediate items , so probably not and if i would make the rear cockpit like i do the front cockpit you would have a real problems to get the thing working in game , the amount of poly´s would be to much i assume but could we get back to the topic , any pictures of the side panels ?????? pleeaase or can some body tell me what panel this is ???
  22. i´m reworking my RF-4E pit and make a F-4E AUP pit out of it , what i still need are pictures of the left and right side-panels i can not find any from a F-4E AUP in particular this views are what i need , this are still the RF-4E panels but i dont think that i have to change alot any help is welcome , if you have some high detail pictures of cockpit instruments or side-panels please send them over
