Comes down to what they are driving and what I am driving if for example a Mig-17 or 15 and I am driving a F-4 then it's easy take it into the vertical or plug the burners and run... F-4 vs Mig-29 or Su-27 then it gets really tricky... Split S. Also depends what load I am carrying... and what mission I am on...

Well I was thinking of the Russians next as they have an interesting Tech tree... but saying that got to level 5 last night and got the Ju-88A-4 and damn that thing is fun to fly provided there are no Beaufighters roaming around to chew you apart...

You should be able to fly the Blenheim now I think and then the Beaufort... give them a go and don't forget to upgrade your gunners...

Well I have switched sides now and managed to get to level 4 with the Germans... and just seeing whats what... will get myself to level 6 and then take on either the US or the Japanese not sure which yet...

DA that's wrong on so many levels but funny... Or when you have been flying so long that when your chasing a BMW motorbike down the Autobahn on a Triumph you call fox one... or even worse you indicate and say he's too close switching to guns loud enough to surprise your pillion...

It seems no-one has an idea what the Specs are to be honest. I am running on a 4 core 3.2 Athlon Black with 4 gigs ram and a 1gig HD5670. All my kit is around 3 years old or so and it zips along at a good rate. Might be an idea to download and see if it runs... best I can suggest.

As to Gepard I have respect for him playing the Devil's Advocate in this even if he was on the other side of the Wall ... We all agree that the 22 is not invunerable and it is possible to shoot it down but to be honest this is setting up the NK's to advertise that the US is serious about South Korea. As to Russian jets being sold to private companies. Russia accepts it and these birds are sold to make revenue and they were not the latest block out there, I know that the Teen series are not the latest but the Western militaries do not want to give up a single jet and to purchase one privately would cost a bucket load of cash compared to a 29 / 27...

In War no-one plays fair... so take the biggest bat you have and hit the other guys while he is looking the other way... Also flying low is what cost the RAF etc in Gulf War 1 and the one thing that the DPK has is a bucketload and then some of guns and flying in that area is not really healthy as with most modern aircraft A-10 or Rook excluded small arms will bring them down... hit em high hard and fast... And remember the game has changed as Dave quoted even the Russians/Soviets realised that in Afghanistan and in Chechnya you go in high and fast out of range of all the zipper guns and Manpads as the rule comes in here you fire enough you will hit something...

Outstanding and so much to look at it's a shame to fly them in case you get shot down...

Also one thing that the 22 can do is it can go in fast and drop JDAM's on any birds on the pads getting ready to fire at Japan South Korea Taiwan China Russia the US etc... without the need to advertise that they are coming and they can be on target in minutes instead of hours as the B-2 or Tomahawks... and without the need for a package to go in as well with ECM SEAD and Air Cover...

My preferred at present is the British... I may not get many Air to Air Kills (mostly accidental)... but I am happier dropping bombs and then trying to get out of trouble... Currently in the Brits I am level 6 with Beaufighters and my 2 weapons of choice a Havoc and a Beaufort... The later seems to eat fighters for breakfast...

It's just to distract us from the end of the internet... or world or some such...

Dave can finally fly his pony!!! And another one what are you all using for controllers ? I am trying to use my usual flight stick but from what I hear there are a lot of people who seem to be achieving better using mouse and keyboard...

Oh yeah mine is Beeble... after Zaphod Beeblebrox... Must admit I am having a blast flying the Bombers as I am not too great with the fighters and I have more Air to Air kills with my bombers than fighters and had an amusing time chasing a Beaufort around with my Havoc...

It's more Arcade style... and with aircraft from the early 1930's up until about 1950 Hawker Furies up to Sabre's and Mig-15's... it is mainly aimed at dogfighting with ground attack thrown in for fun. Or in my case it's Ground Attack with Dogfighting thrown in for fun...
