I swear that Youtube can be a real magnet for the STUPID. Legions upon legions of nitwits infest that place. There is this one Youtube post that has some excellent color gun camera footage from P-51 sweeps over the Japanese home islands during the final 5 months of the war. This one idiot argues that the footage is all faked in a studio and another (same one maybe) says that planes didn't have cameras in the wings back then. Well gee whiz and I thought I knew EVERYTHING about WW2 planes Get this - another fool asked about how the cameraman managed to stay on the wings without FALLING OFF. Craigster

For me the F-86F Sabre, Hawker Hunter, Mystere IVa and the MiG-15. The early Cold War era jets are fascinating. The Sabre with it's incredibly sleek lines and WW2-style armament and the others with their HUGE cannon. If this is boiled down further, then it would be a tie between the Sabre and the elegant Hunter.

Yes it did. Also the white lights on the trailing edge of the vertical stab pulsed in unison with the red one (they pulsed instead of flashing). The red light casing had two bulbs inside of it. I remember climbing up onto the jets backbone and shuffling carefully up to it. Changed many of those things during countless swing-shifts on the flightline. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/comm...I_in_flying.jpg (347th TFW) The Phantoms were still painted just like this example when I arrived at Moody during the summer of 1982. Ironically, the Phantom in this shot was at Moody as well and if I remember correctly, it was the Wing Commanders jet. You can see the red anti-collision light just below the so-called 'bellows' probe. Man this brings back memories! Craigster

My first jet I crewed in the USAF (summer 1982) was 69-356. The aircraft was an F-4E Phantom II and I was the Assistant Dedicated Crew Chief. Was kinda cool to see my name and rank stenciled on the rear canopy rail right side. Stationed at Moody AFB Valdosta, GA May 1982 - Feb 1984.

It's the Camel and not the CamelF1 that I have an issue with. I fly a mission with this aeroplane and when the mission is over, I hit ESC to end it and my PC freezes up. Any solutions to this problem? Never happens with any other plane so far. Just this one. Camel is flown on normal FM, too.
