  1. There is a triple lau-10 in the SF2V AGXP.
  2. Still forgot. Will try if I get a chance. Sorry.
  3. Surprised no one brought this up here yet: http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/4022488/Re:_Next_Belsimtek_chopper?#Post4022488 I am really excited by this. Seems like it will be a great combination of hi-tech weaponry (use of laser designation, TOWs, Hellfires, etc) but will still include some by the seat of your paints flying. And it will looks sweet in formation with the UH-1H...
  4. FYI - You don't have to uninstall SF2 to fix the problem. Actually, you don't need to ditch Avast either. I was having the same problem. However, if you go the Avast Quarantine (Virus Chest) you can find the .dll file that was removed from the SF2 folder, right click it, and select restore. There, your SF2 is fixed without reinstalling. To prevent it from happening again, make sure you have the latest version of Avast (mine just updated yesterday). Then, go into the Virus Chest (click on the Scan tab and look at the bottom right), find the .dll file, right click, and select add exclusion. No reinstall of SF2 necessary. No switching to a new anti-virus program.
  5. ... and I wish I would have done it sooner. I have been hesitant to pick this up from the start, assuming I didn't have time to learn how to fly it or blow stuff up. A simHQ member was gracious enough to give me a product key for the A-10C and P-51D a few months back. I finally started looking through the quick start guide the other night, and I'll be damned if like 90% of the stuff doesn't pretty much carry right over from F4AF/BMS (which I spent a little time with before A-10C came out and before I had kids). Sure, the terminology is a little different and the systems are modeled to a finer level of detail. But I honestly feel like I could get the jet off the ground, drop an LGB and get back to base on my first or second flight. With a 3 year old and 1 month old at home, I haven't had time yet to actually get in the cockpit and try stuff out. But I'm definitely looking forward to the chance.
  6. I just had the same issue. I was able to restore the file through the Avast virus chest, and then get SF2 to run after disabling Avast. I submitted the file to Avast to have them "evaluate" it or whatever. Annoying... first time in over a month I had a few minutes for flight simming and I spent it doing this instead... Now off to bed.
  7. I can certainly donate more often than I do - I just need a reminder. Something as simple as a monthly or quarterly donation/subscription reminder might help. You could even have a small give-away each time for those that contribute during the period (ie - DCS product key for randomly selected winner).
  8. I just gave what I could. Building off of what someone else said, maybe keep things like single aircraft or objects free, but move the BIG conversion packages (Nato Fighters, SF2V AGXP, etc...) to a subscription only download section. You'd need to keep it pretty cheap, though. Or I'd be afraid of stuff just ending up on a pirate site. You'd also have to make sure that something in a subscription only section doesn't violate any freeware agreements.
  9. Thanks for keeping this thing alive and up to date, Eric!
  10. Damn. That's what I get for doing this from my phone... Well said both Stratos and JM.
  11. JM pretty much hits the nail on the head throughout the entire thread. But I have my own "favorite JM" quote from that thread. In response to letting sales figures dictate what ED should focus on. "SHQ member - Why make a poll when they have sales figures? JM - Really? They have sales figures of a FC3 style western multiform aircraft?" I'm pretty sure the interest would explode should a FC3 level F-18 or F-16 be released. Or a FC3 AH-64 for that matter...
  12. I wonder if the avionics.ini files for the aircraft are missing "Landing mode" (or whatever it's called) from the HUD entries and so the HUD is just disappearing. IIRC, that mode was introduced with SF2NA. Maybe the avionics files you are using are from before then...?
  13. Do you have Stary's SARCASM mod installed? I had the same problem with the mod installed. Never could figure what caused it.
  14. IMHO, they are most likely just going to 1) start selling FSX (as-is) on Steam, and 2) take MS Flight and re-brand it, re-release it, and then continue developing DLC for it. Read about it and get all kinds of outrageous theories about what's going to happen here: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/446086-dovetail-games-buys-licensing-deal-with-microsoft/

    Colored SAMs

Unless this guy had official permission to do this he is an idiot and the reason why someday I won't be able to fly my little Blade CX2 in my backyard or my foam GWS Corsair at an empty park. If the drone had been damaged by one of the fireworks and come down near any people, it could have seriously hurt someone. And in this day and age (as much as I don't agree with it) the masses pay for the mistakes of the stupid few. Not to mention these idiots frequently fly these things in controlled airspace at altitudes (due to the advance of technology) that aircraft operate at. Wait until a plane or helicopter runs into one...
  16. Not to drift OT, but I found this to be a helpful resource for USN units and aircraft used in Korea. http://www.history.navy.mil/branches/koreaob.htm
  17. I'm posting this campaign here for folks to test and provide feedback. It's a BETA! You've been warned. This is Do335's KAW campaign with nodes, ground units, supply levels, etc... changed to create a ground war during the campaign. I tried to create a very complex set of nodes with 30+ ground units, but ran into problems with the campaign ending prematurely. As a result, I've had to scale back the ground war to ensure it works the way I want it to. There is just one route that connects the top of NK to Pusan in SK. I have started and played a few missions into a few different campaigns. However, to know if all the levels, nodes, etc... are set correctly, the campaign needs to be played all the way through using several different units that focus on different types of missions (A/A, strike, interdiction, CAS, etc...). This is the point I'm at now, and I'll need some help from other folks to get the testing done. As you play through the campaign, please pay close attention (or even note down) what types of missions you're flying, whether you're successful or not, and what is happening with the ground war. If you mouse over ground units on the campaign map, it will tell you if there is an offensive taking place or not. And, of course, the mission debriefing will let you know if an offensive has been successful or repelled. This information will be very helpful to me when trying to determine how to adjust supply levels to properly pace the ground war. Ideally, the median outcome of the campaign will be the frontline just shifting back and forth between Seoul and Pyongyang throughout the campaign. Ideally, in instances where the player does very well (or is lucky) the US may take over much of the peninsula or even capture the enemy base area and win the campaign early. Ideally, in instances where the player does very poorly (or is very unlucky), NK may take much of the peninsula or capture Pusan and the player will loos the campaign early. Hopefully the latter two outcomes are more rare and most of the time the campaign ends in a draw. To install: 1. Download and install Do335's campaign and install per the directions (including all the items from jeanba's list), EXCEPT for step 4.a. I don't think that is necessary. http://combatace.com/topic/76391-campaign-for-kaw/ 2. Download the attached .zip file 3. Drop "Korean War.ini" and "Korean War_Data.ini" into the Campaigns/Korean War folder. Overwrite when asked. 4. Back up "Korea3_movement.ini" in you Terrains/Korea3 folder, then drop the "Korea3_movement.ini" files from the .rar into Terrains/Korea3. Overwrite when asked. Please leave all feedback in this thread. Thanks! KAW with Ground War Beta 062614.rar
  18. FWIW - I had to increase the base quantity of the Mk5-F4URack rocket pod to get them to be available at the start of a campaign or to have enough to loadout multiple aircraft in a single mission. Changing BaseQuantity=10 to =100 did the trick. Otherwise looks good, Wrench!
  19. I figured something was up given the tone of his replies and the use of a guest forum name.
  20. Nothing wrong with having both choices out there so folks can choose between folding wings or correct number of pylons.
  21. You know what? I forgot to try it again last night. I'll try to remember tonight!
