Mirage 5F cockpit made in 2007 by Olivier ANGUILLE (RIP) Read README.txt contained in the file for the details. The Mirage Factory
  2. A pic in the screenie thread reminde dme of a small range scale mod I made a while ago for the Smerch radar. Move the textures smerch_radar25.zip into the cockpit folder Edit the avionics ini, add/replace existing entries with the data below: [TextureData] RadarTexture=cockpit\smerch_radar25.bmp RWRTexture=cockpit\rwr.bmp ;RadarTextureSize=256 RangeTexture[1]=cockpit\Radar_range1.tga RangeTexture[2]=cockpit\Radar_range2.tga RangeTexture[3]=cockpit\Radar_range3.tga [AvionicsData] AvailableModes=SEARCH,ACQUISITION,TRACK,BORESIGHT RangeUnit=KM RangeSetting[1]=30 RangeSetting[2]=60 RangeSetting[3]=120 StartRangeSetting=2 This change makes the selected range scale visible, the selected scale is shown in the top center of the radar scope.
  3. The TW F-14 VDI is basically a 2nd HUD with some extra functions for display purposes. Ive not looked into that thing any closer yet. Only noticed that the VDI_SteeringTee entry has the same typo like the one for the HUD : OnlyWithRadarMissileS=TRUE Missing the S
  4. ooo Ant tackling the TSR.2 ... I could spice up some Jaguar avionics for the vanilla TSR.2, if you like...
  5. I used an old WOE tanking msn file (RAF F4 tanker by comrpnt) and made a quick conversion...tanker speed is too low And the C-135F's we have has no basket extension, unfortunately ... but it was some good formation flying anyway
  6. View File SF2_F-4E_Austere_HUD F-4E_75_AHUD (Austere HUD) mod The real Austere HUD modification has been tested on F-4E 68-0304 during 1974-76. The goal was to have a better sight display, primarily for air to air combat. Further modifications were made to the radar for a quicker boresight lock-on and new dogfight scan modes. The Austere HUD modification remained a F-4E test and didnt went into production aircraft or upgrades. Ive re-created the Austere HUD, using the TW F-4E_75 (required for the mod to work). Ive used the Wraparound desert skin for stock F-4E by amariani http://combatace.com/files/file/12057-wraparound-desert-skin-for-stock-f-4e/ for a quick "make it fly" setup (we dont have a proper Edwards Test Unit white with red trimmings skin) The real Austere HUD was a test setup, so its no problem to add/remove readouts to the HUD modes to ones personal liking. 8. Different way of showing the sights in the two examples. The F-8 is using the "standard" SF method where the fixed reticle is a part of the gunsight system The MiG-21 has the fixed reticle painted onto a tga texture which is part of the cockpit lod... I think thats a "leftover" from the early SFP1 days , pre-TW F-8 when there was no support for the combination of fixed and moving reticles. And the basic MiG-21 cockpit mod (by Magoo/Paladrian) dates back to the pre-TW F-8 days ... IIRC. Theres a way to make a standard SF sight setup for the MiG-21 but its not a 3-min job, takes more like 30 and requires hiding and resizing/repainting stuff ... except if someone has done it already.
  9. VE-110 (old dev pic) in a Mirage 5PA (after early-80s avionics upgrade)
  10. Ive posted several MiG-21 cockpit ini related tweakes some time ago in this thread
  11. Only the B-8V20 and B-8M (the green and metal pods shown together) afaik.
  12. More like "some time" after finding out whats going on when they had some $$$ for the fix :D
  13. The modified ARN-101 jets retained the wonderful ASG-26 sight, it was still used with the digital modifications but with some new modes like CCIP which gave plenty of trouble since there was a conversion error with radar ranging from feet to metric (or something in that direction, cant recall details atm) which gave aweful bombing results. So no change for the look through the windshield :D
  14. If they are going for a late E model, its probably some early-to-mid 80s ARN-101 DMAS modified jet Which comes with all the fun tools, TISEO, CCIP, AGM-65, Pave-anything and such stuff :D
  15. For these: http://combatace.com/files/file/15458-sf2-ww2-mto-tomahawk-iib-raf-pack/ http://combatace.com/files/file/15455-sf2-ww2-avg-flying-tigers-tomahawk-pack-v2/ http://combatace.com/files/file/15451-sf2-ww2-pto-p-40bc-tomahawk-usaac-pack/ and other (older) mods of the B/C type Update data ini for .50 cal nose guns to 380 rounds each add the line Synchronized=TRUE to both nose gun sections the four wing guns to 490 rounds each ~

  16. I concur with N's assessment, also because "AI QUAD" probably means Air Intercept (radar) Quadrant
  17. Old Cyborg X stick and have the thrust vector input on the 2nd throttle, no problems.
