  1. GR, it has had that ability since at least SP3. In fact, Wpnssgt and I created threat-type and threat-mode specific RWR icons and .ini entries for the F-15C & E-model's RWR, back in the summer of 2005.
  2. Sort of....stealth works, but if the AI can "see" you at 15 KM (even at night), then it's rendered irrelevant. Using the BaseRCSModifier parameter in conjunction with a low max visibility distance enables stealth to work in a somewhat more realistic manner (then it otherwise would, had you left the visibility parameter at its default value). The only thing that "burns through" (or at least did until the last patch) was jamming. Now jamming mostly serves as a guidance system for enemy missiles
  3. Looking through the current aircraftobject.dll reveals the following parameters (which should be of interest to you) THREAT_AIR_INTERCEPT_WARNING_LIGHT THREAT_GROUND_RADAR_WARNING_LIGHT THREAT_LAUNCH_WARNING_LIGHT I would imagine that assigning said parameters to their associated warning lights in the aircraft's cockpit.ini and/or avionics.ini file would be rather simple. As to the RWR's aural tones, well, that's a pretty straight forward deal, just assign the lock and track tones as if you had a conventional RWR.
  4. The problem with the F-22 is one of how the game engine (and, in effect, the AI) interprets "detection". It does so through the "maxvisibledistance" parameter. There is no "burn through" effect for stealth at this point, it's either all on or all off. To prove my point, simply ratchet down the max visible distance value from 15000 to 1500, and watch what happens.
  5. You can change the graphics associated with the options, but you cannot add "new" options, unless provisions for them already exist in the missileobject.dll file. To see if that's the case, you'll need to open the .dll with a hex-editor, and read trough it to find the applicable entries (that is, entries and values which can be added to the weapondata.ini). Be careful when you open it , though, because if you accidentally change even a single entry, that .dll will no longer be valid, and will crash the game.
  6. FastCargo was right, the first time It's heat blur, though I'm having a helluva time keeping the effect localized to the area of the exhaust nozzle...and even then, its only visible from certain angles, and when viewed against dark backgrounds.
  7. Yes, as soon as I manage to remove the "seams". See anything else?
  8. The image below contains two custom shader FX. One is a terrain shader that gives the otherwise untouched WoI terrain in that image, a grainy "sand wave" effect. I'm interested in seeing if the sharper-eyed members of this forum can find out the second shader effect in that same image
  9. The only existing model we had for the Tu-22M (built by Tomcat74) was lost in a hard drive crash, over a year ago. A real pity, as he'd spent a lot of time on it. That's one of the many reasons we have for reminding people to regularly back up their files.
  10. Funny, I don't recall Barry Bostwick in Tron.....he was in another 80's film that I enjoy very much, though... Red Flag, the Ultimate Game.
  11. The latest Weapon Editor (For SP5 & WoI) works fine in Windows XP.
  12. Yeah, OK, whatever..............
  13. Really, F-15s shot down in real air-to-air combat? Show us the wreckage, surrounded by gleeful Syrians. Truth is, you can't, because it did not happen. The F-15 still has a perfect A2A record. You see, here in the US & the west, our free press (much as we malign it), will scandalize even the slightest hint of a government coverup, and goes absolutly ballz-to-the wall ballistic over any alleged misinformation. In short, it pretty much serves as a BS filter for government or pro-military propaganda. Notice any lack of a coverup or disinformation regarding Israeli losses during 2006 in Lebanon?
  14. Read Here: http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showtopic=12210 The Knowledge Base is a veritable fountain of knowledge....
  15. Well, for the time being, you can always change RedCrown's scripted response to this one: Speech/T1rhys003.wav Not that it will matter, as you'll simply be making her lie to you...
  16. Wow, talk about propaganda..... BTW, an F-16C holds 7000 lbs of fuel. Jet "A" weighs in at 7 lbs per US Gallon, so, 7000/7 = 1000 gallons. There are 4.546 liters per US gallon, so the internal capacity of an F-16C is 4546 liters (not 3100). Also, the F-16C's turbofan engine is much more fuel efficient than the MiG-21bis's turbojet, and has superior acceleration below 10,000 feet BALT. BTW, the Pakastanis claim that the F-16 killed BOTH MiG-23s on that incident, and that their sole F-16 loss was due to friendly fire. Or, how about the fact that over 30 Syrian MiG-23s were killed by the Israelis (between 1982 and 1985), with no losses on the Israeli side?
  17. You cannot padlock the missiles themselves, but you can padlock the site that just launched against you, by using shift+R, and often see the incoming SAM's exhaust trail.
  18. Any MiG-21bis would be badly outclassed by even an early F-16. The 21's inferior power-to-weight ratio, the slow response rate of its engine to throttle inputs, it's propensity for adverse yaw at high roll rates, and it's limited internal fuel capacity (not to mention the rather limited visibility from the cockpit of later '21 models), would all but render it a sitting duck in a dogfight against a modern opponent.
  19. No. If you want those particular missions, your only option is to merge WoV with WoE, when given the option to (during the WoE installation process).
  20. Did you save the weapondata.ini, file using the recommended version of the weapon editor (for WoI)?
  21. You need to install Bunyap's weapons pack (July '06 release) to get all the missiles for the SAM launchers.
  22. Oh no....does that also mean that SG-1 will be disbanded?
