Luthier believes in the rise of sea level due to global warming and back-projected it to 1940??

Don't forget the squeal from the TV speaker like a down-modulated fax/modem call that lasted all that time....

Officer shot dead on board submarine HMS Astute

Alleged!! Alleged!! You forgot "alleged"!! -
Apparently some can: Tel Aviv University professor and noted military analyst Reuven Pedatzur argues that Iron Dome "is all a scam ... The flight-time of a Kassam rocket to Sderot is 14 seconds, while the time the Iron Dome needs to identify a target and fire is something like 15 seconds. This means it cannot defend against anything fired from fewer than five kilometers; but it probably couldn't defend against anything fired from 15 km (9 mi)., either." Pedatzur concludes that the massive disparity in the cost of the Iron Dome missiles ($100,000) and the typical Kassam rocket ($5) (his cost estimates) means that the Iron Dome "issue has no logic to it whatsoever."

Someone was either unstable or incompetent (if it was accidental). -
My contract is paid thru May 31, so this will have to last some time for me to be shut out. Of course, I'm shut out one way or the other come Oct 1 when our portion of the contract is in-sourced. Sigh.

Well, except Falcon 3. And Falcon 4.

What if the character was originally named Jenkins, then Lucas saw him...

ST was, but it went off the air how many years ago now? 6? -
Exactly like the US, Korea, Finland, and Germany.

Hmm. Did you uninstall the game, reinstall it, then uninstall it again, delete the directory, sacrifice a rubber Ju-87 to the simming gods, and then reinstall? It's not guaranteed to work until you follow those steps. Oh, and reinstall Windows.

Considering all the gang problems you have down there I'm actually surprised it didn't happen sooner. It's like while the streets were less safe, the schools were safer.

Yes, but I didn't recall that, so my statement stands.

Well, BF2 is an old game now, so it better run well! As for Homefront, it looks to be another lame excuse for an SP side just to justify the MP component which I'm guessing they think will be the next CoD or MoH...even though it obviously will not be.

I've only seen him one other time I can recall. He was one of the 2 Army intelligence guys talking to Jones and Marcus at the start of Raiders of the Lost Ark. Since that was 1936 he's certainly long dead by now.

Chuck Norris ate the fuel rods in Three Mile Island to prevent a meltdown and he's fine.

LOL, there is no such thing as American SF anymore, it's all been filmed in Canada for the last 15 years! Chances are if you see someone on an episode of one series you'll see them on another. Rewatching SG-1, SG Atlantis, DS9, Voyager, BSG...I keep seeing the same guest stars over and over. -
I've not heard an F-35 yet, but the AV-8B has to be the loudest single-engine plane without an AB I've ever heard. The loudest 4-engine plane I've heard so far: DC-8. Puts the B-1 to shame.

Well, his talk about the "revised" method of expansion packs makes it seem like that's indeed what he will be doing. It will basically be one new flyable (eg the Mirage F1) and some new AI and some other stuff. As for how many planes come with ICE stock, it's SPAD XIII, Fokker D.VII, Nieuport N.28, Albatros D.Va, Fokker DR. 1, Pfalz D.IIIa, S.E.5a, Sopwith Camel, and a bonus plane. That plane depends on where you buy the game from. So if it's from Amazon it's one thing, Gogamer another, etc. It's on their site, just go to riseofflight.com and look. That's nine planes out of the box, which is a pretty good selection. Unlike other sims which have lots of AI-only "filler planes" modeled to a lower fidelity, ROF chose to go with the "every plane flyable" route. The one exception was the DFW and Breguet which appeared as AI well before they were made flyable. The DFW now is, the Breguet will be out soon. That means by necessity of that choice that there are fewer planes to fight with or against, and the planeset is certainly biased towards late-war vs early. Whether you want to call this a negative depends on your POV. The AI is very good and deadly, although they have one quirk that bugs me...the "dive for the deck" tactic. It reminds of EAW's old "split S when he's on your six" move the AI always did. I don't mind the AI doing it sometimes, but they ALWAYS do it, no matter if they start above you, the same altitude, or below. If they're attacking you, they'll go after you where you are, but as soon as you're behind them they make diving turns to get away, so inevitably furballs wind up on the deck, although in small engagements you can keep it up high. I personally would've given ICE a lower score, maybe an 8.5, but that's a personal opinion and I can't say it's because anything in the review was wrong. It's just because everyone personally will give greater or lesser weight to a given fact. Some people care more about the scope, some care more about the AI, some care more about the flight/damage/weapons modeling, some care about the environments, and so on. You can easily have a group of 5 people agree on everything that is or isn't there and come up with wildly different scores based on what is more important to them. It's no different from a movie review.

As mentioned, the microwave should not be the sole cooking instrument unless you're just making a frozen dinner or reheating leftovers, and even then it's better used for getting the frost out and heating it conventionally. We have a small convection oven that gets a lot more use than the microwave. It's not as fast, but it's still faster than stove or oven and it can cook fast as well as make it crisp and/or brown versus rubbery.

I'm afraid that story is contradictory! If she's well-known, than by default you WOULD have heard of her. The fact that you've not means she's not THAT well-known after all, and that explains why she was keen on having you know who she is. There are 2 types of actors: those who want to be known more, and those who are too well-known for their comfort. She was obviously one of the former and was hoping that since you didn't know her face, you would know her name. When you didn't know that either, she wanted to be sure you knew what she did in the hopes that you would spread the story so she'd become better known. A lot of hiring in Hollywood is done on name recognition...if they can hire someone people recognize it can draw viewers, and if that person is on the rise it means they don't cost as much as they might be worth. -
WTF is with this all this "future" talk? It was a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away!!! You all get your citizenship revoked!!

I'd love to see a formation pic of that plus a Bone!

Yeah, they don't bother with writing there after installation. Well, at least TIR does. I don't know a thing about Saitek!

The stock plane DMs in CFS3 were indeed stupid, with things like control cables given a 60% chance of being damaged! The Firepower addon and 1% 3rd party planes were far better and made the game quite playable, even if the DX7-class graphics made it dated looking from its release.
