Bought the original SFP1 when it came. Same day EB got it for sale. Went to TW for more info. Followed link to BioHaz. Don't think I joined until it merged with CA. Wemt on to play IL2 for several years, now back with the TK series.

Sorry, I though I had read that 2 or 3 were put out of service to keep the rest in service. Absolutely no slight intended on the Collins class, they are outstanding when properly handled as you have shown.

Gentlemen and women, I can't speak for the Aussie navy and my experience is twenty plus years old. However sub skippers have made a career out of PC. Competion is extremely high for a boat command (Aussie navy only has two or three boat operational I believe, some one correct me if I am wrong). The boat skipper has had perfect evals for a decade or better. Ours had to go through Nuke school also. I am sure that my skippers would hit a stripper bar in a instance. They would not be in uniform and would not talk about it except to fellow officers. They would never talk to a reporter of any sort about any thing is not PC. Extremely unlikely that they would speak to any civilians about anything not PC.

Also agree. I cannot even imagine one of my skippers making a remark like that. They have 15 to 20 years experience by this time. If one of my skippers had made a remark like this, he would have lost command of his boat immediately. End of career.

Spent 3 years on a boomer, SSBN632 Von Steuben. Went out for months at time, just imitating a hole in the ocean. Every time we went out, we were on war status. Very boring most of the time.

It seems in the US Navy, that is normal to pull all your wisdoms. I got 3 pulled when I was in boot camp in 81. My son just got 4 pulled last month in A school. The dentist did not seem to have a budget with the novacaine, I got a full syringe per tooth and my son tells me it was about the same for him. He did get one dry socket, I didn't have any problems.
