  3. O_o, i just gave TK an extra chunk of change, used the rest of my tax return to Re-Buy all the SF2 Series (well a 2nd Set) + Expansions 1 and 2 + Campaign Customizer :p. for my new system.

  6. i have the steerman and that other plane, the ion 5 or whatever, it got boring after about 1 hour, of the same things, its like Test Drive Unlimited for Flight without the planes.
  7. seeing as each cat has its own number, i'd say its a ini edit, and not a merged 3d model, as it would require separate skins for each aircraft.
  8. Beta testers were offered a copy of the Gold Title... He Shipped me WoV (Gen 1) in Mini Box before switching to Direct Download and cutting out the publishers, which have screwed him over more times than I can count.

  15. the water shader might transfer to the new terrains, but i seriously dont know if TW has the time or funds to go back and re-do V,I,E, and D terrains.
  16. AMD 7950 outperforms the 580s, uses less power and is cheaper.

  19. is Thirdwires Spec/Bump maps the same as most other Games? im able to use BMPs (and even JPGs), for bump and spec map in other games i mod for. In 3ds Max, for bump maps, i use black & white mappings, where grey would be 0, black would be negative height, white would be positive height, for spec maps, i use black & white mappings, where white is 100% specular, black is 0% specular. the other games i mod for read these correctly with some minor adjustments. ie..base grey background, panel lines would be black, rivets would be white. Bare Metallic areas would be white, while painted areas black/dark grey. i think i tried exporting Spec and bump maps on one of my models to TW's engine and it didnt work, dont remember..
  20. because parked Aircraft are positioned by Parent node movement and not the tire collision mesh.. Where a normal 3d model has the scene's 0,0,0 at the aircraft's C.O.G. parked AC have 0,0,0 of the 3d Model moved so that Height 0.0 is touching the gears, problem is that not all the gears have the same amount suspension movement so when the plane is set up level in 3ds max, with gears down, the gears are not all the same length, so unless the 3dmodel is tilted forward in max and re-exported, its not fixable. the gear's suspension is correct, as the Tomcat nose comes down during catapult launches. The model needed to be tilted forward and adjusted in max so all 3 gears touch the 0.0m Plane at Z-Axis.
  21. BareMetal, w/ Bump and Specular Mapping! later this week the last of my new system arrives, and i start migrating my programs to the new system.. so if you want some people to do some liveries... no biggie.
  22. Well.. its official... Im Bored... wondering if the SF2 V,E,I,Exp1,Exp2 engines will be patched to the same code level......
