  1. <Darth Vader> Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo....... <Darth Vader>
  2. I went to double click the SF2:NA EXE and it said Unable to Execute, the File has been locked. raahahahaha, just kidding.
  3. Nooooooo wayyyy... TK wouldnt lock anything away from us... come on TK, Lights... On... Ships....
  4. I bought Oblivion less than 1 hour before it went 60% off one saturday, bought it in the morning so it would download to my brother's system while we were at hockey practice, came back and found out a 66% off sale started less than a hour after I bought it.
  5. i blame Umbrella
  6. its like newegg shopping, you buy something then 2 days later its got a instant savings for $50 bucks.. haha.
  7. the wavs are locked in the CATs but putting modified ones in the flight folder take priority over the ones in the Cat.
  8. I installed everything (Base Components, Expansions), then Copied/Extracted every CAT to a separate folder for safe keeping. Then patched up. Might be easier to just: 1. Backup and Rename your current /users/SavedGames/Thirdwire folder (so installers don’t over write what you have). 2. Install everything SF2, SF2V, SF2E, SF2 I, SF1 Exp1, SF2 Exp2 to a custom folder (x:/Thirdwire/OldSF2/) 3. Copy the entire game to a new folder or just copy all the cat files 4. Install the Cat Extractor for that version’s CATs into a custom folder (x:/Thirdwire/OldCatExtracter/) 5. Copy the Files to the same folder as the “unpatched” install. 6. Zip/Rar them for Safe Keeping, or if you need them frequently just keep them safe. 7. Re-Instate your Modded /Saved Games/Thirdwire/ folder. 8. Resume using your Patched up SF2 installs.
  9. the desert terrain and campaign that goes with it. AFAIK most if not all the jets in SF2 are in the other versions.
  10. well another thing keeping from playing SF2 besides my GPU being RMA'd my X52 bit the dirt in the last few days, when fully connected it blinks, none of the stick inputs work, but the throttle buttons and axis do, I guess the PS/2 cable or connector went bad.?
  11. im pretty sure eagle dynamics will only host modules that are QA tested.
  12. a few adjustments in max and i was able to export 2 planes that i had modeled for SF2 to DCS's format. now the Flight Model and systems part... i dunno
  13. if they are locked they wont show. i had extracted every voice, wind loop, engine sound, gun sound, explosion sound from the cat less than 2 months ago.
  14. the changes that occurred at SimHQ would have taken place regardless of CombatAce's status.
  15. My mama didnt raise no snitch... roflmao
  16. every patch disables or hard code's parameters that were normally mod-able, which is whats perterbing a lot of people. and most of the locking seems to have been done because: A. The game engine wasnt designed to or capable of running the parameters without heavy modification (which causes issues) B. Too many people with laptops had issues with it even on low settings. The fact that TW is going "Mobile" is no surprise to me, as they've been catering to Laptop and Low end users since SFP1.
  17. He didnt ride in on the horse.... its dead. Combat Ace goes down, SimHQ closes 3W forum, then makes it Read Only, CombatAce returns, 3W forum is back... If i didnt know any better, I'd say... ............... But i know whats going on at SimHQ, so it was just bad timing.
  18. DCS and LoMAC are not the same animal, DCS World, once fully deployed and out of Beta, will have 3rd party Modules (Jets) being released faster than FSX Did. every module will be pretty much Study Sim Level of Detail.
  19. I’ve Run Thirdwire Titles on: Strike Fighters Project One ATi All in Wonder Radeon 7500, w/ 32MB of Ram) Wings Over Vietnam, Wings Over Europe ATi All in Wonder Radeon 9600XT w/ 128 MB of Ram) SFP1, WoV, WoE, and Wings Over Israel eVGA 8800 GTS SSC G80 w/ 640 MB Ram SF2: eVGA 8800 GTS SSC G80 w/ 640 MB Ram Sapphire AMD HD7950OC w/ 3GB of Ram
  20. Since i cant really play SF2 with this backup GPU i've been working on some things, Long story short, Im trying to use an Emitter as a Point Light, Right now I can place them, but Im having trouble with the Material/Texture. When in game, the single TGA Particle flickers between 3 sizes, and the TGA does not show up correctly in the game. now, I know how to make a transparent TGA, but it seems since switching to my new system, photo shop no longer wants to do that, every TGA is either a White square or not transparent and faded. so, what photoshop setting can cause a 32-bit TGA to lose transparency? also, the Emmitter side, how can I get the single Particle TGA to remain steady (no flickering). and is there a way to control the spread of the lightsource without having to make it insanely bright? once i get back to my PC i'll post the emmitter and material settings I have and a video.
