its worth it...you can with some slight work bring some of the sf1 stuff into sf2 also..

if cutting bits like cockpit or windows,I cut polys to shape,roughly,then edit them by moving vertices and cutting adding edges,etc to form the frames , delete or move bits till ur happy its ok then cut glass or frames and glass out etc. see pics...2nd picmade fuselage shape ,when happy then I moved vertices to roughly the profile I wanted,then cut \added edges etc to make look better then when done,cut out glass,and added more cuts to ad mre edges\polys to make glass smoother and not blocky edges...good thing this way is the extra vertical edges arent attached to fuselage,as the edges were already in place I just eall dvided the larger polys. 1st pic smoothed when happy how it was. click to enlarge

Hunters.....Bf110-C on hunt..... Took me ages to figure why the engines wouldnt work....tried allsorts...I had forgotten to add fuel...lolz...NOOOOOOOB... got a few minor bugs to sort...actually in game the model is perfect....only thing was wrong apart from the fuel is wheel on port rotates wrong way...wing end on stbd need mapping adjusted a tad...and weaps sorted...

There isnt really a limit...except on meshes...TK said..all he says which makes sense is all that limits poly count is pc its run on...high spec and ur fine..

When 1st looked at su-34 ..the gears put me off as too much work just on making them and animating them...night mare....Ive got to do the gears on the Douglas destroyer they are crazy too.

looking good..nose lumpy ?ed try making fuselages from boxes...and meshsmooth rather than turbosmooth....heres a rectangle (green)right and cylinder.....cyl turbosmoothed and box with meshsmooth quads...you get a better finish....and not so many lumpy areas...also the green box is lower poly count...nearly half.

I try...lol...only use viewer to do align decs etc....doing the decs for this and altering stock skins to be able to use decals..so can release it..

some reason decs go weird...took ages trying to see what wrong...turns out nothing...seems lod viewer having a bad day weird....decs fine in game..

All British Airways 747`s are being scrapped...apart from one or two.....sign of the times...crazy...sad to see these iconic birds go...
