That was awesome! Just simply awesome. Thank you.

I don't need to be reminded, I am part of it everyday. I may not be a trigger puller however my missios gets those guys they equipment they need to do that mission. Or when I was in AWAC's and they forward deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan getting the ground the guys the airstrikes and CAS they needed. Even though my mission in the USAF is to fly fight and win, the guys on the ground are the most important and those guys are my heroes. Anyway we all simulate this stuff and this is good footage of something we are interested about. Lets not rip it to pieces because of the moral implications. Its a f***ing good gun kill. UP That is a classic sign I love it.

Right on SE. I have also wondered how many kills the Navy missed because of not having a gun. I am sure many a fighter pilot will tell you that knowing they had a gun just in case made them feel alot better. I wonder how many F-4E drivers were out of missiles but got back in the fray to save someone knowing the gun was there. This is why we will always have a gun on our planes or have the ability to carry a gunpod worthy of A2A engaging.

And that living soul was the enemy. So too bad for him. I have no sympathy for the enemy at all. I can care less about their family etc. If they tables were turned he would of tried to kill me. So please don't try to put a moral spin on it all. We all know war is bad but I'm not about to get all wishy washy about it. This was a good gun kill.

That a good place for Mig-17's too, getting raked by 20mm cannon fire.

With Israeli Air Force short on recce aircraft because of the protracted war losses they asked the USAF to assist in make sure the Soviets were not supplying the Egyptian air force with medium to long range bombers. The ingress in was uneventful with a few pot shots at me from AAA sites. Our EC-121 called out a couple Migs on patrol and they seemed to get a vector on us but we kicked in both cans and they didnt have a chance to even get a visual. We expected all hell to break loose but not a single SAM was fired. We got over the target, and took our pictures. We left the area in a hurry where some more Migs were hanging around but again our speed kept them at bay. We were feet wet about 25 mins later. With the base in site we were able to breathe better. The film was rushed to the lab and we got a great shot of the airfield. The lab crew blew up the pictures and I eye spied with my little eye nice new shiny Tu-16's. We all know Badgers are not native Egypt. The Russians have some explaining to do. I wonder what the UN securty council will have to say this?

SF2V / WOV Air & Ground Expansion Packs
Dave replied to eburger68's topic in Mission & Campaign Building Discussion
Hey Eric, I would go through all your campaign data.ini's and in each aircraft unit needs to have STARTNUMBER=0 in them. The reason for this is to prevent planes showing up without tail numbers. A prime example is the F-111A's. After I added that to Airunit062 right under the MaxAircraft line, then tail numbers start to show up in the campaigns. Its a pain in the ass but worth the immersion factor. -
You got that right Gocad!

I am not sure where they went sir. They are just gone. I didnt erase them. Does any of the old heads have them some where?
-
Those are great. I get tired of seeing the same old skins in the sim for Migs and SU's. These will be on my download for sure.
-
Welcome to CombatAce my friend. Always good to see another sim junkie.
-
I will try to dig them up. I wonder where they went. Let them fear it! I embrace it!

I will defend eraser on this though. Its is a noble cause to help others though and more people should be like that. Just remember you can't help all of them. Help the ones close to you and it is just as good as everyone someone you don't know. I do not buy into that at all either. You are 100% right JM. Worry about yourself and not how high you can get on the social ladder. As far as social standing goes, I am not competing with anyone about anything. I don't have the time or the inclination. I am also not that self centered where I worry if I have a higher status than my neighbor. I don't care. I got my toys, I paid for them and they make me happy. I do not care if someone's got better toys. I just don't. I want to make sure my kids are taken care of, my wife is taken care of, BBQ during the summer, tip a few back and enjoy what I have and not what others have. I guess in all my ramblings I am trying to say I am going to take care of mine and not worry about everyone else, on what they do, what they have, etc. Unless it directly affects my family, then I carry on. Please do not misinterpret this as being selfish though, I do community work and I give where I can. In fact I have a couple favorite charities, one of then is Habit for Humanity and the others is Meals on Wheels. Been a part of those programs helping out for the better part of 10 years now. Great programs and if you can give your time to one of them, go for it. It's great. I like that picture UP, give me liberty or give me death.

I have to agree with Unknown Pilot. Bottom line some people have to win and some have to lose. Its life. Its not meant to be fair. But anymore today people do not want their feelings hurt so "everything" has to be equal or some poor sap with frail sensibilites will cry foul. Example of when the gay marriage in California for shot down. The people spoke and yet the pro gay marriage crowd tried to get that vote thrown out. IIRC the people said no, period, its over, you lost they won. Help thy fellow man as much as you can. I do, but I have family and they come first. Which believe it or not some has said that is even selfish. My wife and I are both military, we have 4 kids, our lives are busy. I do not always have time to ponder the plight of those less fortunate than me. Its not that I don't care but I have my life with my family. I give when I can but once again its the winners and losers to keep from using watered down words. It sucks, but there is nothing we can do but press on with our own lives and help those we can if we are able. One thing I did learn from my father was you do not have to step on anyone to get to the top.
