  1. Wow first time I see something that is equally "pretty" as the H-19
  2. Heh, not sure as I land without it so I didn't notice. However a quick glance at the data.ini of the F-15E for example shows this: [upperLandingLight] SystemType=LIGHT Position=-0.015,3.198,-0.920 LightSrcOffset=2.6046,49.0560,3.50 Color=0.66,0.66,0.6 Brightness=0.10 LightSrcRange=150 LightRange=45.0 <----- Try reducing this value until you are happy with results CanFlash=FALSE IsLandingLight=TRUE
  3. Well I watched "Desert Aces" and Epstein and the others did have quite a specific english accent(not bad, just specific), also I know a couple of Israellis and you can hear that same accent when they speak english too...
  4. Yeah neither did I but flying at night over virtual Iraq tends to rise such questions
  5. Cure for afterburner, you have to change in respective .ini Like this: [EmitterType001] Name=EagleAfterburnerEmitter EmissionType=ORIENTED_EMITTER UpdateType=NON_MOVING MaxVisibleDistance=8000.000000 EmissionRate=0.000800 EmissionVolume=0.010000,0.010000,0.010000 EmissionVelocityTableType=CONSTANT EmissionVelocity=0.000000,-120.000000,0.000000 HasLightSource=TRUE LightColor=0.405,0.396,0.342 LightRange=5.0 <-------This used to be 200 which was fine for old series(no bloom and stuff), but TK's planes in SF2 have value of 5 and it works perfectly
  6. Russian back yard, AFAIC they can do whatever they want there...
  7. My bet is you wouldn't have it in WinXP. Last change with the TV image was in May, it brought advanced shaders with it and my guess is something went wrong with the *.fx script...
  8. ESRB notice: Foul language Anyway this one is epic:
  9. Arrrgh this was suppose to go in the SF2 section as this is merged SF2 with latest patch...
  10. All stock for testing, Desert terrain, HarrierGr3: I noticed the problem with the F-18A flying at night over Iraq, the office was lit up by it so much it felt like flying a Christmas tree. However F-15C and E are OK so I can't catch a pattern here but quite a few moving maps are lit like that in the night... Anybody knows any way to tone them down?
  11. I basically have only one RWR.lst applied to all planes with TEWS on the same path in the AVIONICS.INI, true you have to update every single AVIONICS file but once you do that, it all good. ;)
  12. Yeah I've been using brighter since I was making skins for il2, awsome tool.
  13. Yes they use normal FM which puts player in quite a disadvantage, however even like that they are still nowhere near a match for me. The only really irritating fights are MiG-17 vs F-4(even "E") as the lil' MiG's flying on Normal setting turn like go carts so I often run out of fuel before I get an angle on any of the little suckers. Also for those guys flying more modern scenarios, I think their missiles are either more powerfull, or they are more resiliant to players missiles. Don't know, it's hard to say what goes on in modern BVR/VVR furball so I might just be a bad looser on this one lol
  14. OMG, there's an AWACS role and it's working?!?!
  15. What could be on my mind at 38°C...ught

    1. Stary

      Stary

same here, even had 42°C at my window afternoon

    2. Muesli

      Muesli

Same here in NL. Was thinking of boiling something...

  16. Brutal, I don't see a point in such a play, congrats to Spain all this makes your victory even more epic Just to remind what I said when the championship started
  17. Haha I remember those day, my buddy had 32MB of EDO on P1 166MHz, we were like: "Dude do you secretly work for NASA or what?"
  18. AFAIK no, but I agree it looks really pretty, even better than the single seater
  19. Quite easily actually, I must slap my senile head for not posting this eons ago as I've been using it since last year: Anyway first you download this little tool: http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia/Graphic/Graphic-Editors/DXTBmp.shtml Then you just load your damage texture in TGA format into it and save as DDS DXT3 and that's it. Just make sure in the Mipmap form on the left right everything is unchecked, "Scaling Filter" is set to "Box" and "Processing" is set to "None". It may already be like that by default but I don't remember as I have it installed for a long time. I didn't post a screenshot as those are pretty much the only things you have to make sure off. It's a very simple program but helps immensely if you are really up to fully converting your stuff to the newest SF2 bells and whistles, it also reduces the amount of space on your HDD needed for the damage textures and keeps everything nice and tidy. P.S. Don't forget to edit the main ini to use DDS instead of TGA or you will not see the damage in game! P.S.2. I can't post in KB so I posted it here, this could be good as I guess more people will see it here lol
