    The answer

Does Nicky want to see FC covered only in body paint?
  2. Cocas, Sounds great. And thanks for the reminder about the pilot trick. Off to fly. I'll look for it when I land. Thanks again! Jeff
  3. Don't worry about painting it. I'll match it to the grey the BUFF is in. As for mounting, I'm hoping to treat it as a weapon and place it as a non-jettisonable weapon in between the LITENING pod and the wing. Jeff
  4. Michael, As a father of a 10 year old boy, I applaud your efforts on this mod. I hope to share it with my son upon my return later this summer. Thanks! Jeff
  5. LLTV and FLIR are the two undernose mounted "eyes". The targeting pod is mounted on a station in between the engine pods on the right or left wing.
  6. Thanks Cocas. No, it's the pylon the LITENING pod (round thing in between engines) is attached to.
  7. Ok, no LITENING. Thanks anyway.
  8. Yes, me also. Maybe even the MC-130E Combat Talon I. I spent 4 years working on both aircraft. Great times.
  9. Ironically, Valparaiso, Niceville, Destin, and the other towns surrounding Eglin and Hurlburt only exist because of Eglin AFB. Many of the people who live there, are retirees. The base has been there since the 30s. The towns have built right up to the approach/departure corridors to the runways and then have the nerve to gripe about noise. Amazing. The house I own right now, I bought because it was close to my base. I see and hear my jets fly over all the time. Granted it's not F-15s, but 4 CFM-56s make a nice roar going over.
  10. Congrats on the new addition.
  11. Yeah, you missed out.
  12. Eric, I've got my sounds set like so: 16bit 1 Channel (mono) 11kHz I've seen 22kHz work also. Jeff
  13. Hey all, I'm working on the B-52H and I'd like to add the LITENING III to the left wing. Any of you 3D Max gurus have one that will work? Here is a good pic of one. BUFF with LITENING PM me please. Thanks!

  15. I'm looking forward to trying this one out. Thanks!
  16. If you can score some pics of your own. Please do so.

    TCM Rulez!

You would think that AFN (Armed Forces Network) would show similiar movies on a day such as this, but no... The spouses can't go without their soaps.
  18. Yep. Why are your glove vanes pointed down from the intakes?
  19. Due to severe budget cuts and downsizing, there will be no additional aircraft available for quite some time. Sorry for the inconvenience.
  20. Typhoid and Vampyre will know for sure, but the AIM-54 was a fleet defense weapons to be used against non maneuvering bomber formations. Because of weight issues, you would only see a full load of Phoenix for photo ops. From what I've seen and read over the years, a mix of 4 AIM-7s and 4 AIM-9s or 6 Sparrows and 2 Sidewinders was a common war load. If you look at photos of intercepts, you see one, maybe two Sparrows and a single AIM-9. MATS the F-14 site The link above is an excellent source of Tomcat info. -S P.S. The Iranian Air Force claims several fighter kills with the Phoenix. But you need to take those with a grain of salt since records are not freely available. Tom Cooper's book on the subject is a consideration, but I cannot be 100% sure of the accuracy.
  21. I like the dark grey skin. Thanks. It reminds me of the HAVE GLASS mod on the F-16s. -S

    Great Toon

I loved that cartoon. I don't remember it being called the Yamato. I thought it was the Argo or something like that. 35 years... Is it on DVD somewhere?
