The incapable of completing campaigns was a big issue in the beginning, but later patches did eventually fix that. It was not the 1st couple, but the 3rd or so. You are not saving the old campaigns and trying to tuck them back into a fresh install are you? That will never work. Fresh install, patch it to the max, and you should be good to go. I was on the original beta team, and remember the WalMart fiasco all too well. Have fun!

Small point, from 74 - 78 there was no ACC, it was TAC. Similar, but slightly different patch.

I don't know if that has been cracked yet, been hoping for one since the dawn of Thirdwire. I imagine that there has to be multiple views, for a lack the proper name, in the 3D animation. Something with this seems seriously borked, as it has been a LONG time without. Bottom line, I dunno. Aren't you glad I stopped by?

I doubt it. I hear the only live fire shows still going on are in Switzerland, of all places. They usually do that chumpy Hollywood deal with a gadzillion gallons of gas, and touch it off when some aircraft makes a low pass. Big whoop. Do you know they cancelled the Fairchild AFB airshow 2 weekends ago, with no notice? I checked the local paper on Thursday, showed up with the whole fam-damily on Saturday morn', and they said, "sorry, the paper made a mistake. It is postponed until next year." Postponed? Sounds like cancelled! And on the 60th Anniversary of the USAF? I am deeply appalled. I wanted to see the Raptor in real life, and the OV-22 was to make an appearance. Badly miffed, I am.

Are they the same ones that are in the NATO fighters campaign? If so, yeah, they work! Too well, as there is a site or two by the border that have been "captured" or some such, and unload on you, with good effect on the wingies.

Ran into my first Foxhound interceptors while flying Falcons over Israel 2. They deked us with a pair of Yak-141's and then came BLOWIN' up our sixes! I had just popped a Yak, and was rolling in on the 2nd when I got a Radar alert and broke off, and down. Sent my wingie after the shipping targets, and loosed my mavericks quickly. Popped up to engage the `31's, but they were orbiting at about 1700 knots!!! Tossed a Sparrow, then my last sidewinder, after gettin a good tone. Never came close. Definitely puts a new perspective on dogfighting, incredibly cool!

Ah ha! That's where they hid `em! I was looking for P-38, not a pack. I never got into the WW2 props for this sim, but may have to now. Thanks for th tip, BwF.

Er, just to be a pain, where is a good place to find Wolf's P-38's? I just got the new Saitek yoke sent to me for review, and the Lightning would be a great system to test it out in. With your fine new skin, of course!

Once 8 GB flash drives are cheap enough, I may have to try it! Yeah, I gotta have all the candy or it just ain't as cool. My 80 GB external 2.5" drive may fit the bill though...

A half dozen BlitzPigs got together there last summer. A very cool place for a virtual squadron to hook up! I had pics up, but our servers changed about 6 months ago and are no longer hosted.

Hoo-yeah! This looks GREAT! I've only ever been to one of these bases IRL, Alhorn, which was a FOL for the 81st TFW out of RAF Bentwaters/Woodbridge. It will be cool to see it in game. I hope the other 3 FOL's get your attention in future work. Sembach, Leipheim, and Norvenich. ___EDIT___ Swapped out Alhorn and Norvenich, as I realized which one you had done. I interchange them, as they were both Woodbridges WAFOLS, not Bentwaters, which is where I was stationed.
