  1. What no Austrians!!! meh annoyed now... I will join once I have my new PC up and running in 3 weeks... I am back in training on the good old Strutter... wonderful old girl and great for shooting down Ennie's apart from a certain Mr Oswald Bloeke... though we have reached an impasse now as I get him about the same as he gets me... To all the others thinking of joining Good Luck to you all and may luck stay with you on whatever side you fly...
  2. Okay with the Dogfight series I have seen some questionable flight physics... some of them are extremely questionable... As to the paint schemes it can be done... you need to make sure you have the paint schemes download... then its a select which ever one you require for your number 2 3 4 etc... but this would only apply to your squadron... It's been awhile since I flew First Eagles though... hope this helps
  3. I have sent you a PM RAF_Lou... with regards to Sopwith products... I don't care that you are copying and pasting it all looks wonderful and gives a sense of belonging to this wonderful drug called OFF... What you guys do is wonderful...
  4. Okay I am not too familiar with First Eagles... but you need to make sure you have plenty of speed and use your rudder in the turn... be aware some aircraft are not powerful enough or manouverable enough to do this... If I remember rightly (not at home so cannot test) in a left turn you need to use opposite rudder to keep the nose up. You will bleed speed no matter if your flying a WW1 jet or a current jet fighter... its all in the Aerodynamics...
  5. If it's before the weapons operations date you will get older missiles doesn't matter on what the Loadout states... I have even seen a setup with AA-2's!!! on a Mig-29A Soviet... even though loadout should have been AA-8's x 4 and 2 AA-10 Alamo's
  6. As far as I understand... the 2 models are used practically the same... but I think the single seater is more aimed at Intercept etc and the twin for attack/recce missions where having 2 heads is better than one... maybe I am wrong and if I am my apologies... Must admit I usually fly my singles on Intercept and air to air and the twin on any attack profile missions... F-18E Intercept Cap Escort and AAR... F-18F Sead Attack (both Shipping and ground) Recce... A more definitive answer I don't know
  7. I will admit I never knew about it until the OFF crowd turned up here on Combatace I then read through the Forum for OFF... 3 months later I dived in and purchased the game over a year later I still havn't made it to 1917 !!! But boy have I had a whole heap of fun in learning to fly a Sopwith Strutter... and I will admit it is the only WW1 Flight sim I own... truly is a work of art and sometimes when attacking another airplane I don't want to shoot it down because it looks so good... I generally attempt to do so though... Excellent Review of a Wonderful game...
  8. F-35, Wingcommander, and Forts and Stangs and all looking outstandingly wonderful....
  9. Must admit I run both SF1 has some great campaigns that I still use plus I like the old Merc Campaign in SF1... so I patch to 08 and it works great... Also I would be interested in knowing what this release is but hey as always I will go and wait with patience at the bar...
  10. Its Friday and I finally get 2 days clear to spend time simflying...

  11. May they rest in peace...
  12. Remember the fallen as it's the only way we get our freedom... to all Veterans everywhere may you know peace after your service and to all those who have fallen may they rest in peace
  13. Very beautiful works going on there that Sea King looks wonderful and as to the staying tuned you bet your boots I will be... magnificent work by all
  14. Welcome to the war Taillyho... old chap not flown the Bristol yet as I am trundling round in the Sopwith Strutter with RNAS 5 I seem to have been there for years. With flirtations with the Kraut stuff... As to the Fokker Scourge your in for a hectic time I can tell you. Just worked out I have had OFF for just over a year now (Even with 5 months absence from the Virtual Skies and I still love the sound of the aircraft starting in the morning, if only someone could shut the dog up from barking as I am not a morning person and it wakes me up... ) All I will do is wish you the best of luck and this piece of advice... prepare your next pilot, I gave up counting how many I went through and I have been flying combat flight sims since 1985 or so (Yeah I am that old)... Oh I forgot my drink order... well it was still morning and far too early... I will settle for a cup of Blue mountain coffee with a side drink of schnapps...
  15. Needed that one...
  16. No you should be fine with your current pilots... I just updated mine at the weekend from OFF to HiTR and my last remaining pilot is okay... all the others are captured or dead...
  17. I will use my patented comment that is used in my office... Patience and all will be revealed at the correct time in an orderly manner... now where's my coffee gone... Cheers for the update though... ODS in SF2 whatever next ???

  19. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-11710660 As today is Remembrance Day... This is a short story on the Unknown Soldier...
  20. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-11730522 a team of six marines on a 3,530 mile, eight-week running odyssey, passing through three deserts, four time zones, 10 mountain ranges, 16 states and 789 towns across the US.
  21. As I posted in the Pub I will just add to this post... As today is rememberence day here in the UK I send this it is a poem by Wilfred Owen and is called :- Anthem for a doomed Youth What passing-bells for these who die as cattle? Only the monstrous anger of the guns. Only the stuttering rifles' rapid rattle Can patter out their hasty orisons. No mockeries now for them; no prayers nor bells; Nor any voice of mourning save the choirs, The shrill, demented choirs of wailing shells; And bugles calling for them from sad shires. What candles may be held to speed them all? Not in the hands of boys but in their eyes Shall shine the holy glimmers of goodbyes. The pallor of girls' brows shall be their pall; Their flowers the tenderness of patient minds, And each slow dusk a drawing-down of blinds. To all those who have died and been injured may we remember them now and forever for what they gave so that we may have the freedom we should rightly covet... for being free is a gift that some give their lives so that others may experience it. To all the fallen on the battlefield may they rest in peace.

  23. Rule one There is only one good defensive move to make in that situation fight back the only good defensive is have a great offense... Attack them head on and as above dive for the deck as steep as possible just be wary if your flying a plane that has a tendency to shed wings.... oh and have a chat with the wonderful lady called luck... and remember to take her to dinner once you have landed safely... so she gives you better luck next time...
  24. Happy Birthday...
  25. I believe that there is one in WIP at present the only Jag is the GR-1-3 versions...
