  1. What if a man believes a fighter is a passenger plane: That must hurt!

  4. Does we have already the GPU-2/A gunpod for the A-4 Skyhawk?
  5. Ye-8 aka MiG-23F Built in 2 prototypes in 1962. It was nearly as agile as a F-16A, which was developed 10 years later. Development canceled in favor of Ye-231, later called MiG-23S swing wing fighter plane.
  6. The F-14 in SF2NA has the capability to fire up to 4 AIM-54 at 4 different targets at one time. I wanted to use this capability for other planes, because modern fighters can simultaniously engange multiple targets. I took a look in the F-14A_avionics.ini but i found nothing related with the multiple target engangement capability. Has someone an idea how to solve that problem?

  9. You could try to use the wingtip tanks of the stock Yak-23. They have a similar shape like the Venom wingtip tanks.
  10. To fly over Sinai you need SF2 Israel module or you search in the download area for "Israel terrain" or "Sinai terrain"
  11. I have no idea. But i would say, that the wings were not made for built in weapons. Since the wings had one hardpoint for light bombs, i think the Egyptians would have used underwing pods. But this only a guess. In the GDR the Yak-11 only used the internal 12,7 mm gun.

  14. An other interesting fact: In 1960 french and the soviet moviemakers created the war movie "Normandie Njemen". In this movie the Yak-11 was used to act as soviet WW2 fighters. Here the french trailer: It shows the Yak-11 in action. If you can get access to the movie, it is worth to have a look on it.
  15. The Yak-11 was not a basic trainer. It was a transistion trainer for pilots, which was intended to become a fighter pilot. The engine was basically the WW2 fighter motor ASh-82, but reduced by one cylinder ring. The power was dramatically reduced, so that the plane was not overpowered and easy to handle, even for unexperienced pilots. On the other side the climb speed of the plane was poor and it needed long runways for take off. Flugplatzmuseum Cottbus Luftwaffenmusem Berlin-Gatow

  18. German F-18A, mid 1980th.
  19. During Korea War the MiG-15, flown by soviet pilots, had 3-digit black numbers. The tactical number was made by the last 3 digits of the serial (production) number of the plane.
  20. East German Afrikakorps F-14A.
