  1. Not sure if this idea has been studied or done.. The F-105 was originally conceived as a nuclear bomber with a bomb bay. The bay was used for extra fuel though when the Thud went to Vietnam. If some of us are using the games where the Cold War has gone hot, why not have a Thud ready to carry a Mk-43 in the bombay it originally was designed to have?
  2. I am interested in obtaining the Vietnam map from WOV to import into my WOE. Does the Cat file included in WOE contain the map and terrain data as well as textures, objects, etc?<BR><BR>I know it has various other types of information as I was able to create an A-4 aircraft just merely by going into the cat file and pulling the proper INI and config files. While WOE won't utilize the carriers, I may be able to download campaigns for WOV to utilize them.

  6. I have read it. I can fly it in SF1 but I still cannot get the damned drop tanks to stop showing. When comparing the DATA INI to the WOE F-15, I see fuel tanks are on separate weapon station IDs, but are part of the same group ID. Do I need to do this with the Silent Eagle? I think I have figured out the afterburners though which is good news.
  7. I am doing my first SF2 to SF1 conversion on an aircraft. The choice is to take the SF2 F-15SE Silent Eagle and throw it into my SF1 game. Anyone that has converted craft to SF1 have any tips for me? I have read the FAQ on how to do it and the links of examples with the Hunter. If this works, next is the B-1R.
  8. I really hope they don't retire it. The thing is so good the Russians were afraid of it in the 80's hence probably why it was included in the START.
  9. Like everything else, on the bottom of it, there is a big fat stamp saying "made in China"
  10. I just have one quick question... What the hell can I shoot down in the Exosphere with that thing!?
  11. I managed to catch some of my standalone HAWKs cook some SAMs off at some SU-17s but no hits were scored. On the other hand my F-4G got greased by about 7 SA-11 Gadflys on a SEAD. Ouch.
  12. I have some Hawk standalone SAMs in my folder. I'll try and convert to STATIC_AAA and see what happens. I have multiple Soviet SAMs I need to do the same to.
  13. I will try changing the hawks to STATIC_AAA or MOBILE_AAA to see what happens.
  14. I didn't place S-300s on my maps and I can fly in 2027 with an S-300 site on every map.
  15. I am not seeing HAWKs in the ROC/Formosa/Taiwan terrain and all my export settings are right too. Only enemy bombers are shot down by Chapparals.

  17. Hey Lexx, I went ahead and added it. Looks fantastic! I also reinstalled my patch to make it work too. What a huge improvement to the atmosphere and a great experience. Unfortunetely I lost my SR-71 to a MIG-25P shortly after...
  18. That whole section is missing from the ENVIRONMENTSYSTEM.INI Do I just add it in there and see what happens?

  20. Lexx I tried switching back to the 2008 ENVIRONMENTSYSTEM.ini with no success. What fields in the INI cause the disipation of blue sky as you get higher?
  21. I did some fiddling with the altitude table data and succeeded! On the other hand, for the heck of it, I created a field on my MIG-25P using all 1's for stages and now have a MIG-25 that disappears completely after 105,000 feet. Oops. Of course a simple nose dive brings you back into the cockpit of the plane. I take it the gaming engine only allows you to fly up to 105,000 feet or something. Also, some pictures I have seen up here using what looks like the Siberian Sky effects (I have) in fact look like the sky is darker and closer to a stratosphere look. No matter how high I get I still see blue, but some people have almost a solid black in their screenshots. It looks like they are literally in outer space. What Environment system file is that???
  22. Looking good. A-Team Skunkworks has a skin that looks like the YF-12 (2-tone black with natural metal dorsal surfaces). That would be a sweet look for our new toy in the community.
  23. What about the Dry and Wet Mach tables? Do those have any correlation to altitude and its table?
  24. How do I do that? I have never touched those tables
  25. What about playing with the ceiling value in the Data INI? Does that change anything?
