I'm putting together a 'WOEMAC' install based around the excellent Black Sea terrain. The main contenders will be Russia vs Ukraine, and I'll add in Turkey and maybe some other NATO stuff later once it's up and running. I fly mostly single game generated missions, so as Russia and Ukraine use a lot of the same planes I'll be making nation specific Ukrainian versions of the planes and a selection of weapons. Do I need to do the same with ground objects (tanks, trucks ZSU-23-4 etc) and for SAM missiles too? I don't want the Russian planes facing US tanks and AAA. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Lol! Wouldn't mind having a go at El Al for WOI though...

It looks like it's been done already and will be included in the Wings Over Timor campaign. Check out the thread at Capun's site in the WIP forum.

False! United all the way mate (Manchester that is)! The person below me also can't wait until the tax return filing deadline of 31st January gets here so they can then get some sleep!

Looks good. Maybe we could have a book thread or section in the Pub? Fiction and non-fiction sections where we can post reviews and/or links to books that we have read or want to read. What about it moderators?

Kevin, that opens up a LOT of possibilities... Clint in the Firefox of course, but the you could also have George Peppard in a Fokker DR1, Michael Caine in a Spitfire, John Wayne in a P-40, or even Frank Sinatra in a P-38 to name just a few. Oh and all those cold war SAC movies you like so much too.

You could always download the New Nations pack which would give you all the stock countries and a whole lot more besides... http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autoc...p;showfile=1630

IAI-201 skin textureset pack View File This is a set of textureset.ini files for the Israeli, Mexican and Venezuelan skins for the Dev A-team's IAI-201 Arava uploaded by Fire Fox. You need these to get the skins to appear on your aircraft ingame! Installation: 1) Download and install the Arava from the Dev A-team's site. http://cplengineeringllc.com/SFP1/ 2) Download and install the three skins noted above to your Objects/Aircraft/IAI-201 folder http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autoc...p;showfile=8012 http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autoc...p;showfile=8013 http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autoc...p;showfile=8014 3) Extract this mod to your Objects/Aircraft folder and let it overwrite when prompted. Your skin folders will now include the necessary files and you can choose them when you load up the game and go to the hangar screen. Thanks to TK for the game, Capun and the A Tream for the plane, and Fire Fox for the skins. Have fun, and good hunting! Allen (allenjb42) Burton Any problems, find me at combatace.com, simhq.com or cplengineeringllc.com Submitter allenjb42 Submitted 01/10/2009 Category DAT Mods

Great stuff mate! I'll update the list when I get home tonight. I did notice, though, that the skin folders don't include textureset.ini files which are needed to get them working ingame. If you want me to put them together and either send them to you or upload them myself please let me know.

With his permission, I'd like to share some of Mannie's pm's from the last few days: Last 10 days since the starting of the operation, Hamas are launching rockets at all directions, trying to hit as much as they can. they have also started to use the more powerful and longer range Grad rockets. On these days (and nights), sirens sounded in town got us (me,my wife and the kids) running into the MAMAD. (in house shelter.) Explosions, some far and some a little closer didn't hit anything significant here in Yavne but never the less made us feel bad just thinking that those b******s can actually get us. I just came back from my father in Ashdod and saw the building that was hit by a Grad rocket three days ago. just two blocks away from where my dad lives. Well at least he's playing it cool. BTW, tomorrow its his 77th birthday So, no politics, no discussion of the whys or wherefores of this ongoing conflict. Just a simple wish and prayer that our member and friend Mannie and his family get through it in one piece.

Yes, those are the names that Capun has used. Looking forward to whatever textures you bring us, whether Israeli or not.
-
Looks great. Are you going to post it here or pass it to Capun to include with the release of the plane? The beta only includes a Colombian skin. I'm trying to work on an Israeli one myself but don't have much free time at the moment

List updated for Veltro's great Hudson and xearl's A-4E_IAF As we seem to have dropped off the sticky section, I'll keep updating the list, and if anyone has any WIP shots or anything else Israeli related then please feel free to post here and keep the thread in view. We seem to have quite a few Isreali weapons in the various weapons packs, so I'll post links to the packs, specifying which weapons are available in each as soon as I get some time.

Looks great!

Great model Dels, and a real blast from the past in terms of flight sims. I remember flying the old F-29 Retaliator game on my Amiga back in the day. This is not a request by any means, but could the model be used as the basis for an F-20 Tigershark by editing the wings and stabs?

My first thought was that WW2 isn't really a starter with a 3 aircraft-type limit because that would be it, with no stock WW2 planes to fill out the game. Although I suppose you could do BoB with a choice from Spit/Hurri, 109/110 and He-111/Ju-88/Do-17 How about this one though: 1) WOE 2) TMF F-14A Tomcat, AD's A6M Zero, DAT SH-3 Seaking 3) DO's CVN, Widesky 4) Wrench's upcoming Pearl Harbour To quote the great Rolf Harris: 'Can you tell what it is yet?'

WW1 - 50/50 Germany and British WW2 BoB/Europe and Med - 75% British, 25% Germany WW2 Pacific - 75% US, 25% Japanese WW2 Eastern Front - 99% Germany IranIraq - Mainly Iranian WOE - Mostly USAF and RAF WOI - 100% Israeli WOV - 100% US Korea - 99% US, 1% other UN DACM mod - 50/50 USN and Aggressors
